Peninsula Plastic Surgery Inc., founded in 1956, is proud to be one of the most established plastic surgical practices in the Bay Area. For almost 30 years, Dr. Lorne Rosenfield has maintained the practice’s recognized high standard of care.
Dr. Lorne King Rosenfield is an internationally renowned aesthetic surgeon who has published extensively and lectured regularly about his innovative techniques in cosmetic surgery. His «Pinch Blepharoplasty» technique, a more effective and safer approach, has been adopted by his colleagues the world over, as have his less invasive Facelift and Abdominoplasty procedures. Dr. Rosenfield’s operating room safety checklist has become the official prototype for the American Aesthetic Society and all its members. In addition, Dr. Rosenfield has created the very active Peninsula Plastic Surgical Foundation, which has delivered charitable reconstructive care to hundreds of patient within both his local community and the greater Bay Area.

Dr. Rosenfield was educated in Canada and the U.S.A. and is Board certified in both General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His private practice Burlingame, now in its 27th year, includes a fully accredited surgery center with private postoperative nursing care.
Dr. Rosenfield is an active Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at both UCSF and Stanford University Medical Centers. In addition, he conducts teaching courses for his fellow plastic surgeons nationally and internationally on various techniques in aesthetic surgery for which he is renowned. Dr. Rosenfield also publishes actively on aesthetic surgery in the most prominent journals and texts in plastic surgery. He continues to be peer selected as a «Best Doctor» as well as «Top Doctor» in plastic surgery (an honor bestowed upon only 3% of all surgeons in America).
