Food is decent but very bland, the crowd is definitely more of a senior citizen feel, with that being said you can’t really go wrong everything is good just doesn’t have much flavor however the muffins are to die for!

I have been coming to this restaurant for several years now. My parents used to take me here when I was a baby and I have loved this place since. Their Cinnamon French Toast is to die for as well as their Buttermilk Pancakes(no. 7). Lunch and Dinner are also great here and I would recommend their Spaghetti if you come during those hours.

Possibly the worst food we’ve had in a long, long time. The fish platter and the chicken fried steak were clearly frozen food simply warmed up. Both were horrible. And for this, service was slow! Won’t ever go back.

I had the Tuna melt and it was nothing special. Steak fries were very good! I did notice a dodgey back bar that could be fun to visit one day.

I was a busboy here many years ago, so here’s my 2 cents: the hot turkey sandwich is the star here. Hands down. It is so damn good. In my opinion the monte carlo club sandwich kicks butt. Very tasty. Back in the day they served a double decker burger that looked and tasted like the bobs big boy classic. Dont know why they stopped serving it. That was good. The carrot cake was very good too. The omelets are very good. This place is good ol american coffee shop. I remember a star or two would come in from the near by burbank studios.

My friends and I came here for lunch. Nothing extraordinary. Diner food at about par. Parking lot is cramp and they don’t have enough staff for their occupancy. We waited to long on getting or bill. I don’t think we’ll be coming back here.

This place is very close to work, and I always drove by, somewhat curious. It looks so vintage, and sometimes vintage is fun. On a whim, decided to stop by with my boyfriend for dinner. I ordered the turkey dinner sandwich, which this place is supposed to be known for. Basically it’s turkey in between sliced bread, with mashed potatoes, and topped off with gravy. Interesting concept, but it actually tastes exactly as you think it would. It was not as ingenious of an invention as I had thought. Service was good, and food was good, but it was your regular diner experience. Also has a bar, but I didn’t try any of the drinks :(Should put that on my to do list. As other reviews have pointed out, most of the clientele are on the older side, but I’m not one to usually mind those things. I feel like they give a place character. If you’re in the mood for diner food and a nice old looking place, this place fits the bill.

I had a lunch meeting. They suggested this place. I don’t want to sound mean or snobbish– but this place is stuck in time like fifty years ago, and not In a good way. The food is a disaster– I looked around, none of the dishes served looked appetizing– and it felt like it was a convalescent home or a senior citizen hangout… there was no mix of clientele as far as age/most of the people much older– like it was a scene from Seinfeld visiting his parents in Florida! The table behind me had a conversation or complaint if you will, to the waitress — yes I couldn’t help but be a witness to– was regarding the price of 111 that it was one dollar more than 112 — and the waitress said she doesn’t price the items… It went on. Again, a scene from Seinfeld! The place is so not nice… The service pretty rude. Coffee was horrible. I didn’t know what to order, I went for the Cobb salad… It came within seconds– and it was so cold– so definitely prepped and refrigerated… It was bad. Maybe it is just me since others at the table woofed their soft foods… The place was packed! Go figure…

We had reservations at Tallyrand for Thanksgiving Day for a large group. I am glad we got there early, because they are very popular on the holidays. First, their staff is very friendly and very well organized for big groups, and busy holidays. I got the Thanksgiving Turkey dinner, which included a slice of pumpkin pie. I have eaten out on Thanksgiving often in the past few years, and this was the best restaurant dinner I have ordered on the holiday. Everyone who came to dinner in my group raved about the food. As we were leaving, there was a large line out the door. I am glad we made reservations for an earlier seating.

The pancakes are so very delicious! Don’t forget to order the potatoes too! They are also very good. Fried Chicken Diner-Excellent! Crispy battered chicken cooked to a golden brown color. Tasty juicy chicken. Service-Excellent. Drinks were always filled! Great menu recommendations. Great place for that hearty home cooked meal taste. Parking-Private lot. Street Parking available.

Every time I come here, the food is prepared PERFECTLY, and is good and tasty. Even inventive. Today I had pork chops and eggs, and the pork chops were tender, nicely seasoned and juicy(and thick — center cut), and the eggs were made just how I asked. But the best thing? Hitting the restroom downstairs and en route seeing all those good drinkers in the bar BEFORE noon! LOL

So I sorta liked Turkey. Well that was before I came here. OMG. The Turkey is sooooo great. Moist. Delicious. Yummy. The place is whistle clean. The servers know exactly what’s on the menu. Other things and TURKEY. PLEASE get the Tirkey. It’s off the platter, out of the Oven DELICIOUS OK, a couple of the waitress have been slightly acerbic but I’m not eating them. Turkey … Lol. It’s YUMMY I suggest the Turkey.

Love the friendly and familiar feel of this place. So far it’s been only breakfast and it’s very good. Pancakes are definitely a winner so soft and fluffy. Portions are generous not too overwhelming. There’s a small onsite parking lot that fills up fast but street parking nearby. Lots of regular customers here and I can see why.

We’re regulars and starting to see cracks in their system. You just don’t find this kind of restaurant quality food anymore. Remember; time is the most important ingredient in good food preparation. Especially scratch cooked food. Hold that thought at the Tallyrand. Servers are really busy too. Every employee is body in motion, as it should be no one standing around idle. But, they never check back after you are served. So it’ll be a bit longer but much better than Dennys or Applebees, and light years ahead of that awful Lancers. Friendly service but much more friendly if they know you or the owners are present. An off shift employee was drinking in the bar and way to drunk and way over served. He thought it’d be cool to start shooting customers he didn’t know in the head with a super soak squirt gun. It angered a few customer and fists almost flew. It got real ugly real quick. We always ask for the famous Mango Margarita but they never have the ingredients on hand to make it. But we keep trying. Bengie the bartender is fantastic and makes you feel welcome if you’re new or a long time regular. The other male bartenders are neglecting and speak little English and you’ll be ignored. Tips appreciated. We love the place and tip generously in spite of the invisible servers and bartenders.

I had to do it, y’all. When any brunch place in LA can claim they have been open for 50+ years in the same location — my jaw DROPS.(You know they’re getting rid of the House of Blues this year to make way for high rises?)(Care to argue that Burbank is not LA? Shut your face.) The history of Tallyrand is the following: in 1959 a married couple opened a coffee shop on Olive on a $ 5,000 investment. Today, that coffee shop has expanded to a large 3-room restaurant, a lunch counter, a dedicated parking lot, a large patio for outdoor seating(dogs are welcome) and of course a full menu with a full bar. The original owners’ kids run the joint and are clearly doing their parents proud. All brunch prices are reasonable circa 2008, meaning by 2015 you’re feeling good about your $ 6 breakfast! I split an order of the pancakes and the Popeye breakfast burrito. Our hyper waitress barely made us wait for the food, she blitzed around that restaurant like the roadrunner delivering plates and filling coffee mugs. My New Years resolution was to get off coffee so I’ve become one of those pretentious tea drinkers, needing a whole army to serve a carafe of hot water, a lemon, a honey packet, an assortment of tea bags, etc. Nevertheless my tea cup overfloweth with the prompt delivery and all around affordable deliciousness at Tallyrand. And those southern accents made this little southern peach’s heart swell with pride. Come at lunch, and ask for the Huell Howser special(turkey sandwich smothered in cheese). But avoid days his show gets rerun on TV, it’ll get crowded in there.

The Service: SUPER attentive! Love my server~ constantly checking on me and making sure I am doing ok. Seriously… the food is served in less than 5 minutes! Two thumbs up to the kitchen staffs~ The Food: Monte Carlo Clubhouse — Stacks of ham, turkey, tomato and lettuce served with a small green salad & french fries on the side. The sandwich is BIG, lots of meat! Love the french fries, super hot… totally make to order. So crispy outside and soft inside. Not the shoestring type of french fries… the steak french fries size! $ 9.95 is very reasonable price. Big sandwich with french fries and small green salad. The Parking: Private parking lot(free)

For being an old school diner with no frills just straight up comfort food, it hit the spot! They got all the classics you could think of and the prices are fair. My mom got a burger and it was pretty big and juicy. I ordered their signature hot turkey sandwich, which was very good; only problem was that it got cold super fast. Not very appetizing to eat cold gravy :/ The service was good and very friendly. They even bake their own pies!!! Want to come back to try their pancakes :)
