Business Owner

Orene Kearn, a certified Image and Wardrobe Consultant, is an expert on strategic dressing for your body type. She has helped women and men tackle their image issues and enhance their visual credibility. Orene brings joy and ease to her clients in helping them develop their unique personal styles, build their wardrobes to suit their needs and feel confident about their appearance in every situation.

Prior to becoming an image consultant, Orene practiced law for 14 years, in the areas of estate planning and tax at major law firms. Then, after much education and study, Orene earned her certification in image consulting and joined the Assoc. of Image Consultants Int’l. Orene uses psychological skills from her law practice in image consulting, as issues concerning self-​image are at the heart of all personal image work. As the only AICI certified image consultant in the Bay Area with an intensive law background, Orene truly fills a niche for entrepreneurial and professional men and women

Orene is very knowledgeable. She did a great job helping me define my personal style based on my personality, body type, coloring and features. Then we spent several hours weeding out the clothes I had hoarded (and was still wearing!) since the ’90’s — and yes — even a few from the ’80’s! I’m delighted with my new style — and am thankful for Orene’s practiced eye and tactful direction. I look forward to our upcoming shopping trip.

I needed a polished look for work, but my wardrobe was stuck in my 30’s. Orene patiently but efficiently went through all the outdated, ill-​fitting schmate and pulled together outfits I didn’t know I had. She also left me with a list of things to buy and a sharper sense for what does and doesn’t work on my body. I thought her opinions on what a «polished» looks like were most helpful. Well worth it!

Orene recently came to my home for a closet audit. She was prompt, professional and personable With her excellent eye for fashion we weeded thru my entire closet and pared it down to only those pieces that fit me well, were current and attractive. Orene managed to stay focused and upbeat when my energy lagged. and she was always patient and nonjudgmental. Prior to her visit I constantly felt that I had nothing to wear and struggled to get dressed for work every morning. I now feel good about my wardrobe– and without any shopping required! Orene was efficient, intuitive, and has a great eye. We edited my existing wardrobe, jettisoned that which was out of date, no longer fit, or was just not attractive on me. A couple of weeks later we shopped for replacement pieces (I hate to shop, but Orene is a pro) and I have a great new wardrobe that stayed within my budget and our allotted time.

Orene has been a great help to me in learning about what styles work for my body and what colors. Since I have had her help I regularly receive compliments — which is very nice! I especially appreciate that Orene teaches me as we go when we are shopping. That way, I feel very empowered and confident to shop on my own and take what I have learned back to my closet! I worked with Orene Kearn to update my wardrobe and get me ready for job interviews. She is really the best I’ve ever used. Orene spent a long time getting to know me and working with me in my closet. Instead of taking pictures of outfits she put together, she provided me with a notebook in which I could write down all of her ideas in a simple format. Then, we went shopping. It seemed she picked out a million things for me at one department store. I know I tried on 10+ pairs of jeans. I was thrilled with almost everything she selected for me. Orene is highly professional and personable, with a discerning eye for what looks right on unique figure types. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and highly recommend her services.

In late August, my husband and I were about to leave for a trip back East for a black-​tie family wedding, followed by 2 weeks in Europe. I was in a fashion panic. Fortunately, Orene came to the rescue and everything worked out fabulously. Despite her own impending trip, she took the time to take me through her valuable image assessment process, then whisk me through a mall, where she helped me pick exactly the right things to take on the trip — and wear afterwards. She is truly wonderful to work with — discerning but nonjudgmental, astute, creative, unflappable, and with great taste. And she even brought snacks! I’ve lost weight since our session. The bad news — nothing fits. The good news — more shopping! And, of course, I plan to work with Orene. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
