Michael did a great job matching the stucco on our old Burlingame Craftsman. He was able to schedule me three times so I could get other work done. His crew was knowledgeable and efficient. Don’t hesitate to call for an estimate.

Very happy with the work these guys did for me recently.
Called to get a quote. Mike called me back within 24 hours to schedule an estimate. He showed up on time (actually he arrived a little early and called to make sure it was okay to ring my doorbell).
They did a very nice job and completed it pretty quickly. The price seemed a little high, but I needed this completed quickly and did not have time to get a competing estimate (someone else gave me a rough estimate but I was not confident in it since he was not going to do the work). I am very happy with the quality and would definitely consider this company again for a future project.

Mike was awesome! Called to get a quote, said he was nearby and could be over in 10 minutes which worked perfect for me. Gave me his honest opinion and checked out several problems we were having. Seemed very knowledgeable about the lath and plaster in our home, as well the age and issues. When it’s time to have our repairs done, Mike’s got my business!

Mike came out and saved me $ 10,000. The cracks along my foundation didn’t need to be busted out and restuccoed. He said to caulk and paint them. He made it very simple for us. Thanks, Mike!

After reading other reviews on this company and seeing some great reviews and others stating that the customer service was bad, I opted to call them. I spoke with Mike explaining that I had a large stucco job (entire side of house) that I wanted an estimate on. Mike was very rude and dismissed my request. He simply stated that I would need to get another company to remove the stucco and they would then apply the stucco. (Honestly, what sense does that make to hire two companies for one stucco job). If this is the customer service that he and this company provide, then I am glad not to do business with them.

I tried to get these folks out to get a quote. Talked to someone there, got it on schedule and they did say they have a 30 minute window.
The guy shows up 5 minutes late, tries to knock but its a construction site so theres alot of noise going on. He walks around the house a bit, walks past 3 of my contractors workers and doesnt say a dam thing. Then he walks off the job.

I called the company back and no return call to them. Really? Wheres the common sense here?

Wasn’t sure how to star this as never got to use their services. Instead when called the estimator Mike I got a very lukewarm reply: «it’s the holidays, we’re really busy and not taking any new jobs til we get through the ones we have.»
That’s fair. Honest. And it’s great they are busy. But why not ask if he could schedule me in when they freed up? He would have hung up then but I asked if he had anyone he could recommend. To be fair, Mike did call me back with a name and number, but I called it and it just rang and rang.
There’s a market for talented stucco and plaster craftsman. Maybe BPS could bring on some more talent. Meantime, I’m on the hunt for someone to do the job.

A job well done for us! We needed a stucco repair for a few months but hadn’t done it and yikes… rain was in the forecast! Michael fit me in the next day. Great price and even emailed me a bill. how easy! Highly recommend!

I just used Burlingame Plaster to patch up some holes in my lath and plaster 1937 home. We have a very unique texture both inside and out that is not easy to match and they did a wonderful job! Now painted, you’d never know there were patches.
He came out, gave me a reasonable estimate, and the job was done that afternoon.
I would use them again– and I highly recommend.

Burlingame Plastering did some work on our house in conjunction with a new roof we had put on. We couldn’t be more pleased with the work. My husband is a retired contractor and is exceptionally fussy. The stucco work that Burlingame did was great, even the building inspector remarked how excellent the work was, with no rough edges, definitely in keeping with the original 75+ year old stucco. Very pleased, we consider ourselves very lucky to come across craftsmen like this.

Although I’m an ardent DYS’r the idea of Stucco repair did not appeal to me and it should not for you, either. I replaced four windows and an electrical service panel during my home remodel and this required demo of the original stucco (c. 1940’s). I always search Unilocal for feedback and Burlingame Plastering & Stucco stood out from the rest.
Michael was able to arrive on-​site the day after I contacted him and provided a quote, with warranty, the same day. Although the quote was higher than expected we were able to work out a reasonable price for the job.
The very next day the job was started and finished with great results. I was pleasantly surprised when his team suggested a few small patching sites that were not included in the original scope and completed them within our terms. The stucco looks great and I’m on time for the exterior paint crew this coming week.

We got two bids on an exterior stucco job to replace some old dry-​rotted wood siding. Michael’s was the lower bid, but his also came with the clearer project plan. He laid out exactly what he would do, step-​by-​step.
Throughout the job, we were able to coordinate things largely by phone and email, which was super convenient for me.
A few issues came up along the way where we asked him if he could take care of some things that fell slightly outside of strictly stucco work but impacted it — some flashing here and there for example. Our upstairs neighbors also asked him if he could fix some nail pops inside their unit — some collateral damage from Michael’s crew’s hammering. Michael was sort of elusive in his responses to these requests, which was a little challenging. But in the end he went ahead and had his crew do the extra work, and then some.
We’re happy with the final result, and I would definitely recommend Burlingame Plastering & Stucco.

We recently purchased a home built in 1949 in Castro Valley. We discovered a leak during this past rainy season and after some investigation found that the source of the leak coming from the exterior stucco wall. We contacted Mr. Butler and he was over to our house the very next morning to do an inspection. He told us exactly how much of the wall we would need to cut out and replace, quoted us a price that was extremenly reasonable (compared to his competition) and completed the job within 72 hours of our first conversation. The wall looks great. The leak is sealed and we could not be happier! I will reccommend him to any and all friends and family that may ever need his services. Thanks again Michael!

Michael Butler of Burlingame Plastering and Stucco repaired some small cracks in the exterior stucco of our house. Our appointment was to look at the job and provide a bid, but he came prepared with tools and materials so he repaired the cracks on the same visit. His price for the job was reasonable and we are happy with the outcome of the work as his texturing matched the existing stucco perfectly. He was professional, responsible, prompt, and honest. I had a small but not easy plastering job. I have an adobe house and so working on it requires something more than the standard set of skills. Michael put in the effort to see that it was done right. There are not many real plasterers out there but he is one of them. The price, while not a bargain, was fair.
I plan use him in the future.

We got three bids on a small plastering job to repair some damaged area of a wall. Burlingame Plastering and Stucco was the most professional bid at a reasonable price: they told us a reasonable cost, explained how long the job would take, and most importantly, they told us what to expect: Length of time the plaster would need to cure before we should paint it (and what would happen if we painted too soon), whether there would be a smell, and so forth.
The job was done exactly at the date and time they said, and they did a great job. We appreciated that they also noted issues that they ran into during the plastering job: areas where we may have some moisture coming in from the outside. None of these affected the price or completion of the work. I’d definitely use them again.
