My iPhone 6 had water damage and the miracle workers at LAPC brought my phone back to life, fully functioning!

Look, I’m all for local businesses and I wish I didn’t have to write this review but this place was a complete waste of time and money. My Dell laptop isn’t even six months old and it crapped out last week. One minute I’m using it, the next minute I put it down and it starts making a weird clicking sound, then it died. When I tried to start it back up the error message was «hard drive not installed». So I jumped on Unilocal and found this place. Close to my house, good rating, so I’ll give them a shot. I brought it in and dropped it off last Friday. JT the tech I spoke with said he needed the disc with the operating software. I told him I didn’t remember it coming with a disc. So I asked my wife and she said, «the computer doesn’t even have a CD drive. It didn’t come with a disc». Call him back Saturday morning and he says, oh yeah. you’re right. Give me about an hour and I should have some info for you. Three hours go by. I call him again. Just give me a few more hours, he says. Then he finally called about 20 minutes before they closed (and they’re not open on Sunday) and he says he needs the power supply because they’ve been working on it all day. Monday. I call him back and he says that the new hard drive Dell sent me won’t install properly. It keeps quitting at the last minute. I talk to Dell and they said that was a common problem and there is a download that can resolve it. So I need a flash drive with at least 8gb of free space. I go to Staples and pick up some flash drives and when I drop them off the owner says. I have that download already preloaded on some drives. I don’t know why JT told you that. So they installed the new replacement hard drive and then they told me that they couldn’t recover any of my files. They charged me $ 150 to swap the damaged hard drive for the new one. If I wanted to I could have looked it up on YouTube and done that myself. Complete waste of time and money going to these guys. Then they tried to pitch me on a data recovery service that offered to recover my files for between $ 900-​$ 3500 (the computer didn’t cost me $ 900 and it’s less than six months old so how many gbs are we talking about?) Complete nonsense. Can you say «kickbacks»?
If you need a place to do data recovery there’s a company in Studio City or Sherman Oaks that’s literally called «$ 300 Data Recovery» with a 5 star rating and 260 customer reviews.

This place is great! Tino was extremely helpful, professional, and friendly. They fixed my shattered iPhone 6 screen and cleaned my headphone jack. Everything works great! I plan on taking my MacBook in for repair as well. I would definitely recommend LAPC to family and friends.

JT and Tino are the best. I have struggled to find computer help with my wife’s business, my business and my personal computers. Computers range from older to the newest and they have no problem working their magic with them. They’re friendly, very accommodating and fast. Very easy to talk to about computers without talking over your head. I’ve also had them work on several phones. They’re prices are very reasonable too. Plenty of places to check out if they say the work will take about an hour. From Flirt Salon on Hollywood Way to Portos across the street. There’s a pizza place a few doors over and plenty of others shops to keep you busy.

Best Repair service ever! Fast and cheap.
My experience: Amazing service! My phone was acting up with WiFi and GPS issues. When I took it into the Apple Genius Bar, they said my phone couldn’t be repaired and that I would have to buy a new one. I couldn’t believe it, so I looked around online and found this place. Tino said he thinks he knew the problem, so i took it in. Within a day, he found the problem and fixed it for less than $ 70, which is amazing since Apple said my phone «wasn’t repairable».
Very happy, and I will recommend them to everyone I know!

Came is to see how much a screen replacement was. Not only was JT able to fix the phone immediately but he was extremely knowledgeable and fun to work with. He gave me some tips and tricks to operate my phone, he explained what he was doing and was fast! All for the same price I found at other competitors without the sketchiness. And a 90 warranty to top it off! Thanks JT and Tino!

These dudes are miracle workers, man!!! LOOK NO FURTHER! I dropped my brand new iPhone 6 out of my back pocket in the toilet in November, and it was absolutely devastating because it had just been upgraded a few months ago. I’m on my mom’s plan and she was ready to wring my neck, so I took to good ol’ Google (on my laptop, of course) and read a few reviews about water damage repair. I live in The Valley and LAPC was a perk because it’s close by, plus they have RAVE reviews so I emailed Tino ASAP. I know I sounded way desperate in my email, and he got back with me immediately (I emailed him at 9:30 pm and he replied at 11:30 pm) saying he could help, just DON’T plug the phone in and bring it in the next day. I was crushed because I already had plugged it in, in a frantic attempt to back the phone up before I lost everything. When you’re that upset though, you’ll do anything to make it better (please don’t get that bent over a phone, you didn’t cave in planet Earth!!!).
Although I felt completely doomed at this point, my mom and I took the phone in and both J.T. and Tino were SO nice. They said they’d do all they could. Of course I was told that since I hadn’t put the phone in rice in time, it had already begun to rust and corrode on the inside with all the water left in there. If they were able to restore some of its operability, it still might not have certain functions, like the fingerprint recognition.
I prayed long and hard about it as I waited because I knew I wouldn’t have a phone for a long time if it didn’t work. It took a few hours and when I went back to the store, they had miraculously restored it ALL … I even still had my fingerprint recognition, which they said was almost always lost in the process! The only thing that’s different is the watermark on the screen which is barely even noticeable and I don’t eeeeeeeven care about such a small thing. And of course, HUGE BONUS, the price was incredibly affordable!!! I’d recommend LAPC to EVERYONE. Not only did they fix the problem, they also made me feel so much better by letting me know this kind of thing happens often, and I’m not a complete loser for it happening to me! WHAT A RELIEF!!! We even got another phone that was dropped and cracked fixed with a nice smooth screen, and a new screen protector and case for my toilet phone!
I’ve got this place saved in my contacts now … Although I don’t plan on ever putting my phone in my back pocket again, it’s such an amazing place with super smart, suuuuper nice employees to have in your corner. Thanks Tino and JT for being AWESOME!!! :D

Okay. These guys are amazing. They take care of me like family. I mean every time I come in with my phone broken or damaged or not working they take my phone right away, fix it as fast as they can and charge me a low price. Today they even were able to give me a loaner phone so I wouldn’t be phone less. Thank you LAPC!!!

Today I got my HP desktop back, Tino and JT did an awesome job! Got a new operating system installed and they also installed a couple more programs for free. You really get your money worth here. Great service and quality work!

I came in to fix my slow computer that was long over due for a cleaning. I called ahead of time to see how much it would be but was told to come in for a check up and was quoted between 85 – 130. The business itself is in a cute area and it can easily be found, note that there is parking in the back and once parked just walk through the hallway in between business and you’ll quickly find the business to your right. It took them no longer than 3.5hrs to call me back with it fixed, and I should mention that Tino did call me before doing anything above my price range and to make sure he fixed everything to my liking. I picked up my laptop a few minutes before closing and even though both workers were busy with other customers they were quick to greet me and notify me that they would help me as soon as they could. Once Tino freed up he showed me all that he did and wasn’t just quick to ring me up without explaining all of his work. He taught me a few tips and tricks on how to keep my laptop clean from viruses, etc. Although hopefully I won’t n e e d his services anytime soon I’ll definitely be back for the other services he provides, iPhone cases, iPhone color changes, screen protectors etc. Overall, these guys aren’t just there to take your money… it’s clear they care for their customers and love to share their knowledge with all those that come through their door. After stupidly shattering my screen at the airport on my way to LA, I thought I was going to be stuck with a broken phone for my entire vacation. Out of Applecare fixes, and with no time to go to endless timesuck that is the Genius Bar, I looked around for a place that could take care of my phone quickly and affordably. Luckily, the great crew at LAPC was able to help me out, and fix my phone while I went to grab lunch. An hour later, they handed me off a phone with a brand new screen! Thanks guys!
