While in the end I didn’t choose DWD I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Yurek was knowledgable & quite patient with all my uncertainties & questions as how to proceed with fixing 2 leaky windows with new construction & replacing 3 others. I had been told many things re Egress which caused a lot of confusion on my part. This didn’t get sorted out until I went into the City Planning Dept, & even then I was initially given the wrong info. Consequently I had to change what was needed several times, I don’t blame anyone for loosing patience. Yurek didn’t, & was quick to respond to both email & phone calls. His bid was quite competitive & he was willing to address all my concerns. In the end I chose someone closer to where I lived, who initially was more familiar with my cities building codes. It is only because of the confusion re the Building Codes that I am giving 4 stars.

We worked with Yanek and his team for a pretty big project, our entire house 20+ windows with ugly aluminum frames from the 50’s. We have a newborn so we were worried about all the dust and debris around the project. A few windows were a little too high so the walls had to be cut lower to meet egress requirements. Yanek and his time were very timely, considerate and flexible which windows to do first (we wanted the nursery first because of the baby). They provided really competitive quotes. We got the Amerimax windows but they were willing to do whatever we wanted but gave us the benefit of their experience with the different companies. They cleaned up well every day (it took several days to finish) so I was never worried about the mess and so far, their work looks and has held up over the last few months. They easily passed home inspection in El Cerrito. I would definitely hire them again.

I got to know Deluxe Window through Unilocal.I installed 17 windows and doors through them. Very professional work. Very nice people to work with, especially their technician who installed the windows and doors. I highly recommend this company and I would use them again. In fact, I even used the painter they referred after installation to paint the exterior and interior. Very good work and very honest price as Deluxe Windows.

Deluxe Windows replaced our bathroom windows and a sliding patio door and we had a very good experience working with them. Their prices beat competitors, quality of their windows and door products and installation was great, everyone we had to interact with was very professional and courteous. Very good price and professional work. I highly recommend this company. They come and give a quote and within about a month you have your new windows installed in a clean, very finished and timely manner.
I would use them again. In fact I have used them for two different projects already and was delighted with both.

After living with my house’s original single paned aluminum windows for 20+ years I finally decided it was time for an upgrade. After talking with, and receiving quotes from a couple different companies, Yanek from Deluxe Windows and Doors came out. After he left I had a few hours of that «I really want to go with this company – I hope their quote is in the ballpark» feeling. Fortunately I was not kept in suspense long as Yanek’s quote arrived later that evening and the selection of brands, the pricing, and all the terrific reviews on Unilocal made going with Deluxe Windows and Doors an easy decision.
Deluxe Windows and Doors were a pleasure to work with. I selected the Amerimax Craftsman replacement windows. Yanek’s estimate of when the windows would arrive was spot on. The crew that installed them did a great job – they were quick and courteous and were able to install all 8 windows in a single day.
We’ve had the new windows for around 4 months now. The new windows have made a huge improvement in keeping my house warmer this winter. They have also made the house much quieter – I had not realized how much ambient noise I had grown used to hearing. Overall, a great experience.

This is an overdue review of Deluxe Windows and Doors. I purchased a new home last summer which had 9 outdated windows that needed to be replaced. I contacted and received quotes from 2 other companies (both of whom had received positive reviews online) but were over priced and the sales reps didn’t have any follow through. I also had Yanek visit my house and provide a quote for the window replacement. From the outset Yanek was extremely helpful in his recommendations for types of windows to utilize. He also recommended visiting his showroom prior to reaching a decision to get a first hand sense and comparison of the various windows available through his company. I subsequently decided on and purchased 9 Amerimax windows and had them installed by Yanek’s team. He took care of all the permits and paperwork required to be filed with the city. He was in constant contact with me and kept me updated of when the windows would arrive and the scheduling of the installation. He sent 2 of his installers who completed the job in one day. They showed up punctually on time, were professional and made sure they cleaned up all debris from the job.
I would highly recommend Yanek and his co. Deluxe Windows and Doors and will definitely use them the next time I need to replace additional windows. Excellent service, competitive pricing and a pleasure to work with.

If I could give them 4.5 stars I would. I now have beautiful Milgard windows that replaced clouded, dry-​rotted windows in my back room. Yanek helped me select the right class of windows for my situation, had an expert (Alex) come in and do the measurements and cost assessment, then had a couple talented installers place the windows, remove the outdoor sill that also was dry-​rotted (after only 25 years…), and build out the indoor and outdoor framing.
They were half the price of another quote and the workmanship is awesome. The (half) star off is for the lack of communication about production delays at Milgard that resulted in the installation being delayed a couple months from my expectations. But it ultimately wasn’t a big problem, fortunately.
I have more windows to replace eventually and will be going back to Deluxe for sure!

The Unilocal reviews (and responses) for Bestoff Windows & Construction scared me so I went with Deluxe Windows and Doors and I’m glad I did!
We live in a home built in the 1960s and had 10 windows with aluminum frames that needed to be replaced.
Yanek was a pleasure to work with. He had really short lead times at all stages of the project and was able to get measurements and an estimate with a really quick turnaround. He’s very responsive to phone calls and email and the crew that came out to install the windows did a wonderful job and were very neat, clean and courteous. Super convenient for them to handle requesting the permit through the Oakland Permit office. I also appreciated that Yanek did not pressure me to upgrade past my initial budget… in fact he quoted me at a lower cost brand of windows and I was the one that requested considering more expensive brands. I ended up going with Amerimax and am really happy with them. Also, the guy who came out to do the final measurements before window production talked me out of replacing a vinyl window that we wanted to open up. I always appreciate when a company talks you out of spending more money.
Would definitely use Deluxe Windows again — honest company that does high quality work.

Keep in mind: these guys won’t do just a few windows. They have a minimum. I don’t know why this information isn’t in their Unilocal listing nor is it on their website nor on their FAQ. Something like «minimum # of windows before we even estimate a job» is ‘s pretty basic info, so that people don’t waste time (theirs or Deluxe’s) with calls and inquiries.

We went through several bids before deciding on our window installation. Deluxe Window’s Yanek was the only one who followed up after 6 months (without the pushy sales talk). Even after acquiring re-​quotes from others, DW still had very competitive prices; we are so glad to choose them for their thoroughness, patience, and professionalism.
Yanek was patient throughout the sales phase — he took the time to educate us on window science and satisfied all of our questions — making us better informed consumers. He kept in touch throughout the measurement phase, installation phase, and follow-​ups.
Gary and his team of installers are great professionals. Installation was efficient and clean. Communication was great and the planned schedule was executed to perfection.
For our window brand, we chose Amerimax for what we felt gave us the best value; we have had them for about 1 month; keeping the home well insulated and they look great — very happy with them.

We just had 9 new windows installed by Deluxe Windows. We had met the owner, Yanek at a home improvement show about 2 years ago. Back then, he came to our home to provide a quote. We also had 2 other well-​known companies come out. Pella’s pricing was three times as much as Yanek. Amerimax windows have a lifetime guarantee as long as you own your home. This year, we decided to do the 9 windows so we called Deluxe Windows to get a revised quote. He kept the prices the same as they were 2 years ago and we placed the order. He called 2 weeks later saying the windows were in — when can they install them. Literally, 4 days later his guys were out to install them.
The guys who came out have worked with Yanek for many years and were skilled and professional. Deluxe Windows really can deliver on their prices. Yanek a professional person to deal with as well. I have no complaints and plan to use him again to finish the windows in the other half of our house next year.
So I would HIGHLY recommend Deluxe Window for your windows.

Deluxe Windows and Doors and Yanek are excellent. I got four different bids to replace all the windows in my home in Belmont, and Yanek was the obvious choice.
They offer a range of quality windows at the best possible prices. Seriously, they were roughly tied for the lowest price bid, but light years more professional than any of the rest except the one guy whose bid was nearly twice as high.
Two months after installation, I am so happy with my decision. Everyone involved was professional, punctual, and highly competent. Yanek was extremely thorough and answered all my questions. He followed up two or three times while I was chasing down bids from other less impressive contractors. If I told him I’d check back in two weeks, he would wait three or four, and then he would give me a call. It never felt pressured, but he clearly wanted my business. Whenever I called him, he always either answered or got back to me within a day.
He recommended a very moderately priced option (Amerimax) instead of trying to persuade me to buy the most expensive window possible. When we signed a contract, he laid out exactly what would happen in terms of payment and installation. He let me know that it would take 4 – 5 weeks for the windows to come from the manufacturer, and once they arrived, it would take one day (!) to install them.
The guy who took the measurements was fast and professional. The team of two who installed the windows did an incredibly good job, and they finished all twelve windows in about six hours.
I’ve now had the new windows in my house for about two months, and they are fantastic. Deluxe included screens with all the windows, and every window opens perfectly. They look fantastic, and they keep out road noise much better than my old windows. I can’t say enough nice things about Yanek and Deluxe.

I had to replace a leaking window (new construction was done) plus 4 other original windows that just needed replacement.
I selected Amerimax windows and they are great. Easy to use, easy to clean, heat/​cool inside the house is night and day compared to my old windows.
Yanek was the only company that said it is no problem to install windows with your shutters (no need to remove first).
He kept to his word and I will be using in the future for the rest of my windows when the time is needed.
Him and his crew were always on time.

I spent a lot of time talking with different window companies in the Bay Area. Many were very good, but one stood out head and shoulders above the rest, that being Deluxe Windows.
They were diligent and attentive before the installation, spending a couple of hours going over each window and door in detail and explaining the work that would be required and why. Communication on the run up to the installation was excellent and the install team were outstanding in terms their co-​ordination and their care and attention to my home while they were here. They were also right on time in terms of completion.
I don’t hesitate in thoroughly recommending Deluxe Windows. First class service in every respect.

Deluxe Windows makes replacing your windows easy and painless. Yanek was able to meet for initial measurements within a couple of days. He explained the different options and I had a quote in my inbox within 36 hours. Once the windows were manufactured, his crew was able to schedule installation on a Sunday. They finished in a few hours and left my home clean and neat.

Yanek and his crew were fantastic. They were able to give me a really good price for 4 windows, 3 of them needs the outside stucco to be removed due to water damage. Gary and another guy were able to install it in 1 day and it was a Sunday. The stucco guy came out on a Tuesday, did a really great job, matched the outside to the existing stucco. We had a couple of light rain shower, it hold up really well. We will definitely have them come over again to redo our other windows.

I called Deluxe Windows and Doors for an estimate on 9 windows. Not only did they answer the phone, they were able to come out quickly for an estimate. Yanek came out, arrived on-​time, brought samples, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I felt pretty good about the whole deal so I ordered the Amerimax windows after receiving the quote.
Windows came in exactly when he said they would and scheduled the install the following day. Mike and a crew member arrived @ 8am sharp as promised. They started work immediately and right away I could tell this was not their first day on the job. Their work was quick, clean, and efficient. I was originally told the job could take up to a day and a half, but finished in under 8hrs. My wife was thrilled! Happy wife, happy life.
