John’s Guitar Rescue and Repair specializes in stringed instrument repair and customization. John Armentrout specializes in restrings, set ups, fret work, electronics including pickup installation, any and all repairs, restorations and customizations. Headstock repair is another of John’s specialties. Years of experience working on electric and acoustic guitars, basses, ukuleles, mandolins, banjos, sitars, dulcimers… anything with strings.

History

Established in 2014.

John Armentrout has over 30 years of musical experience, specializing in stringed instrument repair. After 10 years as Head Guitar Tech at a large music store on Sunset in Hollywood (not wanting to give them an extra publicity), John has gained a vast experience fixing all types of stringed instruments for studio musicians, performing artists and people who just enjoy playing. Daily, John works with a variety of instruments from vintage pieces worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to much less expensive instruments requiring a simple string change. Having grown tired of big business practices, John decided to move his business back home to Burbank so he can give each project the time and attention they (and his clients) deserve.
