Insalata Tricolore is my favorite, and a must each stop… Service is always good. I easily pass the neighboring restaurant to enjoy Pizzeria Delfina…

This place used to be much better. I am not sure why the quality has dropped so much. Was an average experience. And for the price you pay you should have nothing but a great experience.

I go here quite often and its nice that my local town has a decent Italian pizzeria but I have come to expect and understand what I can expect to get there— The pizzas are good– nice crust, very artisan and upscale, but they are often way to salty, especially the ones with meaty toppings. I tend to stick with the plain margarita one if I don’t want it to be over salted. The wait staff is really the worst part about this place. Everyone is nice and friendly but slow– even when the place is empty I usually have to wait 15 minutes to even get a glass of water. If you want your appetizer before your pizza or if you order a salad or pasta and want it as your meal while your dinner partner has a pizza, you must specify that you want your pasta to come at the same time as their pizza– otherwise they randomly deliver everything as it is ready. This would be fine if everyone was sharing everything but its not like everyone who eats at Delfina Burlingame is Italian and with their whole family and wants to share. This is not Nuovo Vesuvio its Delfina– fancy pants San Francisco pizza being served to the younger hipster crowd in the«BG» who don’t want to drive to the city but still want a upscale artisan crust pizza. Overall the food is mostly ok, but I would really only recommend the pizza. Their sides are ok, but often quite greasy. In general I am happy that Burlingame finally has some decent food– –including Mingabala, Delfina, The Plant, and soon to come, the Peruvian place on the corner! Just watch the salt chefs!

The restaurant experience often hinges on what the server was like. He was professional and friendly. He also spoke loudly and clearly, which appealed to the ears of a guy who has a hard time hearing in louder places(yes, this Pizzeria Delfina location can get loud, on account of being surrounded by lots of hard surfaces, and often times plenty of kids). And I’m always pleased and impressed when the server coordinates with his staff to ensure all of your food is brought to the table simultaneously. It appeals to my hungry side because you don’t have to wait awkwardly until everyone has food sitting in front of them before you tear into a pizza. Although I’m normally not a big fan of «family style»(unless it’s Chinese) it works here. If you’re hungry while waiting for your pizza you can gnaw on a bouquet of long, skinny breadsticks that sit in a cup like pencils. I also like the text messaging routine the host uses for alerting you when your table is ready. This partly appeals to my germaphobe side — not wanting to grasp onto some buzzer/coaster/blinky/thingy that countless others have held onto, given to their baby to teeth on, etc. The pizza is good and fresh. The salads are good and fresh. I haven’t had their pasta, but when we walked out the back door(BTW, there’s a nice parking lot out back where you can park your Tesla… no, you don’t have a Tesla? Well, you’ll feel like you should have one, because every other person parking around here has one **Tesla envy**) …and we chatted with one of the cooks, who explained that he was cooking the pasta, and he proudly urged us to try it next time. So come check out their cool mural on the wall, eat skinny breadsticks, and drink their honey & ginger lemonade. It’s a fun, light environment and the food’s good. It gets my coveted rating, «Yay! I’m a fan.»

Decent environment but just average pizza and a pretentious attitude. Not worth the wait for sure when Blue Line is right down the street.

Although it shares the same name and I suppose owners, this is not of the same quality or service as of the original SF location. While it always seems busy, service is spotty and inconsistent. The wait staff and kitchen seem to have a communication problem — food comes out in haphazard order and speed. While some folks pizza came out fairly quickly our pasta for another guest came out 15 minutes later. The pace seems off. The wait staff is super friendly and earnest — needs work on execution. The food is good not as good as SF but good — so four stars there. Two stars for service.

Super friendly and fast service! Jenna was our server and she was super sweet. We had a margarita pizza and the broccoli raab. The broccoli pizza was amazing definitely recommend. The drinks come in cute little carafes so you get a generous amount. Overall super good experience. Keep it up!

Very fresh food, GREAT quality. Came here on a Saturday at 2pm. It was super nice outside so we were seated right away in the patio garden. My Dad and I ordered fresh pulled mozzarella to start. It came with crostinis and arugula. We also shared a prosciutto pizza for the main course. I had a peach Belini and my father had an anchor steam beer. He enjoyed everything and was even impressed. Nothing was too heavy, or salty. My father is Italian, and my grandparents grew up in Italy so it is hard to impress him. I would recommend. It was great quality food with great service and a great atmosphere!

Pizzeria Delfina, in my opinion, suffers from«POO» — Plain, Overpriced & Overrated. Ouch. SERVICE: Very hit and miss. The hostess was excellent, very accommodating. She made sure we got seated right away by asking her staff to make room for a table of two, even though the place was packed. Our server was a different story. All his recommendations pretty much sucked. It wasn’t until after I ate and glanced at the menu that I noticed the salad, pizza and side dish were the most expensive items for each section of the menu. Very bad form on his part. BROCCOLIRAABPIZZA + FENNELSAUSAGE — 2 stars — $ 17.50 + $ 3.00: For over $ 20 I got a pizza big enough to satisfy half my appetite. Not only that, there was nothing great about it. What upset me the most was how the server recommended adding fennel sausage(for $ 3) only to find out it didn’t add anything to the pie. It didn’t play a great role and didn’t mix well with the rest of the toppings. The only great thing about the pizza was the crust — very crispy. JERSEYSTYLECHOPPEDSALAD — 2 stars — $ 16.00: Again, this was heavily recommended by our server. First bite was great. However, by your third bite you can’t ignore how overdressed it is. The oily vinaigrette(if you want to call it that) literally coated my mouth and it took a full glass of water and two breadsticks to get that oily, slippery feeling off my tongue. NEAPOLITANMEATBALLS — 2.5 stars — $ 16.5: Once again, these were recommended. The server said, and I quote, «They’re REALLY good.». Well, they’re not«REALLY» good. They’re very average. Not only that, they took forever to come out. No joke, the meatballs came out well after our pizza. I’m also convinced they don’t prep their meatballs the same day. They must have been frozen for at least overnight and that makes a big difference. The center was pretty cold and the meat had a pretty grainy texture. However, the sauce was great and the slices of bread that accompanied it went really well together. Pizzeria Delfina, in just a couple short months, will be the third, yes, the third pizza joint on Burlingame Avenue. I saw the sign for a new one opening up but I forgot the name. It doesn’t matter. If you’re in Burlingame and looking for good pizza, I’d give Blue Line a try. It won’t be the best pizza you’ve ever had but it’s the best on Burlingame Ave.

We’ve been here a few times and the food is pretty good, but you have to be careful about what what you are ordering. I read other reviews and people should maybe stick with domino’s if they don’t appreciate good Italian food. The salads, the pizza, the service — all exceptional. Small, tight and crowded — but worth the wait. Consider taking it to go and enjoy it in front of a good Italian movie.

I’ve ordered from here about two times, the first time I ordered to go, and the second time I dined in. I’m a total fan for the Prosciutto pie! It is the best pizza on the menu, from my experience, and it’s also the most suggested pizza to try when u go here. The Prosciutto pie has prosciutto di Parma(obviously lol), caciocavallo, mozzarella, panna, and arugula. I also had the Salsiccia, which has house made fennel sausage, tomato, bell peppers, onions, and mozzarella. Honestly in my opinion, once I had the Prosciutto, I really wish I had two orders of it instead of my order of Salsiccia. Don’t get me wrong, the Salsiccia is okay, its a little bit mild, but it definitely dynamic taste compared to the prosciutto. Not only are their pizzas really tasty, but so are their appetizers. I orderd the Saffron Arancini and the Neapolitan Meatballs in Sugo. Tons of people rave about the Saffron Arancini so I was totally hyped up for this one. It was very good, but not like«omg this is the best thing ever!!!» kinda good. It was an interesting taste, and they were also super cute! The Neapolitan meatballs are pork, beef, and veal meatballs with tomato sauce, and crostini. Now this one was amaaazing. I also suggest using the leftover sauce on your pizza crust, perfect combination. Pizzeria Delfina is a very clean place, it looks really cool and open inside. It is a little bit pricey and the pizza is not very big, however getting two for a party of 5 was just right. The staff was friendly and my party was seated immediately, which was great! I’m definitely coming back here to try their gelatos and pasta!

This place was highly recommend by a friend of us, unfortunately our experience was not memorable :( We had arancini and broccoli Rabe pizza. Arancini were salty and greasy, the pizza was nothing of special, the topping(rabes) was not enough and just in the center of the pizza, so the remaining crust around was very dry. The worst part was the service… with so many waiters you expect a super stellar service, no… actually they were very busy talking, kidding and laughing each other that they didn’t pay attention to the customers(us included). We had to struggle more than once to catch their attention, very unprofessional. A total waste of time and money.

Pros: chewy crispy neapolitan pizzas Cons: poor service. Takes longer than necessary to be seated. Poor stranger next to us got her plate several minutes after getting her pizza. Food takes a long time. Our salad came in separate components and the plate was too small to toss it.

Before heading back to the hotel on a recent trip, we wanted to grab something quick & easy … like pizza. So friends recommended two places, Blue Line Pizza and Delfina. We were told Blue Line makes thick crust pies, so it might take a while and Delfina usually is pretty quick. turnover. So we naturally chose the latter. Delfina has an energetic & vibrant scene. It’s loud, fast paced and appears to be very popular. We came here around dinner time and were actually seated quickly upstairs(A small dining area with 4 medium tables, accommodating about 16 people) We already decided on the Salsiccia while waiting for our table, which consists of their homemade fennel sausage, tomatoes & bell peppers. The pie was thin, crisp and had burnt edges. No, not the nice char from a high heat oven, but actually burnt parts. The saltiness of the fennel sausage was overpowering everything on the pizza, covering up even the sauce. The pizza came in only one size, which is small in my eyes but did successfully feed 2 not so hungry people. And at $ 18.(based on memory) it was overpriced and over-hyped. We were also served a small plate of dried parmesan, red peppers and dried basil. Not one of these had any flavor or smell. It’s as if the plate was left sitting on the counter for days and every bit of aroma escaped it. After the first slice, I just didn’t even bother. However, the service by the lady working that section was prompt and courteous. She gave us enough attention without us having to flag her down, but also didn’t interfere with our over-salty pizza. Will we come back? Highly unlikely. I don’t feel the ambiance and décor of a pizza place should ever take priority over the actual flavor of the pie. Based on our visit, that’s exactly what we experienced.

I really don’t even know where to start! I planed a party for 15 at Delfina a week ago, from the awesome event planning team(Coral, you rock!) to the great manager(Amanda!!!) and our sweet server, the night went off perfect! They have GREAT packages for groups — definitely a place to check out for team dinners/parties. They were very accommodating to my request for multiple pizza, bottomless wine and lots of food(we got their top package.) To me its all about the small thing — first they let me customize my menus for the event. Second I called day-of to confirm everything and since it was a very nice day out Amanda offered to seat us outside, YES!!! If you haven’t ever sat outside(and I’m taking in the back) plan your next warm night out here to check out the beautiful settings, easy back parking and bistro lined rooftop. MUST!!! THEBURRATA! So tasty, best I’ve had. Our team ate about 3 of these along with the warm olives. The food was everything and more. Top notch even when ordering for a big party. Thank you Delfina staff for a wonderful night out, memorable dinner and even better food!

Came here for dinner with a couple of friends and we ordered the proscuttio Pie, the Funghi and their famous spaghetti. The Funghi pizza was extraordinary, had lots and lots of mushroom which I love and I love the fact that their pizza is thin crust. The prosciutto pizza had a good amount and it was topped off with arugula. I was first very stingy to order the prosciutto pie because my previous experience, the arugula was way too salty!!! But this time, boy was it good!!! And I hope they keep it at this consistency for my next visit. My friend raved about the spaghetti, so we decided to order and give it a try. And to be honest, pasta is pasta. Nothing really too exciting about it. Service was GREAT! Our host was very attentive and would crack a joke with my party once in a while. Always replaced our water jug and continuously bring us breadsticks.

Came here for dinner around 5:30PM. I tried the one in San Francisco and it was pretty good and decided to try the one here. Service was friendly and fast. Environment was clean and comfortable, they had a upstairs also. We ordered: Napoletana: This was OK, cheesy and had great flavors, but wish it had more toppings Neapolitan Meatballs in Sugo: Yummy! Tastes the same as the SF location, love it! Saffron Arancini: Pretty interesting, fried risotto, kind of heavy for my taste Affogato: Pretty good, but I have had better Overall, pretty average, they don’t have enough selection in their menu, pretty limited. I like the SF location better for my taste, they at least have the Carbonara Pizza!

I know I’m jaded about pizza, but if an establishment is charging 21 $ for a 12-inch pizza they had better do it right. Delfina has a great reputation in SF; at the original downtown SF locations there are lines out the door. Alas, the pizza is overrated. I went to the location in Burlingame and it was about a 5 minute wait for two people on a Friday night – I think we got lucky because there is usually a 20 minute wait-time. The service seemed to be going ok but after 30 minutes they came to tell us the pizzas would be out in ‘2 minutes’; well, 15 minutes later they came out. We ordered one with added arugula(at 3 bucks per topping) and they forgot to add it. Ok, wait a bit more. The pizza was pretty tasty, I got the salsiccia and the prosciutto pie. I’d say the salscicia was better tasting(with a nice spice kick) but had too little toppings. The crust was not as good as other wood fired Neapolitan pizza I’ve had – it lacked that chewy quality and was rather dry. Pizzeria Delfina is a good example of what happens to people’s expectations when there is a lot of hype about pizza – it makes you think it’s ok to pay over 40 $ for two pizzas, endure a 40 minute wait for them, and then have them forget a topping you paid 3 bucks for. It’s not really ok. With Pizza My Heart just a block away, I’m not sure why the lines are here.

Pizza Phenomenon!!! I have been going to Pizzeria Delfina for few years now and the food is excellent. The pizza is to die for, thin and crispy and their toppings are oh so fresh. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone. The brick-oven pizza style calls for a very hot oven, a thin pizza with delicate crust, and a few well-chosen toppings. These folks do it right. We had the Margherita pizza — tomato, mozzarella basil. Toppings were super fresh, mozzarella was oh so good, and the tomatoes were super sweet. They were super thin crusts and I can honestly say I have never one as thin before. The crust was burnt and chewy, as it should be. We also enjoyed some side dishes, hen brodo soup, cheesy risotto balls, refreshing house made tuna salad and fried chicken. They were just delicious! Average pizza price is around $ 18. The atmosphere is bustling and informal, with closely spaced seating. The music is on the hip side. Service was friendly and attentive, despite the bustle of the place. But it’s all about the food. A line to get in started forming early in the dinner hour on Saturday and Sunday. If you’re in the area and crave a good Naples style pizza, or any of Delfina’s other well prepared dishes that start with premium ingredients and you don’t want to break the bank, you’re in the right place.
