EZ Storage

The only reason why this is a 4 star rating is because I wish the hours were slightly different (I tend to get there a half hour before closing all the time due to my own work schedule). Besides the hours, the facility is always clean. I frequently see employees sweeping the halls. When I stop by to make a payment or have a question/​inquiry, Anna is always extremely helpful, even when the phones are ringing off the hook and she has a line of customers waiting. She is always friendly and knowledgeable.
(Also note, there is an hour lunch break where the office is closed and by pure coincidence I am ALWAYS there during that exact time. Please see my photo that I posted of the lunch break hours).

Worst customer service. I have dealt with them three times, all three times with very bad experience. They are always very rude and they will overcharge you for gas if you don’t bring gas over the level you took the truck with.
I dropped off the truck today and she did not even look at the truck to tell me if there is a problem, instead she said she will e-​mail me the receipt. 15 minutes after I left she called and told me she is going to charge me $ 7 more for gas (which I filled up to the level I took the truck with). When I tried to explain this to her she yelled at me hung up.
There is a U-​Haul on the Victory Blvd, I recommend that you use that one instead.

I had a good experience renting a storage space. Terrence is always very polite and helpful.

Maria has a serious attitude problem.

Have rented there for at least six years. I had to go not too long ago and can I just say: so rude! The guy that works there raised his voice at me tapped his pen on the counter like he was my boss and cut me off every time I tried to finish a sentence. All I had is a comment and needed help. When I told him that kind of help was offered years ago he lost it. Literally lost it. His face got all red and he almost exploded. When I asked for management or supervisor he refused to contact them told me I had to email which I did and still did not hear back. He also threaten to throw me out because I kept insisting to speak to a manager. I imagine my email went to him and it was never given to Maria. Horrible experience. This place and area turned into ghetto used to be great helpful service and always willing to help. This guy obviously does not like assertive women or women in general that demand respect. I’m contemplating moving after I was treated like this after over 6 years renting there. To threaten to throw me out? Really kinda drama from a person that obviously has personal problems projected on others.

Let me start by saying this is my first experience renting a storage unit.
I checked many places in the area and this place, BY FAR, has the absolute best prices.
The staff is super nice and really go out of their way to explain the ins and outs of storage and their facility. Specifically, Thomas. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. I was actually surprised that a storage facility would be so hands-​on helpful.
I have a unit on the second floor. They have large flatbeds that you can load up and roll to the freight elevator. You go up the stairs and roll the flatbed to your unit. The lights are on a timer so you just push the switches as you go. One trip with the flatbed and an entire SUV of furniture and boxes was done.
I wish their gate hours were earlier (10am) but I like that they are strict about it — seems much more secure that way.
I have been back and forth quite a few times while moving, and it’s not a huge hassle or time consuming– which is very appreciated.
You can pay your bills and manage your account online, or set-​up auto-​pay. Either way it’s easy and convenient

I called these guys about renting a U-​Haul. Spoke to Thomas, who was incredibly helpful and thorough finding me a same-​day rental with some specific needs. He searched around, called me back, and got every detail right. I don’t know what they’re like for storage, but would be highly inclined to trust them.

I wish I could give zero stars. They overcharged me «accidentally» twice. All the employees are rude and can’t answer a basic question in English. The facility itself is about to fall apart. If you’re using a dolly to move your stuff, prepare to push through 500 doors in very narrow corridors. Oh and, they don’t send you a monthly bill. So you have to set yourself a reminder and call in to pay your bill because they’re online payment processor is always down.

Impossible to talk to someone.

I like E Z Storage. They are easy to find on Alameda, across from the Ralph’s (Alameda and San Fernando Bl.)
Although their address is on Alameda (20 E. Alameda avenue), their entrance is on Prospect Avenue. 1 block to the south, you can take San Fernando Blvd one block south to Prospect. or you can take the shortcut through the alley. If you are just looking for their address sign, it’s pretty small, but they have lots of signage, so they are easy to find.
They have the best prices in town. I know I have check regularly, at least 6 times a year, LOL I do a lot of storage. Short term and (sigh) long term. On and off, They have some great specials, so always ask.
No frills but they have everything you need including good security. They just started renting U-​Haul trucks there also, for me makes it convenient when you are doing moving and/​or storage.
They have stairs to the second level and large freight elevators. The storage units on the second floor are cheaper. (But if you get way in the back, I think it’s haunted!)
Besides their inside storage units, they have outside drive up units and even containers. They are one of the few places in the area that have car and truck storage spaces, (I use that a lot)
Everyone that works there is very friendly and helpful, the senior manager is Maria. They are very accommodating, except for their hours, they strictly enforce them. They are open 10: am to 7: pm, 7 days a week. Entrance is 10am-6:45pm (I learned the hard way). If you have a drive-​up unit the hours are earlier.
Myself, coworkers and friends have used them for years. Just for the record, No I do not work for them.

Reaching EZ Storage is not so EZ.
To get through the complicated phone system and talk to a REAL human being at the Burbank location, press 1…4…1.
It is SO DIFFICULT to get someone on the phone to give me a quote on storage rates!
I’ve tried calling 7 times and STILL can’t get to a real person to tell me how much storage costs! RIDICULOUS.
5^th call… went through all the stupid steps on the complicated phone system…
