This was a terrible experience in Burbank. This Asian woman shop owner was extremely rude! I have elderly parents and we were parked in her handicapped zone. I was trying to get my handicapped father out of the car so we can get something to eat, when this woman began to tell us to move my car. She became very insistent and told me that she was going to call the police on us if we didn’t move. After a while, things got very heated. My mom and dad(who is on oxygen) were so terrified and bothered by this woman that we had to leave.

This place is awesome !!! It’s everything you realistically want … the kid learns respect, disaplin, and has fun and I mean foreal it’s the best they teach them shoulin for 1 hr and a half honestly tell me what karate place teaches your son for 1 hr in a half and any day M-F. when they get out. tired… hungry …relaxed . mission complete. Master zaven is the best really nice guy takes his time on his teachings. Actually interacts with them, understands that they are kids as well I honestly without a doubt am happy with the monthly fee I am sure it beats anything what your paying. WELLWORTHIT!!!

I’m a proud mother of a young son. I grew up respecting and studying martial arts and wanted to continue a family tradition. I looked around and even had my son try a class. However the idea and actually visiting a dojo was way too intimidating and my son wanted nothing to do with it. I was refereed to Shaolin Tae Kwon Do, by a family friend who had sent her son and was taught by Master Zaven 20 years ago. One day I went there to pick up a brochure, before I knew it they had invited my son to join. After much protest and fear, they had my son laughing and excited to join. They have such patience and experience with working with children with various personalities and needs such as A.D.D. After the first week of karate, my son stood up for a child who was being bulling at school,(with non violence). I was proud of my son who had the courage and the confidence to stand up for another child. Before Karate my son, was shy and easy going to a fault. The kids who attend are great too. My son was thrilled when a couple of his karate classmates saw him on school campus and said hi to him. The other fellow karate moms are also very friendly. I’m glad we have that friendly unity. It’s nice to know they have a sense of community outside the dojo. My son now has matured to a confident outspoken child. We have more to work on with his new found confidence ;P However I’m thrilled to see my son grow into the young man he will become one day. My son is still young and I’m looking forward for him to have Master Zaven and his sons, teaching him tae kwon do but most important how to be a strong responsible young man who believes in himself. Master Zaven is a very caring dedicated master teacher with more patience then I have ever seen. And I’m a Early Child Care Educator :) If your not sure if tae kwon do is for your child, just do what I did. Just drive them there push him through the door and let Master Zevan and the other Masters do what they do best. I assure you, you won’t regret it and you will be pleasantly surprise in the changes in your child.

This place is great, master zaven and his 2 boys have had this studio open for the past 35 years. They’ve taught 100’s of students which have grown up abd brought even their children back to him. Definitely check him and his 2 dibs out, theyre one of the kindest warm hearted people I’ve ever met
