Santoro’s Submarine Sandwiches has continually been voted the #1 sandwich provider in Los Angeles, since it was established in 1956. Santoro’s has continued to provided a high quality product in the form of freshly baked bread, top quality meats, freshly diced vegetables, and our special blend of spices and oil since opening over 55 years ago. This method of preparing submarine sandwiches has been affectionately dubbed the ‘Santoro Way.’ Whether it’s a meal on the go, or a catered event, Santoro’s provides high-​quality, efficient, and cost effective options for every customer.

History

Established in 1956.

In 1956, Mr. Santoro was one of five brothers running a sub shop in Massachusetts. Looking for better weather, he sold his shop to his brothers and moved to California. Settling in Burbank, he realized an opportunity to open a sub shop next to then, the largest employer in the area, Lockhead. In 1971, he sold his shop to his son. Santoro’s was sold to the current owner Salvatore Palilla in 1996.

Since 1956, Santoro’s has continued to offer the very best in meats, cheeses, breads, and condiments. We love the community of Burbank and continue to support local schools and events in Burbank.
