Broadway Taxi Cab

I used to use lyft and I’m not using anymore because some lyft driver First time I call this company and I make my reserve to airport in the morning and drive was on time and he’s very friendly and nice person I will use him again because some Lyft driver rude and don’t know where they go look like Broadway cab having long experience that’s why I’m giving 5 star I wish I can give them 10 star thanks Broadway cab doing your busses very nice job.

This started off as a nice ride in a clean car with a courteous driver, as others have reviewed. But things turned nasty when I tried to pay with a credit card, and was told that there was a $ 20 minimum charge when using a credit card. The fare was $ 10.90. I said that I didn’t have cash, and was told to go get some from the ATM machine in my hotel. I was on a work trip and the company policy is to use the credit card for expenses, so I explained this politely to the driver and asked him to charge the $ 10.90 to the card. He insisted on the $ 20 minimum and I said «no, you didn’t state there was a minimum charge at the beginning of the trip and there isn’t a sign stating this either». And I told him truthfully that I had made the same taxi cab trip the day before with a different company and didn’t have this problem. Then the interaction went south with him saying I should’ve said I was using a credit card (really? I’ve never had to do that before) and kept on saying in a threatening voice «well, what do you want me to do?». I kept asking for him to charge the $ 10.90 to my card, He asked what I would do if he didn’t. I replied that I would get out of the cab and leave. I was so shocked by his demeanor — had never experienced this aggression from a cab driver before. He then snatched my card, ran it through his smart phone with one of those «Square» devices and handed it to me to put in my email for the receipt to be sent. I did this and asked how much had he charged as I didn’t see him do that step. He snapped at me to «check my email», and I asked (still politely) for him to please tell me because I couldn’t check my email right then. He kept snapping at me to check my email, and when I finally said «did you charge me $ 20?», he shouted «get out of my cab!!!». I had opened the door during this altercation as I was getting a little nervous and wanted people outside the hotel to hear this guy. So I got out, he swore at me, called me names and sped away… and all I managed was one tiny lousy f-​bomb in response.
Honestly, I was shaking and teary after this interaction… please never use this company, even if the car is nice and clean.
Oh, and I never got the emailed receipt… except I got a warning that my email account had suspicious activity on it, and somebody had tried to access it… don’t think this was a coincidence.

When I urgently need a cab and called them last minute, they showed up very quickly, faster than they promised.

This place is horrible. I think the other two reviews are fake.
They were rude on the phone. Did not understand my basic request for a ride to the SFO from Burlingame. They took my CC number over the phone, then when I was trying to understand what time they’ll show up, the guy on the phone got annoyed and hung up on me.
I called back and again he seemed too impatient to answer my questions and finally said to call someone else. That’s what I did.
I would not recommend them at all!

Excellent driver. Very smooth, safe and enjoyable taxi ride. Clean cab. I went to the city a couple of times and he gave me a good discounted rate. Very friendly driver. Reliable, he was always on time. By far the best taxi company I’ve had service from, just so seamless. Actually he took me home a couple times when I was a bit intoxicated, didn’t bother asking where I was going. Let me pay the day after. John is my favorite driver. I highly recommend Broadway Taxi Cab.
