Good quality chicken, nice assortment of vegetables in the yakisoba, good salad dressing and egg rolls and nice owners. They know me by name and know my order.

Service is terrible & the woman at the counter is rude. I will not be coming back. There’s way too many options around Burien to come back to this place.

I have eaten a lot of teriyaki, some good some bad. I took my wife and best friend here and now I wish that I hadn’t. Food was expensive and had added charges that didn’t really make sense to me. We ordered shrimp fried rice, beef yakasoba, general tso’s chicken, and Mongolian beef. The yakasoba was dry with very little meat witch was an extra 2 $, the fried rice was bland and wasn’t fried at all just steamed rice with carrots and peas added with a few shrimp, rice was clumpy and oily. The breading on the tso’s chicken was tough and clearly previously frozen. The Mongolian beef was fat and chewy lacking the onions and such that comes with this dish. The sauce was watery and very disappointing. The man that took our order was short, impatient and rude. All and all, I gave them one star because the food, customer service, and price tag sucks!

This place has the best spicy chicken teriyaki! I used to go here very often and they have great food and at the best price. The lady used to recognize me immediately and already knew what I was going to order, I really appreciated that. I would certainly go back here if I’m ever craving teriyaki in the Burien area.

Good reliable comfort food. It is a good value for the amount of food you get. I especially like their chicken katsu. It is crunchy and moist. I have been going to this place for a long time and I can say that it is one of the better places I know.

I work near here and my company has gotten group lunches here for years. We went today and spent $ 50. When we got back to the office all of the meat was mushy. very very mushy. Not edible. We called and said that the food was not edible and she asked specifically what was wrong with it. When we said the meat was weird and mushy she said«that is not a valid reason to return food.» Moral of the story: if you want to be able to go somewhere that cares about their customers don’t go here. Don’t waste your money or time on this poor excuse for a restaurant.

When it comes to Teriyaki, there are a lot of factors that I look for when visiting an establishment for my first time. I am a teriyaki connoisseur. The elements that I critique a teriyaki restaurant on are meat, cooking method, salad dressing, variety, overall appearance of the food and the restaurant and of course, the sauce! I’ll break it down. The meat needs to be fresh and tender. I’ve been to places where the meat is full of too much fat and grisle. That does not play well with teriyaki. The meat should be well seasoned and marinated and melt in your mouth with every little bite sized piece. This place did the chicken right. They also use dark meat chicken which is key. I don’t mind if a teriyaki place has white meat chicken but it better darn well be listed as an option on the menu. I do not like to be surprised with a chopped up dry chicken breast impersonating my would be delicious meal. A teriyaki chicken breast should be served whole like the salmon. This joint uses the correct cooking method as well. An open flame. Teriyaki is marinated in its own sauce and that sauce is chock full of delicious sugars that when cooked right, caramelize into a crunchy sweet glaze adding that something special to the flavor. My chicken was charred just right and tasted good. If the restaurant serves salad then I always look forward to the dressing. It’s a house made dressing based on mayo with other ingredients and when done right, it’s amazing. The dressing on my salad did not disappoint. What is disappointing however are teriyaki restaurants that only offer steamed or grilled veggies usually consisting of cabbage and carrots with their entrées. I prefer a salad or at least the option. The variety I look for is in the menu and this is a double edged sword. Some places have nearly everything I’m looking for. Some places have way more than I would ever want and some places have all the right stuff. This place has a great balanced selection. It’s teriyaki and wok because they offer Chinese dishes as well as Japanese. I really love a combo plate of teriyaki chicken and General Tso’s. I also like the option of fried gyoza or steamed and if a place offers fried gyoza and doesn’t have tempura, I get pretty bummed. If the restaurant in question has anything in the name or on the menu that isn’t Chinese or Japanese then it’s best not to even enter. You’ve seen the place. Teriyaki & Burger. Those places in my experience don’t do either type of food very well. Most teriyaki restaurants are just little hole in the wall places and this place follows suite so I never really expect the unique Asian experience but I do want a clean place to eat that isn’t sticky. This place was okay but could be cleaner. They don’t have a soda fountain so you have to buy cans or bottles but they do offer free hot tea which was really good and water. Another thing that was missing were chopsticks. I didn’t see any anywhere and I was not offered any. Also, the sauce that came with my tempura wasn’t enough. I could have asked for more and I’m sure they would have obliged but I feel that if you’re going to serve a dish that comes with its own dipping sauce, you should serve enough sauce for the entire dish. The reason I didn’t ask for more tempura sauce was simply because it wouldn’t have made the tempura any better. My advice at this restaurant is not to order it if it needs to be deep fried. The batter was really thick and was hard and chewy on the outside and raw and doughy on the inside. I couldn’t tell what most of the vegetables were until I bit into them and that’s because they slice up tiny pieces of the veggies and fry them. There’s more batter than vegetable for most of the dish. This place doesn’t do tempura well at all. Lastly, the teriyaki sauce. This place has a pretty good sauce. I like a thicker sauce that’s sweet but not too sweet. They got the not too sweet part right but their sauce could have a little more flavor. Maybe more garlic or ginger. No extra sauce was served with my entrée and they don’t have bottles of their teriyaki sauce on the table so I didn’t have any to pour over my rice like I would have liked but I made do with what was on the plate. Overall, out of 5 stars, I gave this place 3 because I would return but it wouldn’t be my first choice. As of now, it’s the best I’ve had in Burien but the only thing I have to compare it to is I Love Teriyaki just down the road a couple of blocks. To the reviewers who say that this is the best place in town, you may be right but it’s far from the best that I’ve had. If you’re looking at this review to decide whether or not you want to eat here them I recommend it. You shouldn’t be disappointed. Pro tip: they have a cart with bus tubs on it towards the front door. It’s for you to place your dishes and trash in after you’re done with your meal. Don’t leave your dishes on the table. Thanks for reading

Been going here for years, its my go-to teriyaki place in Seattle. I judge a teriyaki place based on their meat and salad dressing, and I have to say, they are fantastic

This teriyaki is definitely the best in town. Their chicken is charred so it’s not overcooked. I usually get mine with no sauce on the chicken because it tastes so clean without the sauce, and it doesn’t compromise flavor! Make sure you check them out!

Food, service and price is good. Chicken is nice and tender. Better than most teriyaki places that have dried out meat. Men’s bathroom is nasty. I hope the kitchen is cleaner.

Good presentation but spicy teriyaki was little salty and beef teriyaki was dry and season with black pepper.

It’s a pretty good value and quality for a good ol’ chicken teriyaki snack whilst waiting for your bus at the Burien Transit Center nearby. The owners are somewhat mellow but nice. It’s an ok space and the bathroom could be from Safeway in Rainier Beach. I wanted for here but he caught himself right away when he had it in a bag — no worries, thanks! Not bad, though! And you can sit at the window counter while eating and watch the Burien ppls walk by.

I love this Teriyaki shop in Burien. There’s a few choices within a few blocks but this one is my choice. They know our order when we walk in and give us free chips sometimes because we always tip them. The lunch chicken is normally what we get and it always fills me up and satifies my hunger!

I was in Burien with a friend who said he knew of a good teriyaki spot there. I told him lets go where we know and go to Renton, He assured me that he use to come here all the time so we went in to eat. I was surprised at how spacious and clean it was. He ordered the Chicken & Prawn, I ordered the Chicken & Katsu combo and we shared an order of Gyoza. My friend said the Chicken & Prawn combo was very good. I believed him since there was nothing left when he was done eating. The gyoza was pretty good. I didn’t care too much for the Katsu sauce that came with it. The Katsu looked a little burnt but didn’t taste that way. I was very surprised at how good the Chicken & Katsu combo was and the Katsu didn’t even need any sauce. It was a large portioned sized combo. So you do get your money’s worth.

Been coming here for years. Good Food, Good Prices, Hectic Parking lot. The people working here are very nice and helpful. The food comes in good size portions and is better then most normal teriyaki places. Overall this place is a must try if you love Teriyaki. Their Chinese dishes are also pretty good.

Aahhh, Teriyaki Wok. Yes your name makes snobby people wring their hands and hyperventilate at the prospect of paper napkins but I love you. For almost four years I’ve been coming here and it’s always been good. They have a little tea kettle thing, a little water jug thing and if you’d into it– like most Teriyaki places they have a Christian Business directory phone book for Washington. Has anyone noticed Teriyaki places are almost exclusively operated by Christian Japanese people? Maybe I’m the only one who looks at the little pamphlet station. Anyway it’s hot, its quick, it’s consistent. MUCH better than Toshi’s in Westwood village. The Bathroom is ALWAYS clean and it’s quite a welcome departure from«chain sit down» places. It’s a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. I love it here.
