Unfortunately, being new to LA and not having a family doctor, the MinuteClinic was my only option when I came down with a sinus infection. As someone who is prone to sinus infections and is familiar with the symptoms and taking care of them at home with OTC medicine, I know that in order to fully take care of the infection, antibiotics are a must! HOWEVER, don’t expect the MinuteClinic to write you a prescription unless you have had your sinus infection for over a WEEK. If you’re trying to kick the sinus infection in the butt before it gets worse, don’t even think about it because you will get trapped into a second copay and a second visit– and who has time for that?

THE WORST.
Cynthia is RUDE, unprofessional and lazy. After waiting 30 min for someone to notice me, I finally knocked on the door lightly to ask for assistance. Cynthia was on the phone blabbing away. I asked for help signing in to be seen and she informed me that she would not be taking anymore patients. She had 45 min left before the clinic closed and told me that she would be another 15 min attending to another patient and that she needed the remaining 30 min «to herself because its been a busy day and she hasn’t had any time for herself». Seriously???
So I said «please don’t turn me away, im begging you, I already know whats wrong with me and what I need, please dont force me to go to hospital emergency room». She flay out said NO. Sorry, I cant help you.
So I go find a manager who walks back with me to speak with her, he asked her to see me amd that she still had 30 min lefton her shift. She REFUSED. She argued with him and asked him to support her decision and basically shut the door in our face. How and why she has this job is beyond me.
I was furious. I ended up waiting for 6 hours at hospital emergency room amd didn’t get home til 1 am, I had my 5 year old with me the whole time which was a nightmare, the whole situation just sucked. She could have helped me in less than 10 min amd gone about her way but she chose to be rude, lazy, and completely heartless.
I hope someone does to her what she did to me amd in the meantime I am filing a formal complaint against her. Im not holding my breath for a miracle, im guessing no one will even care, but at least there is Unilocal.And I can warn people about Cynthia the lazy incompetent wanna be Dr. And if one decides to go then at least they will be forewarned.

Went to this Minute Clinic on Tuesday morning. Showed up at 8:30 and was 6^th in line. Waited over an hour. I went in with flu like symptoms and a horrifically painful sore throat. I got tested for strep which came back negative. After that I was told it was just allergies. I was also told there was no need to put harsh antibiotics in my body. Was given some nose spray and stuff to numb my throat and was sent home. Flash forward to 2 days later I felt even worse. Went to a different urgent care and was told I had an awful sinus infection. Was given a shot and antibiotics right away. Needless to say I feel I was shooed away without the proper care. I will not be returning in the future.

This place far exceeded my expectations! My son developed an eye infection while we were on vacation and I was pretty freaked out about it. None of the local urgent care clinics took our insurance. But Eboni at Minute Clinic was fantastic, very friendly and invested in solving our problem, and it was such a relief to get treatment for my son. She made a stressful situation much better. And our wait was short because we arrived at opening time. If I lived nearby, this would be my go-​to clinic from now on.

There is only one word for this service and that is SCAM!
Avoid this place at all cost. They are not real doctors and have no intention of treating you without taking every last dime you have on you AND THEY SELL YOUR EMAIL so if you insist on visiting one, give a fake email on sign in. I have had over 20 medical spam a day since my visit.
The service costs $ 79 for a basic visit but this is all smoke and mirrors. What their real intention is, is to refuse to give you any medicine unless they can perform a series of insanely expensive test.
I had a chest infection and needed antibiotics. I have had this twice before, it’s just something I am susceptible too. I went to the minute clinic, signed in and waited. The doctor who was rude with no bedside manner did not look at my throat or into my ears but insisted if I wanted antibiotics I was going to need a $ 150 test, yes on top of my $ 79 to get a very basic issue treated. The female ‘doctor’ or snake oil salesman said she had to do the test to ensure it was a chest infection… as opposed to aids?
In the past real doctors have asked my symptoms, checked my throat, ears and asked about history of illness… each time I have have been prescribed antibiotics and all better in a few days.
At this ‘clinic’ they are just trying to take as much money out of you as possible. They do not care about treating patients with what is actually needed.
I refused to pay any of the money and walked out without my antibiotics, I went to the online doctor Plush Care and it was awesome.

I will not be returning after a TB follow up visit on Friday. I arrived at minute clinic Friday at 2:45 PM. There were 7 people ahead of me which was a good amount but I knew I had to wait. So I sat around and waited like every other person. An hour and a half of waiting another woman arrived who apparently was there for a follow up TB test as well. She signed in and started to become very impatient because there was such a long line ahead of her. She sat around for about 15 minutes then found an employee and started rambling on and on about how her treatment is so time sensitive and she doesn’t like cutting in front of people but if there is anything they can do for her. That employee directed her to the Store Manager (older man wearing a gray shirt). He was standing right by the clinic. She started to tell him the same story. She said her follow up was time senstive and blah blah blah. The guy then proceeded to tell her that they would take care of her. Mind you there are still 4 of us sitting waiting for our turn. He knocked on the door and the NP came out. He then told her that the lady had a quick TB follow up and she said I will squeeze you in right after my patient. I really wanted to stand up and say something but I decided I had been there for an hour and a half and I would just wait my turn and never return again. So the lady was squeezed in and taken care of while we waited. Another 30 minutes later it was my turn. I walked in and my follow up took 3 minutes. I was there a total of 2 hours.
When you go to minute clinic there are no exceptions especially if everyone else had to wait their turn. I will never be returning again.
P. S. The store managers move was very unprofessional he didn’t even care that there were other people waiting!!!

Cynthia Lee was Awesome! Came for a measles shot after work and thought I would have to come back on a Saturday. The computer stopped taking people but Cynthia was kind enough to squeeze me in. She was quick and got me in an out. And this was a new mom that has a 3 month old waiting for her at home.
This deserves a Unilocal!:)

Yes, the wait can be bad, but it is a clinic people, and that comes with the territory.
I was here today and the nurse practitioner was fantastic. She was very thorough in her questions and had an excellent caring manner. I had been nervous about some health issues but she made me relaxed and was patient with me.
When it is a minor issue or I can’t get in to see my doctor, I will continue to come here.

I went in to this cvs minute clinic for the first time although I’ve been to different locations before with no problems. This time however was AWFUL. I already didn’t feel well because I have a sinus and ear infection which is what I explained to the nurse/​doctor. She asked why I was there and I said I was pretty sure I have a sinus infection as the symptoms were the same as they have been many times before. I am prone to them and I know that a z-​pack will knock it out. Before I could even finish telling her what was wrong she interrupted me and aggressively started to rattling off that based on scientific research they are no longer offering z-​packs and that «CVS/​Minute clinic cannot defer from the policies.» I tried to chime in and tell her that I know my body and I am certain I need an antibiotic. She acted annoyed and literally kept saying she couldn’t defer from the policies over and over. She was rude and in my opinion unprofessional and anything but compassionate. Thankfully I realized that she wasn’t going to prescribe me anything to feel better and decided to leave before she did the exam which would have cost $ 79 – 99. I immediately called Hollywood Walk In clinic off of Selma in Hollywood and they said they still offered z-​packs and that they could get me right in. When you’re sick you need someone who understands and WANTS TO HELP YOU. Not someone barking policies at you and talking a million miles an hour. Get off your power trip lady. I nearly broke down in tears when I walked out. Total waste of time. I will never go back.

1 Star because there is no 0 Stars. The Name is a joke 40 minutes and $ 80 + to pull a splinter from an infected finger give me a freakin’ break! Not Happening go elsewhere. First time I visited I signed in, waited way way more than a minute and was then told I couldn’t be helped. :(:(:(

Incredible, quick service. This is the best walk in clinic experience I’ve ever had. Ebony McKnight was friendly, efficient, and extremely helpful.

If your doctor isn’t available. Wait here is 5 – 10 mins. Fast answers great staff. Especially when I was here on a sat ! It was in and out

Came in Wednesday for a quick TB skin test. There was a 4 hour wait so I signed in and left… came back 2 hours later just after the lunch break and was whisked in and taken care of quickly and professionally. The nurse was pleasant and told me that on my return trip to get the reading I had to sign in but wouldn’t need to wait… whoever was here would take me between other patients.
I write this review 2 days later after check in for my test reading. I was just informed rather rudely by todays nurse that this was not how she worked and that there were people who had been waiting and would be seen first!!!
Normally I’d be okay with this BUT after having been told differently at my initial appointment I’m a bit beyond pissed! I can’t blame this on a misunderstanding on my part either because there was another lady ahead of me with the very same story!!!
What makes matters even worse is that this nurse has a sweet «Hi my name is Mary» into in a sugary sweet voice… but I’ve already heard her rudeness and the «I don’t care» attitude… I’d give her some return attitude but am afraid she’ll give me a bad test result. Never never never will I return to a damn Million Minute Clinic!!!

This location should be renamed the «Hourclinic.» Service takes forever and since they are always busy, I am left standing for about an hour. Today I wanted a simple physical for school, but the wait was 1 hour 50 minutes. I left and came back, unfortunately I had to wait an additional 40 minutes because the nurse called me while I was gone. The nurses are good at their job, but of the three I have seen all seemed to be annoyed by their patients. The price is too high for a lack of convenience.

Health Care «Professional» was a joke. Certainly didn’t stick around for this «lady» to stick me with a needle. Learn some manners.

I love how fast and easy it is to utilize Minute Clinic.
With my insurance, my visit was completely free and my prescriptions were super cheap. They are knowledgable, and they will help you get the medication that you need in order to cure whatever ailment you have. Definitely more cost effective and fast than going to the doctor or the ER.
You are in and out in a flash and have the convenience of using the CVS pharmacy no more than five steps away. I definitely recommend visiting this Minute Clinic!

I was able to get the issue resolved. It was only $ 30 for the second test that I had already paid for when I had my visit. The lab did not get the confirmation that I was self-​pay which covered the lab cost. The CVS Minute Clinic was quick to respond to my complaint, reviewed my file and resolved my issue.

Went here to get a Rapid Strep Test because I thought I was coming down with something vicious when I felt like my «sore throat» wasn’t going away after a week. I didn’t feel like making a doctors appointment and waiting several days to get tested and googled and found minute clinic. I went to this location because it was opened later than any other location and was conveniently located near my house. I went in, put my name into the computer system, and was promptly seen by the nurse practitioner, Cynthia Lee. She was very professional and calm and informative and let me know how to take care of my strep throat and prescribed me antibiotics and a mouthwash to mitigate the pain. Overall I was in and out in about 30 minutes and they took my insurance! yay! I’m glad CVS offers this kind of service. It’s great for those working full-​time and dont want the hassle of going to the doctors.

If you live nearby and have a regular health-​related issue (fever, sore throat, whatever), then maybe head on over to the Minute Clinic, sort of a mini urgent care clinic. For simple things that you know are simple, it’s probably worth it at 80 bucks. Note, the more complicated issues aren’t going to be solved here because there’s NO DOCTOR, just a nurse practitioner. She’s able to do a lot, but not everything. That being said, she was fairly nice, and the process was EXTREMELY painless and fast. I just walked in, punched my info into the little kiosk-​y thing, and within 3 minutes, I was in the office already having my blood pressure taken. Turns out I had bronchitis and was prescribed medicine which I super conveniently got at the pharmacy a few steps away (literally). I’d go here again for a common ailment, as it’s pretty close to my casa.

I’ve now been to this clinic three times. The first 2 were for a TB test & reading, which were quick, painless and reasonably priced.
This week I decided to get checked out for a bad cold that would not end (going on 3 weeks now). There was no line, so I was seen right away. The nurse, Joyce, was friendly and thorough with her questions. She diagnosed me with bronchitis. She gave me prescriptions for antibiotics, cold medicine with codine to sleep & and inhaler for my really bad cough fits.
As I was resting at home today (2 days after visiting the clinic), the phone rang. It was Joyce from Minute Clinic calling to see how I was doing. As I fell into a bad cough fit, she recommended an over-​the counter remedy & advised me to go to the emergency room if it gets worse. I still can’t believe she called to check on me. How nice is that? My regular doctors don’t even do that! I highly recommend this clinic for its simplicity, care taken during the diagnosis and amazing follow up.
As an FYI, I went to the Montrose location first, but the line was long & they were not accepting more patients (they close at 6:30). This Burbank location is open later (until 7:30).
