Description

Specialties

We offer classes in social skills, manners and etiquette and empowerment for students grades 2 – 9. The 2−4th graders have a one time all day Saturday workshop, while the older students attend classes once a month from September to March. Older students attend a dinner at a local restaurant, a theater event and reception to practice their skills. Classes end with a formal Spring Ball. We also offer empowerment workshops for tween and teen girls.

History

Established in 1995.

Mr and Mrs. Millet started Junior Manners Cotillion in the Bay area in 1995. The Millets were southerners who grew up in a time when learning social skills and etiquette came naturally from family, friends and schools. Ms. Gerzanics, a college professor, bought the company in the fall of 2012 and added classes for younger students, curriculum for digital media and social networking and empowerment classes for tween and teen girls.

Business Owner

Ms. Gerzanics is a professor and mother who has always been committed to the development and growth of young people. She was born in England at a time when leaned values, including respect for elders, chewing with your mouth closed, and being polite to others, were naturally expected. She is committed to bringing these beliefs and benefits in the children of the Peninsula, and is delighted to help parents and students navigate the new and important methods of communication now available to us all. She is excited to be able to teach children the skills needed to navigate our complex society.
