He is very professional, so caring…
Don’t hesitate calling his office if you need dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, or any other oral surgery procedures.
I used to work for him a year ago, believe me he is the best, sooo knowledgeable, he knows what he is doing. He does his job amazingly perfect.
Did my wisdom tooth extration (impacted tooth), I had 0 pain!!!, no swelling at all. It’s was very quick, short and sweet…

Omg! What an amazing experience I had with Dr Raffi M and his office. From the time I stepped in till the time I said my good byes. Outstanding work by the Doctor and his crew. Not only does he provide great care, but he takes the time to ensure his patients are comfortable and he takes the time to ensure his patients understand each procedure done to them as well as guidance towards a quick recovery. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Margossian had performed multiple surgeries on me.
First time he put me to sleep and removed my 4 wisdom teeth.
Then he preformed a dental implant with crown… Each of these procedures were painless, very well oriented, never felt so happy to a dental appointment like in this office. The staff Is very professional, the office is always on point.
Each time before surgery Dr. Margossian takes a moment to explain the procedure and he assures that everything is going to be fine. And He delivered EVERY time. He’s a true PROFESSIONAL.

Had all 4 wisdom teeth removed, one of them surgically and Dr. Margossian was AMAZING! I was extremely nervous and the girls in the front made me feel so comfortable… The nurse who took me to the back was also so sweet and attentive. Once I was in, the doctor came in and before I knew it I was going home… Barely any swelling! They are very professional, give you clear knowledge of all costs beforehand, no suprises here. Like I said, there are all great… but special shoutout to Patty! Thank you!!!

The main receptionist is inadequate, and she blames the patients for her unprofessionalism. It’s been almost two months I’ve had my appointment, and she still claims she’s waiting to hear from my insurance company. I went online and checked that my insurance claim has gone through. I owe them a little less than what I paid for at my appointment. But really, keep the change. I don’t want anything to do with you anymore. She keeps calling me, «Sweetheart», which is weird and gross as is, but especially so since she probably hates me for reminding her to simply do her friggin’ job. Mr. Margossian, you may be a good oral surgeon. It doesn’t matter. You lost a patient because your receptionist is impatient, inadequate, and insufferable. Good day.

I just want to say that Dr. Raffi and his entire staff are the most amazing group of professionals! I have had two of my children get their wisdom teeth extracted there and both times were perfect! There were no problems and their recoveries were pretty painless. I have three more children that I will take to Dr. Raffi with no hesitation. I have absolute confidence in his expertise and abilities. I am totally stress free because I know that my children are in good hands with Dr. Raffi. I mean I really do consider him THE BEST oral surgeon in Los Angeles or anywhere. And did I mention how wonderful the staff are? Patty is SUCH a sweetheart! If you have any oral surgeon needs, I highly highly highly recommend Dr. Raffi Margossian.

After seeing my Unilocal comment, Dr Margossian personally called me to apologize and offered to make a more appropriate oral appliance.
Because of my previous experiences, I was quickly attended to at my appointment time and the whole staff was very kind. He even had his lab tech there especially for me to make certain all would go well… the service was quite good.
Within a week the appliance was completed, and minor adjustments were made for a good fit.

A couple weeks ago I had a terrible infection stemming from my impacted wisdom teeth and I was referred to him by quite a few of my friends. I called the office right away and they tried to schedule me ASAP but unfortunately I had to be on class. The first chance I got, I went in and surprisingly the staff remembered my call and was very tentative to my pain and concerns. The receptionist even reminded me to get a doctor’s note to make sure I wouldn’t get an in excuses absence! Amazing!
Now the problem was that I am deathly afraid of needles and a had read a review that made me feel more comfortable. Dr. Margossian’s assistant Patty cracked jokes and made sure to relieve me from some of my anxiety. When Dr. Margossian came in, he thoroughly explained the procedure to me and I explained that I had a severe phobia to which we showed me to tools he’s be using and told me he’d make sure to put some laughing has on me before putting me to sleep. I was so comfortable with him and his staff that I booked my appointment right away.
Surgery went well (thank God) and didn’t feel any needle pain or panic! It was great.
Patty called me to follow up a few hours later and cracked a joke or two which brightened my situation lol.
My experience was amazing and I miss seeing/​talking to the staff that I want to just pop in and say hello sometime! Great doc and staff!

Dr. Margossian is quite honestly awful. I was so hopeful before my first appointment, but that quickly vanished after I actually had the appointment.
To start, the desk staff is downright awful. The woman who took my appointment was rude, snappy, and wholly off-​putting. I told her I’d like to make an appointment and she answered with a quick «Well, what do you want?». I asked if appointments were available Wednesday. «No. Not then.» «Oh okay, well when is available?» She wouldn’t tell me what was available and just kept saying, «Well, when do you want it?» I spent about five minutes running through every possible date until I finally got a yes. Yikes! That was exhausting! To top it all off, she just seemed irritated with me for even calling. I have no idea what I did to bother this woman so much.
I’ve come to find that a bad desk staff is usually indicative of a bad doctor, but I had read some good Unilocal reviews (many people noted that the front desk was awful, but still liked Dr. Margossian), I thought I’d risk it anyway. That was a huge mistake.
When I walked in, I was met with that same awful desk staff. They seem like they expect you to know what to do when you’ve never been before. They’re grumpy and cold and act like everything you do is wrong. Not a great start.
So then this woman comes in to see me, she seems to be a nurse and is wearing scrubs but didn’t actually tell me who she was so I have no idea. She starts making jokes with me telling me that I look uncomfortable and I should smile and «lighten up» as she attempts a playful arm jab. (I’m pretty sure the best way to make someone more uncomfortable is to tell them how uncomfortable they look.) Now, I get that she was probably trying to help, but I’m in a lot of pain and I’m here for a serious medical issue. I was uncomfortable, and every person I came into contact with just made me feel worse.
So finally, Dr. Margossian comes in. I explain my problem and that I’m going through a lot of pain and well, quite honestly, he seemed bored and ready to leave. He tells me to try something I’ve already tried 3 times. I explain this and he chuckles and basically says it will work this time. I ask why it will be different, and the short answer? It won’t. It’s the same treatment. But it works for 90% of people so it should work for you. At this point, my eyes start watering. I’m upset and discouraged. As most people with chronic pain know, encountering yet another doctor who insists on trying the same thing that has never worked before is heartbreaking. I tried to explain I’m in extreme pain and that I really genuinely have already tried this treatment. He starts smirking at me and basically says, well you can try Option B. «Oh, okay, will Option B work?» I ask. «I wouldn’t recommend it,» he says. «Oh okay, then what should I try?» «We can try Option B.» «But, didn’t you say that wasn’t a good option?» «No,» he says, «I just wouldn’t recommend it.» I felt like I was talking to Cheshire Cat. I tried to understand for about 5 more minutes of conversation before I gave up. He wasn’t trying to help me understand, he was chuckling the whole time, and it felt like he was speaking in riddles.
I’ve had a lot of good doctors, and they all have one thing in common: they act like you matter. A good doctor will never blow you off when you don’t understand something and will listen to and consider your concerns.
All in all — the office staff is awful, the doctor is awful, and I am never coming back. Ever.

Incredible doctor. Had 4 wisdom teeth extracted with no problem. Follow through was incredible. Will recommend this office to all.

I was in need of getting 4 teeth pulled, 3 being my wisdom.
I pulled up on Unilocal pretty much the best oral surgeons you can get around the burbank area, Dr. Margossian and his office had popped up.
I was reading some reviews, found two terrible reviews that I had overlooked because it wasn’t about the doctor himself. More about the staff. Which didn’t concern me to much at first.
So then I had made an appointment with the office to just get a pano X-​ray, to see what really was going on with my mouth.
Doctor was very polite, and told me what I needed done.
I had scheduled my surgery to get 4 teeth extracted with the front desk receptionist, which was fine with me. (Funny because the receptionist had brought up the bad review on Unilocal and asked me if I saw, I said yes, but had paid no mind… which I should’ve)
Several days later, I had called the office at about 4:45pm asking for them to send me MY PANO of MY MOUTH that I had paid for. The receptionist continued to ask unnecessary questions regarding what I would be doing with MY OWN X-​ray.
I felt as if she didn’t care about the doctors clients. Definitely didn’t feel comfortable enough to fall through with the surgery.

I then had arrangements for another doctor to extract my teeth.
After my missed appointment, I got a call from Patty, the office manager, and she explained the situation to me. I definitely appreciated her call and I felt reassured why I was unable to obtain my X-​ray at that moment.
Overall, my experience wasn’t how I would want it to go. But the doctor was very educated and I know he knew what he was doing.
If things were explained to me a bit more, I would have gone through with the surgery.

Dr. Margossian is friendly, nice and extremely professional. He removed two of my wisdom teeth just a few weeks ago. When I still had some trouble with one his office staff brought me back in immediately and Dr. Margossian took care of the issue with no problem. Everyone in his office was very friendly and made me feel safe. I will definitely go back.

I was referred to Dr. Margossian by my ENT as my wisdom teeth were causing problems with my sinuses. I was very apprehensive, nervous, scared as you can imagine… but Dr. Margossian and his staff put me at ease immediately. Every single person who works there was so kind to me. They treated me like family. They were extremely prompt about getting me in to see him, which I really appreciated. Dr. Margossian himself has a very calm and caring demeanor. He made me feel very comfortable. I ended up having two surgeries– both were put through my medical insurance, which I also really appreciated. All in all, I would not hesitate to refer my friends and family to Dr. Margossian. He and his staff were professional, caring, and easy to contact and work with.

An acquaintance of mine recently asked about wisdom teeth removal and I recommended Dr. Margossian to do the job. I also realized that I never wrote a proper review for Dr. M after so many years, so I’m doing it now.
A few years ago, I woke up to an incredibly painful infection in my wisdom tooth that made it painful to open my mouth to speak. I made tons of calls for an emergency appointment and I was able to make an emergency same-​day appointment with Dr. Margossian for some x-​rays and a consultation. Dr. Margossian’s staff were kind and pleasant. And Dr. Margossian was very patient in explaining the procedure to remove my wisdom teeth when I told him that I was incredibly fearful of any and all dental work.
After seeing the infection of my tooth during consult, Dr. Margossian decided he needed to extract all four of my wisdom teeth ASAP to keep the infection from spreading. Needless to say I was panicked and scared. I was (thankfully) put under for my procedure which took about 45 minutes. Dr. Margossian made sure that someone arrived to pick me up following my procedure and even called my husband himself.
When I say I had no pain after the procedure, I mean I had ZERO pain afterwards. Dr. Margossian did such a fantastic job that I didn’t use a single pain pill. I have very sensitive teeth and gums but I was able to eat regularly after a two days! The follow-​up appointment on my stitches were done within a week and again Dr. Margossian was very patient in answering my questions and concerns.
I like to brag that I got the Cadillac of wisdom teeth removal because of the great care I got from Dr. M and his staff. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!

I went to Dr. Margosian for double jaw surgery. My goodness was that the right decision. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. When I first met Dr. Margosian I was in my teen years and he was very comforting. The wait to see him was quite long but it was completely worth it. He walked me though the surgery process and after my surgery he and one of the ladies at reception gave my parents their personal cell phone numbers in case they had questions. And they frequently called to check up on me. Choosing Dr. Margosian was the best decision I’ve made, there is no one I would have trusted more.

Fantastic… thanks to fellow Unilocalers I found Dr. Margossian! The truth: I have a fear of dentists. After putting off removing all 4 wisdom teeth for years, I finally did it. I have over crowding in my mouth resulting in crooked teeth, a cavity in one or more of my wisdom teeth and intermittent pain. IV sedation was a breeze… I didn’t remember a thing either! I was out in 1 – 1.5 hours start to finish. The staff is very nice too.
I paid out of pocket, so price was very fair, especially as compared to at least one other oral surgeon in the area with 5 star Unilocal reviews.

I had my first and only wisdom teeth ever pulled out by this oral surgeon and he was recommended by my dentist. The office was easy to speak with and my consultation although as brief as it was he was very clear in everything I had to be aware of. I was asleep for the procedure and within an hour or so I was awake and good to go. I had minor bleeding which was normal but the staff was incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend this office for a wisdom tooth procedure.

I came in for a simple wisdom tooth extraction. Let me tell you Dr. Margossian is not only fast, but very efficient. Since my wisdom teeth were not impacted, I was in and out in less than 25 minutes. I can tell you I went under local anesthesia and even though the shots of Lidocaine was painful the extraction part was painless.
He’s incredibly thorough and will tell you exactly how the procedure will go. He will prescribe you decent pain medication and he follows up with you to see how you are.
I highly recommend him to anyone.

I had a longer than average wait time but the office staff including the Dr. went out of their way to accommodate my needs.
