Wear It Once – Wear it Twice

I loved this store when my kids were small. They have a great variety of everything. The only thing I am frustrated with is making appointments, though they do give you generous amounts for your used stuff… much higher than similar stores. I do wish they had walk in for cash. When your schedule is as crazy as mine, it is hard to make an appointment only on a specific day of the month. If that issue were improved, I would be happy. Otherwise, I love this store and the people that work there. Aura, you and your staff are super friendly, and do a great job!

Quality clothes. No smell. Consignment. Valuable especially for young children. Organized well and easy to find specifics you may be looking for. Also have baby equipment.

Great place to buy kid’s clothes and things. Items are a little overpriced, for $ 1-​$ 2 more (for most of the girl’s clothes), I can buy brand new at Target. However, I do like supporting small businesses so I shop here fairly regularly. The store is small but clean and well kept. The staff is nice.

Love this store. Each consignment store in the town has its own personality and this store is not different. They have a number of high quality items and I am always able to find really cute items for my children. I enjoy dressing my son in a clean-​cut casual style which include items like golf caps, kakis, polo shirts, etc. and I am able to find nice (sometimes new) clothing here. The prices are sometime a bit higher than I think they may need to be and the lady that buys does not always seem welcoming. This is compensated by the young lady in the front who works on the floor. I am not sure of her name but she is simply amazingly sweet and sincere. They even have very trendy and cute shoes. This is a wonderful place to get trendy clothing for a good price.

Great stuff great prices the people are very friendly. They have cool stuff for kids.

Just noticed that my review for this place was deleted. They must’ve paid Unilocal off to delete most of the negative reviews. C’mon Unilocal you know it’s true.
Anyway… like I said before and i’ll say it again, this place blows. When my loveable yet super needy pain in my ass grandbaby was tiny i walked in here looking for something cool and inexpensive. The joint was super messy and disorganized, if I wanted that I wouldve taken my ass to Ross or DD’s Discount. The place also had a weird smell, musty and mildewy. Oh and their shit was overpriced. It’s USED baby clothes, but they mark it up as if you were in fucking Babies R Us or someshit.
So in closing… i’m all for supporting small businesses, that’s why I hit local bars, but for this kind of stuff hit Kmart or Target. Cheaper, new, and no musty ass smell.
Oh and if you’re really intent on buying used shit for your kid, hit Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Sounds ghetto or whatever, but it’s the same as this place except cheaper.
P. S. Let me get this straight… if you want to trade, sell or give away your old baby clothes you need to make an appointment? That is the most ridiculous, arrogant shit I have ever heard. You need to make an appointment to give a store free shit that they’re going to make money off of, AND the general consensus is that whether you bring in a million dollars worth of clothes and toys or a hundred bucks worth they only offer you $ 20 bucks cash or $ 30 bucks store credit. Crazy.

Secondhand is the way to go! If huge thrift stores overwhelm you, this spot is the place to go in Burbank for used kids’ clothes and a small selection of toys. I wish they would renovate, though — some new flooring and a little décor, plus a small area for the kids to play or something, would go a long way toward making this a trip you look forward to instead of an errand. (For reference see Mia and the Dragonfly on Magnolia Blvd — it is a much more inviting space.)

This place has a fair selection but is crowded, a bit dirty and over priced for a second hand store.

I love this store every time I go to shop for my baby brother. I end up leaving with bags, and bags full of goodies. Prices are reasonable, especially because baby clothes is so ridiculously inflated at stores. This store allows me to spend 200, bux on tons of clothes opposed to about some clothes and toys from stores. All in all I love this store, and if you want to save a lot of your hard earned money. This is the place to go : —)
And as a plus the people that work there are amazing… great customer service… I’m actually planning on going into the store today. Excited about what finds ill see today.!!

WiOWiT is a great second hand kid’s store! It’s mostly clothing, but they also sell strollers, toys, changing tables, cribs, costumes, etc. I’ve found everything to be extremely reasonably priced. T-​shirts run between $ 1 and $ 4. Shorts are $ 3 — $ 5. And the clothing is always clean, sometimes brand new or never been worn. Those items may carry a slighty higher price tag. But still, a great deal. And to those saying it’s almost as much as Wal-​Mart and Target… on what planet? No!
When my first was born, I bought two different styles of slings to try out and I paid about $ 25 for both. It’s so much better than paying top dollar for an item that may not even work out. And with newbies, this could be just about anything. I didn’t buy a baby Bjorn from them, but I’ve noticed they always seem to have a few. They range from $ 19 — $ 30.
The sling I ended up using in almost as much as my ergo, which I paid top dollar for ($ 100) is a Baby Balboa. It is totally cute and convenient. I’ve used it for two of my kids already and hopefully a third! It cost a mere $ 16 at WiOWiT. I also purchased a never been opened, in the box, Summer mini sleeper for $ 25. I used it for a whole year. Awesome deal!
The lady who works in the front is really a sweatheart and very helpful. I only ever had one issue. I was looking for a Bumbo chair (don’t worry I know how to use them and my brain at the same time) and wanted one with a tray. I picked it up and asked if I could swap it out for the color I wanted if they got one in over the next couple of days and I was told no. I would have to sell it back for less and then buy it again for more money. I really didn’t like that. And I don’t think it shows good customer appreciation.
Despite that, I continue to go back because their merchandise quality and overall selection is far better than the oher stores I’ve seen. To be honest, I’m too busy to run around to several different baby stores and luckily have only needed to buy a small number of things, so I don’t even bother shopping at other second hand shops. I know they’ll have what I need here.
I’ve never tried to sell anything to them, I donate all whatever I can to friends and friends of friends who are expecting. It seems like it takes a while to get an appointment to sell and I just would rather it be out of my space and off to someone in need rather than to make a few bucks in store credit. I don’t see why anyone would complain about their appointment scheduling. If you don’t like it, give it away! Everyone knows someone in need! Good God, Pay it forward in stead of bitching and moaning here. Seriously!

It is so hard to get in with this company. appointments are soooo far off. I made an appointment months ago. Could have sworn the told me sept. 12. They apparently said 2^nd. Now no appointments available for over another month. And what is interesting is I’ve experienced exactly what the other user mentioned. No one is ever there. Sometimes not even an employee! Prices are higher than I would have liked so I was trying to do some store credit but at this rate I’m just ready to drop my stuff off in a donation box and shop at another store.

Lucia at the front was extremely helpful, kind and patient. Left with a few outfits and cleats for my son!

Overpriced. Don’t shop there on Fridays– I’ve done that twice only to drive by on Sat. and see a 50% off sale. The first time that happened I went in and got something else on Sat. The owner recognized me from the day before but didn’t even offer to discount what I’d gotten… I get that it’s a small business, but CVS or other stores would.

Walked in. The store had just opened! No one was there! Empty! I could have walked out with multiple items! I just wanted to possible sell some of my kids clothes! After waiting! A woman told me that I needed an appointment! So I needed an appointment to sell my clothes to an empty store! Because!!! They were soooooo busy!!! Never will I go back again. Never will I recommend anyone to go back again! Good luck!!!

I have been selling and buying with them since they opened. Love this store small but everyone is so nice some prices are high but red tag sales are great.

This is one of my favorite stores. They have such cute, adorable clothing, shoes, toys etc. for little girls, AND little boys. The prices are wonderful and they are so friendly. I won’t shop anywhere else for my little girl.

This is a great consignment store. At first I thought the prices were a little steep for used baby things, but as I started to bring in my old things for store credit I saw what a great value it was. If you’re looking for a brand new toy or gift this probably isn’t the place for you, but if you’re a parent this is a great place to re-​visit again and again to exchange things that hardly get used for more things that will hardly get used because the window for small children to use them is so small.
I wish this store were a bit bigger. It can be tough to maneuver a stroller when there are more than three or four customers in the store. The staff is great for the most part. I’ve only had maybe one or two neutral experiences (i.e. no greeting or help). All in all a wonderful asset for a parent.

I am pregnant and saw this place while driving by. What a great find! Children’s items are insanely over priced and I didn’t want to go buy a bunch of stuff that I wasn’t even sure I would use.
I ended up finding a co-​sleeper that I had been wanting that was brand new and a few odds and ends that I needed and all of it was very inexpensive. The owner is very friendly as is everyone that works there. They are jam-​packed with items and it changes often so I can’t wait to go back and see what else is new. I have a feel I’ll be shopping here a lot soon!

I was really excited to see that Burbank opened up another consignment shop. I had previously been to «Bearly Used» and «Once Upon A Child».
I have to admit, I was disappointed. This little shop is SO packed full of stuff, that it is hard to get around… especially if you have a little one in a stroller. A plus, they have TONS of stuff… if you have the time to sort through everything. I personally didn’t find anything of any «quality».
I also went there once to look for a walker. They didn’t have one at that time, so she offered to take my number and call me if they received one, which I thought was nice… except it was 3 months later that she called me.
As far as turning your old stuff in… it’s by appointment only, which is kind of a bummer, and often when you ask them, they aren’t taking anything new. Which means ALL those almost new Gymboree outfits my 1 year old daughter has been wearing will now go to Ebay… which will probably make me more money anyway.
