The UPS Store

The convenience due to where we live is great but the staff in here is super helpful. I have bee to other UPS stores and staff makes all the difference. They are fast, friendly and they tell you which service is cheapest. I have come in unprepared– my package was halfway wrapped and packed and they are so helpful. Not trying to upsell you expensive packing supplies either. Customer Service is key in the world of retail and service and this little store gets it. Thanks for being great and keep up the excellent customer service.

I had a very good experience here and I will be coming back for sure. I had to send a DHL package, and that’s not always smooth or easy. I went to Fairfax UPS and they gave me insanely high price with little alternatives. So I decided to try this store. Luckily, a young guy here was awesome at his job! He saved me 40 dollars and did the whole thing very fast. There’s nothing I love more than people who are good at what they do!

Dominick was extremely helpful and professional, as he helped me package and ship something. He explained al the options, the time tables, and made sure I insured the item. He double checked all the information and was very thorough. Very happy with my experience at the ups store.

I have been coming here for years (I mean when it used to be another mailbox place!) I’ve had a mailbox here for 8 – 9 years and I am always greeted with a smile and they help with whatever I need. A few times I’ve received perishable items and if they haven’t seen me in s few days, they will call me so that I know something needs to be picked up in a timely manner.
They always help me take packages to the car and I’ve sent faxes and heed the notary service before too. They do get super busy during the holidays (that mail place doesn’t!) patience is a virtue lost on many.

The staff is very helpful and courteous. I have been a client for a number of years and quite often I have the need to call in to check my box. This saves me a trip if there is nothing requiring immediate attention. At no point, even when there is staff turnover, have I ever gotten the impression that they were annoyed by the frequent requests.

I needed to get a Notary signature and package shipped. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This is my go to place for shipping.

First, I had to wait until the man stopped talking with his buddy in the back of the store. When he finally decided to help, he said my envelope was too large to ship USPS, which is wrong because I shipped the same type of package at the post office last week for $ 3.50. This guy wanted to charge me $ 15 for UPS. What a rip off. Poor customer service and no integrity.
Update — shipped package at Office Depot USPS for $ 3.50.

Not sure if I had that «one lady» but the lady who assisted me was pleasant and helpful. There was no wait at all and took care of business in 5 minutes. The package was delivered on time as promised. I would stop by and use their services again.

Used this store three times, never had an issue, usually good and kind service at the front desk. Inside did always look a bit messy or chaotic. Nothing exceptional to mention and nothing bad… average review.

This is my neighborhood UPS Store that I’ve been to a number of times over the years.
It’s never too busy. The employees are professional and courteous. I’ve never had any sort of issue. However, I must admit, I am usually dropping off packages with prepaid labels.

I needed a document notarized so I went there since it’s close. I was pleasantly surprised. The notary was a very nice older woman. I was in and out of there in 3 minutes. My only issue is that it cost $ 5! One piece of paper! Anyway, I would rate their customer service as a 5 but pricey.

It’s not the mere fact that my package was lost (I completely understand these things happen and it was not the fault of anyone at the Burke UPS location) – but the way the issue was resolved was a bad experience. The tone of the person I spoke with was that of annoyance and sometimes I even heard comments in the background (like «yea, it’s her…») which furthered my suspicion that I was viewed by the lady as being a pest.
And regarding the refund. I paid for a service expecting my package to arrive in less than a week but instead it arrived 1 month later. Why does UPS charge a premium for faster shipping if, when the package is significantly late, the company will just just fall back on the excuse, «Well you got it, didn’t you?» and just give you $ 20… after a month of thinking that my package was lost and not knowing if it’ll ever arrive, I already began replacing the things I needed from my shipment. This is more of a beef w/​the UPS policy and has nothing to do with the Burke store. The 1 star stands just stands for poor customer service.

Where are negative stars when you need them? I had two packages which were being mailed to local customers and would have been better off delivering them myself…
I own a handcrafted beauty/​bath business and was shipping items to customers in Falls Church and Catharpin, VA from Burke. If one were to Google Map these locations, they would find they are thisclose. Somehow these simple shipments involved rocket science and fuckery.
The first package was ultimately delivered, but my receipt reflected a shipment to Willow Grove, PA. How do you print a transaction, have me sign a form to acknowledge the correct address and then provide me with a printed receipt with an incorrect tracking number?
The second package is the one that boggles the mind…
Catharpin is in VIRGINIA. I shipped the package from Burke VIRGINIA. Why is it that my package went on a tour of Laurel and Baltimore MARYLAND? Further, the package was returned damaged and my damage claim denied, despite having purchased all packaging materials from the store itself. As I read the transaction history online, it was clear to me that UPS is staffed by the mentally challenged. Where are Wal Mart greeters when you need them?
When I called to address my concerns with the store, the useless associate who answered said «the manager is outside and will be back in 5 minutes». Outside doing what? Upon speaking with Meredith, it became immediately clear that the ability to know how to tie ones own shoelaces is the criteria for management.
