History

Established in 1960.

This business owned by Dr. Misty Jordan. She took ownership of the business from Dr. Harold Putnam, who started the business in 1960, after Dr. Putnam retired. Today, Burleson Equine Hospital serves the south Fort Worth area as an ambulatory practice as well as a full service equine hospital capable of providing your horse with all if its medical needs.

Dr. Misty Jordan became involved in the equine industry at a young age. Dr. Jordan graduated from Texas A&M University, cum laude, with a B.S. in Microbiology in 2000. In 2002, she received her M.S. in Veterinary Microbiology from TAMU. Dr. Jordan continued her education at TAMU College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her DVM degree in 2006. After graduation, she completed a surgical internship at Weatherford Equine Medical Center in Weatherford, TX. Dr. Jordan has been an associate at Burleson Equine Hospital since 2007 and purchased the practice in 2011. She is constantly evolving and upgrading the practice, which now offers state of the art medicine and surgery to clients and referring veterinarians. Dr. Jordan’s professional interests include diagnostic imaging, lameness exams, internal medicine, neonatology, and pre-​purchase exams. Dr. Jordan is an active member of the AAEP, AVMA, and the TVMA.
