I just love Le Reve Salon! Go see Judy for an amazing cut and color. (Or anyone else, they’re all great!) I’ve seen my share of stylists and can honestly say she’s the sweetest and most knowledgeable hair dresser I’ve been to. She kills it at the top trends like ombré color, bayalage color and straightening systems. She has knowledge of sensitive skin and is so helpful with keeping me happy with every request. she truly cares how I feel about my hair when I leave. She also does my dad’s hair and he always looks so dapper after his visit. Thanks Judy!

I absolutely love Le Reve Salon. I have been long overdue with this review. I have been going to this salon for more than 4 years. Jessica otherwise known as Jessie has been the only stylist I’ve been seeing and she is outright awesome. She is always honest with what look would be best with my face shape and what colors would compliment my skin tone. She has cut my hair short, medium, given me an A-​line cut and colored my hair with highlights, ombré and now purple.
Not only is Jessie the best part of Le Reve, their front desk staff is awesome as well! Always friendly, and accommodation of times available are made.
I highly recommend LE Reve and of course Jessie as the stylist.

Best salon in the Bay Area! Talented and passionate stylist. Rhea is amazing at ombrés and how to style long hair. I’ve coming to here since 2011. I recommend booking an appointment in advance, they fill up fast.

First, I love the location! Street parking, tons of it and it is free. A rarity in Burlingame =) Second, love the vibe. The décor down to the music playing in the background (island reggae) makes the experience all the while more relaxing.
I have been here three times in the past few months for a balayage and highlights. The scheduling process was fairly easy, I was able to luckily get an appoint in with Katelyn. I showed her a few pictures of what I wanted to achieve and she wholeheartedly told me if she could deliver the results or not. If not, she discussed the steps of what we would need in order to get there. She also offered the option of emailing her pictures with ideas that I may have, which I really appreciated. Rarely does your stylist offer to communicate via email and I appreciated her flexibility.
I love how this salon is respectful of your time. Therefore, you can get colored, cut, etc. with the option to blow dry and style your own hair or pay extra and get styled. This is extremely helpful for those on the go. Such a time saver! Furthermore, the wifi is gold here lol I was able to get work done, logging on the wifi while getting my hair done. =)
Lastly, the prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality of service you are getting. I am down one star because in regards to tip, its cash only. You cannot include it with your services and the nearest ATM is a few blocks away. Ensure that you have cash upon coming to tip your stylist. =)

Amy is the best!
I emailed Le Reve asking for a consultation and they were super responsive and suggested I come for the consultation. I’ve dyed my hair various times (red, purple, light brown, dark brown) and when I met with Amy, I showed her all these hair pictures from pinterest and instagram. We came to the conclusion that I wanted to do balayage. I asked Amy how long the process would take and she told me about two hours and we scheduled my appointment for 2 weeks after the consultation.
Amy wasn’t kidding, the process along with blow dry and styling took 2 hours. She even curled my hair for me and she knew exactly what I wanted. it’s been almost 3 weeks and I’m still loving my hair, can’t wait to make it even lighter next time.
Verdict: I’m coming back in July to make my hair even lighter!

Got a professional and gorgeous hair cut/​style from Katelyn! Not only did she transform my look she also made it functional for my every day style and I absolutely love it!

Fab haircut from Judy! she took her time and really made sure the details were accurate. I had a one length bland hairstyle before and she turned it to a stylish layered look! they use quality products at the salon. The salon is also clean and well-​kept.

Reah is the best. It usually takes me months with a new stylist before I start getting what I want. I waited 6 months when moving here to cut my hair as I was so scared. Rhea got my layers right the first time and consistently does a great job. I’m so lucky I found her!

I came to get toner for my highlights and a blow dry, i can say that i did not get my money’s worth. The toner was $ 25 and was okay but i got charged and extra $ 50 for a blow dry that felt rushed and did not look like i got a professional blow dry! I could have done a better job if i did it myself and im not a hairstylist! I have been going to different salons and have gotten blow dries before and this one sucks!!! Jessie did mine and i was not happy and satisfied with the result, definitely not worth $ 50!!! She did not even ask for feedback on how i felt about the result! Thumbs down! Never coming back here!

This is second time I went to this salon. Last time was one and half year ago, maybe. At that time my hair stylist was attentive and trying to good job. This time, I had a young stylist named Jessi. She was nice but I had impression that she just wanted to get it done her job quick, not paid much attention to what she did.
When I came home and looked myself in a mirror, I found left side was much longer that right side. The right side was not even, there was partially longer that other part, which should not be that way. I thought about called them and go back there and redone, but I did not want to waist my time. I cut my hair by myself. It definetly was not $ 100 (including tip) hair cut. I am not going back there. (I have an impression that the owner of this salon changed)

Omg Liz is a hair goddess! I have very thick and unmanageable hair. It never fails that every time I go to a salon I come out unhappy with what the stylist has done (and by no means am I picky about my hair). I have NEVER had anyone do such a good job! What an amazing stylist… I will never go anywhere else as long as I’m in Cali.

RHEA is awesome, sweet, and an amazing stylist! I’ve been coming to her since a year ago and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. She will work with you to achieve your look. Lots of parking on the street which makes it a plus. Make sure you book an appointment because this place is popular.

I have got my last 3 – 4 hair cuts at La Reve and I have always come out very very happy :). Judy is awesome! She is consistent and very collaborative during the whole haircut, always checking with me if I am liking what is happening. This my go to place for haircuts in the peninsula.

I have found a new salon that I’ll go to from now on! Some background info before I give my review:
Yesterday I went to Belissima Salon in San Mateo. Cami has been cutting my hair for a few years now so I figured I’d do something different since I always have black hair. Anyway, I wanted a subtle bayalage… So I had a slot for 1:30 — 3:30 — Cami said it would be a good amt of time, considering she knows the history of my hair. I also showed Cami different pics of what I wanted. WRONG!
Anyway… She completely rushed my appointment and blamed my hair for being «stubborn.» She knew that I used boxed dye 2 – 3 years ago, yet she only left the bleach in for 15 minutes. Then blamed my hair and didn’t do anything to fix the ugly ass color (and cut, btw).
My hair turned out to be complete WRECK! It looked like I was 13 and sprayed «sun in» in my hair. I had orange roots and ends of my hair were barely touched. It looked like random orange spots on my head. WTF RIGHT?!
She knew I was upset and very dissatisfied with her work but she did not comp me what so ever. In fact, she asked me to come back next week (additional cost). FUCK THAT.
Anyway…
I called Le Reve in a panic, and JESSICA was able to squeeze me in. I told her what happened and she allotted 4 hours for my appointment and completely fixed everything that was wrong w my hair!!! This woman is a hair surgeon!!! Thank you so much, Jessica and Le Reve salon for your great work and customer service! I’m officially a convert! Lol
The prices are pretty average for a high end salon, they serve coffee, tea and water. Also have tons of magazines and great music. Environment all together is wonderful. Definitely recommend this place!!!

I’ve recently moved back to the bay area after a several year stint of being away — and needed to find a stylist. On seeing the positive reviews for the salon, I called for a last minute appointment and was paired with Katelyn.
She was great! She listened to what I was going for, knows my longer term style goals, and my hair came out perfectly. I liked her easy and –present– nature.
I’ve definitely found my new stylist! Yay!
Also, in general, I liked that the salon is unstuffy, and that the other stylists were friendly toward one another, and seemed sincere.

First time I went there looking for a new hair colorist, recommended by a girlfriend that Rachel specializes in cut and color. She’s super sweet snd knew exactly where to pick up after I had my hair done by a previous salon. Knowledgable and has great recommendations to what the best look would be for your features. HIGHLY recommend Rachel if your looking for a new colorist.

The highlights (pun intended) from my experience: Everyone was friendly, the staff seemed very close, and in turn, the atmosphere was very comfortable. Jessi is very knowledgeable, so her consultation was very helpful; pretty much attentive to the details of what my hair had gone through (two perms and black hair dye) and strategized a game plan to maneuver past that. Throughout the whole treatment (from opening to closing time) she was positive and answered all my questions, I’d definitely recommend her to anyone — she’s super talented. I was/​am super happy with the end result!!!
Advice to people looking for a salon and happened to stumble upon this one: I say go for it! Just from looking through their gallery you can see how talented the staff is — I felt pretty confident having the fate of my hair rest in their hands. I know for sure I will be coming back for future hair projects and touchups! :D

Finally! After months of research on trying to find the perfect salon, Le Reve Salon was definitely the best choice. My hairstylist Rhea and I emailed back and forth beforehand about what my desired look was and honest expectations since I had black dye in already. She explained that it would take more than one session and I was a little hesitant since I had a bad experience with another salon that left my hair bright orange and jagged. After two sessions of hard work, she was able to achieve a beautiful dual toned mix of chocolate brown, caramel and hints of blonde to blend perfectly together. Thanks again Rhea for being patient with my hesitations and indecisiveness, but it came out great in the end. The salon itself is beautiful, warm, with other stylists in friendly convos with their customers.

I’ve followed Rhea around for years and was so excited when she opened her own salon in Burlingame! I’ve never left disappointed and always, always love the outcome. I always receive compliments on my hair! Rhea listens to what you want and never makes you second guess yourself. You wanna cut your hair that reaches your butt to a short bob? Let’s do it! You wanna go from a red to a blonde? Let’s do it! You wanna go purple? Let’s do it!
I sometimes go to other stylists (gasp!) but they never meet the quality that Rhea provides, and I keep coming back.

The BEST hair salon experience of my life!
I booked my hair appointment 3 weeks in advance with Maria since I’ve been following her Instagram account @hairbymarmar. I booked it for color and cut (all over color). I was really loving the whole lob haircut, which is a long bob for the season to come!
Once I arrived, I was offered coffee and then had my mini consultation with Maria! She really paid a lot of attention to the style that I was looking for, and looked for solutions that were going to be healthy for my hair. We browsed through pictures together to get the idea of the haircut that I wanted. I was feeling really confident and comfortable with her!
The color turned out fantastic! It was a beautiful natural dark black color I wanted, and looks so healthy. The haircut went really great! She paid very close attention to detail and worked wonders to my hair.
Maria is super sweet and very talkative! We got along really well and time flew by quickly. She even taught me how to style my new cut! I will definitely be returning here more often!
