GoKart Racer

Came here for a company outing and it was awesome. Everyone had loads of fun. I think it’s a great place for a party or team-​building event.

Took my team here for a fun get together. (I have been here a few times before myself)
The price/​value is reasonable for the 12 people we had.
Beyond the safety video, it would be good if they could create a brief driving instruction video that point out some of the basics of handling the cars. Many of the people have not driven race cars and had trouble handling them until late in the event.

I booked my son’s birthday party at GoKart and everyone was very nice and accommodating. We arrived and had excellent pizza and then the boys (and one girl) went racing. Check in was easy and everyone had fun. The only negative was one boy’s car was not working at top speed so his experience was not that great. His car should have been switched out. We would go back!!!

Horrible place. The instructors are so rude. I don’t know if there is someone here to monitor them while they behave rudely with customers. All went well till the race completed. Instructor asked me to stop & was not clearly saying what to do next. He pushed my Kart from back & my leg was on the break pad. He didn’t even asked to release the break & started yelling at me non stop. That was so embarrassing. He didn’t stop even when I realized my unintentional mistake & apologized to him. Pathetic place!!! I will never ever come back here.

Our team outing (7 of us) had a great time there and we’ll definitely do it again. We signed up for the Grand Prix and it’s the best way to go. There’s a warm up lap (get familiar with the track and car) and then a final race. It was really a lot of fun and our whole team was literally exhausted and sore the next day from the adrenaline rush and sheer muscle power to steer and hold yourself in the car seat :-)

Had a team outing here the other day. Had to purchase a package for 8 people, even though there was only 7 of us, in order to take advantage of a two races on the selected day. This would be the only complaint that they had a minimum restriction on the number of people in the group. Again, not an issue for a corporate paid event, but may be for a smaller groups.
A registration process was super easy. One phone call and few very prompt email follow ups and the date was secured. We were informed with additional details a day prior to the event.
All in all this was a great experience for everyone who participated and we’re looking for doing this again sometime in the future.

Had a great time at my son’s 9^th bday party! The staff was extremely nice and accommodating (even when one of our guests was very late). I dealt primarily with Elaina and it was very easy to get the reservation done and get everything set up. Even got 20% off in lieu of having to buy a Living Social Coupon to get the same discount.
We were there midday on Saturday and it was not too crowded. The only thing is that it was a bit chilly on the actual track so if you are planning on watching your kid (s) there instead of the waiting area, bundle up. Kids did not feel any of it as they were wearing special jumpsuits, which are very cute by the way. They had a blast! That’s all you ask for at the kid’s bday party.

This was my first time at GoKart for a corporate event. Because we had the track to ourselves people we nice to one another, no bumping. The staff was nice and competent. I haven’t experienced anything bad that I’ve read about in the negative reviews. Because of the shape of the track, you can’t go at the full 45mph, so it felt really safe.
A few tips: pick a nickname when registering to feel less embarrassed if your finishing position turns out to be not what you expected. There may be reasons for that besides your skill. The drivers don’t have the same weight, and the carts might not be the same. Be ready that what you have to do is against what you’ve learned as a safe street driver.

This is a great place to be. Staff is friendly. The go karts are extremely fun. I had hella fun. Both times I came. I’m definitely coming back soon. I had a blast. And so did everyone else. They have jumpsuits, and lockers. Make sure you are safe, and follow the rules because that’s the only way everyone can have a good time. If everyone is hitting each and jamming up the lanes, it’s frustrating. So get the hell out of the way please !

This is the best go kart option in the bay area. They have 2 tracks and decent karts. This is a little more serious then K1 is but still fun for all. The surface is a little slick which is fun. The track is completely indoors. One track even has a bit of elevation changes. Getting here is a bit of a hike for my but worth it. The only thing negative is there seems to be one very grumpy worker here who got on the track and tried to hit me with a yellow flag because he wasn’t pleased with my speed during the cool down lap. Ohh well, still lots of fun.

Leading up to the event they were very easy to work with, and they were organized and friendly throughout the event itself.

I celebrated my birthday at their place. It was a total success, all my friends loved it.
We were using the Groupon coupons, unfortunately they messed up a little with charging my credit card (charged me for some double, even they had their groupon) but in the end they reimbursed me and we were all good :)
It is pricey, but the memory and experience were definitely worth it!

Most horrible gokart place I have ever been to. Will not recommend this place to my friends because one of the employees keeps flipping us off while racing. He was very aggressive and making it a horrible event for all the racers. We found out he works there (tall Caucasian high school or college kid). can’t believe he isn’t being talked to by his coworkers or manager. How can a worker flip off customers?! Wtf… worst place ever but the other marshals were nice. Over all would not come back again because of the crazy rude employee.

Top notch staff. Reservations were straight forward and Elaina was on her game. The front desk staff was very nice and friendly and the course marshals were quick and accurate.
They were great at getting the people that spun out turned around and keeping everyone safe. Specifically, they also were some of the best I have seen about getting racers to see the blue flags, not being overly aggressive about a reasonable amount of light bumping/​contact but they jumped on people if the bumping was intentionally forceful. I really appreciated that because it made the racing way more fun!

Kids managing kids. Horrible experience and the race track crew use foul language, hate their jobs and have no management skills nor how to work with the public.
We will never be here again and we will make sure to tell everyone else about our experience.

I’ve been to just about every go-​karting place in the bay area. This one may be my favorite!
I went with a group of five for my friends birthday. We called ahead and they said we didn’t need a reservation. I guess this is because they are one of the largest in the bay area. I love going with experienced/​non experienced drivers. On one hand, I love the competition to better your lap time and stay on top of the leader board, on the other, to see the look on a newbie’s face and their hands shaking from adrenaline after their first race is priceless.
You walk in the door and register your driving name (stuck to ‘The Guerracuda’ of course) and they give you a license and a head sock. If you have these you can save $ 5 the next time you come and dont have to re-​register. You get directed to the changing room and throw a racing onesie on top of your clothes. There are lockers for your things. I hate the feeling of things in my pocket during a race. It is also not recommended to have things like your phone on your person.
The tracks are pretty fun! There are two indoor tracks called Yokohama and Monza. We did two races on Yokohama and one on Monza. During certain days both tracks are linked for a super circuit! I’ll have to come back to try that one! Yokohama is a fun circuit with long straights and high speed turns. This one was great to get a feel for where the limits of the kart are. Monza is a cool circuit too with lots of technical turns and a bridge! I wish I had gotten a second race on this one to feel it out better and improve my track time.
The carts here are pretty sturdy. With all go kart places, certain karts will be faster/​handle better than others. I prefer lighter karts that are a little squirrely. I like to feel like I’m fighting the kart for control and pushing it past it’s limits! The Karts here go about 35 – 40 mph which feels pretty fast on these tracks. But I didn’t come across a kart that I didn’t like (which happens sometimes at other places).
My experience here was great! I’m headed back soon for sure!

This was freaking awesome! We went here this weekend for my cousins birthday and we had a blast. I love that your group gets to be on a private track, so we didn’t have to deal with any strangers. For me and my hubby it was 90 dollars. At first I was like wow that’s a bit much, but it was definitely WORTH IT!
We went to the locker room to get dressed and they had a lot of sizes for the women. The room smelled a little sour, but we did go at 10:30 and they close at 12. After we got dressed we watched a safety video and headed to the track.
Being on the track was real! The gokarts were really fast and the Yokahama track had enough curves to keep you interested. This was a great experience and everyone should go at least once!

Go Karting is a must if you’ve never tried it. I use to ride Go Karts off road as a kid all the time but this is a completely different experience on a race track. The experience is FAST but also SAFE… Yes SAFE, for those first time riders do not be scared as you have a lot of protective gear on and these Karts will not flip over, also there are safety reps all over the track to make sure all the karts are running properly and everybody is following the rules.
Important Things To Know:

* Bring your ID or else you can not race!
* Dress comfortably, as it gets really hot while driving.
* Make sure your helmet is a tight, and not loose as a lot of head movement occurs while riding.
* Ask any questions in the intro class, as it will be too noisy to ask once you get into your kart and into the pits.
* Go at your own pace and get use to the track in the qualifying laps, then in the real race unleash BEAST MODE!?!

This place is great for a birthday gathering, expect to pay anywhere from $ 40 – 60 per person depending on what type of race you choose. They will supply you all the equipment from the helmet to the suit. They also have a locker room area where you can put your belongings in. They also a have laser maze that you can try out, so you can do your best impersonation of Mission Impossible. So don’t forget your ID, come peep this place out, and be ready to ride Fast and Furious at GoKart Racer!

Vroom Vroom! I planned this activity for my husband’s birthday and he loved it! It was fun to have a few other friends with us because we were able to race each other. The staff here are very nice and friendly. They helped get our group started with registration and directed us to what we had to do next.
We did the Yokohama race track for ten minutes and it was a bit scary at first. I was afraid of flipping over, but that was silly. After the 10 minute of adjusting, I finally stepped on the gas and passed a few people. It felt good! After the race was over, we were each given a results sheet to keep.
A few of us tried the laser maze and it was super fun! Overall, we all had a great time especially being able to race against each other. Can’t wait until next time!

Very fun! We showed up spontaneously and were in our go karts racing in less than 45 minutes.
We did the Yokohama racetrack for ten minutes. Also, they have 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd place standouts for fun pictures after! Results are printed out and you can take home your head sock, go kart license, and results.
Fun spot! Highly recommend.
