I am not writing a bad review because I have gotten great haircuts from a lady named Lisa Li here. I came in today and found out she had left. Then I had to search and i found her working at Broadway Salon on Broadway in Burlingame. i was so happy to find her again. She has been cutting my hair for years and I could not have been happier. To the owners of Roobiks you may want to consider getting her back. She is a nice lady and very good stylist. Thanks Roobiks and Thanks Lisa

Hi. I have been going to Lisa here for years because she always does such a great job! Recently Lisa moved around the corner to a new place at 1800 Magnolia. They even have foot baths there! Roobiks offers good standard cuts, but I will follow Lisa to Burlingame Hair & Nails because she is simply more personable and caring than most other people that have ever cut my hair.

An update for pricing… it now costs $ 20.00 for a men’s hair cut. Overall, this place is good and I am relatively happy with the end result(i’ll talk about that later). I went in to an empty store and was immediately greeted by Sue. She began to ask for my desired hair cut when she was interrupted by a return customer who dropped by to say«hi». This was a good sign. She followed my directions when cutting my hair(1 reminder was needed) and she tried to get to know me. She«man handled» my head during her meticulous hair cut, however, I didnt mind it as long as she was taking her time and focusing on the task at hand(which it seemed she was doing). It took a long time for her to cut my hair for a relatively simple«order», but she was taking her time and the end result was good. No stragglers or random long hairs. There was an error upon i noticed upon looking when i got home but it wasn’t very noticeable. TL;DR: good place that keeps their clientele close. Sue cuts your hair with precision. Kind of on the expensive end.

After visiting here many times, I found some excellent hair designers. Martin working on Saturday is the best, Sue working except Monday is okay. On the other hand, I do not want to have a Chinese lady cut my hair again. It’s $ 20 now.

After shopping at Lunardi’s, I walked by this place next door and walked in. I was greeted by an Asian lady by the name of Lisa. She was friendly and I gave it a try. She listened carefully to what I wanted(a flat top with high fade and number 0.5 clip and as short as possible on top). She repeated my instructions to ensure she and I were on the same page. Her English was not the greatest but her comprehension was good enough to give me the exact hair cut I wanted. Her charge was very reasonable considering the locale(Burlingame). I gave her a good tip since I planned to go back to her again next time.

An over all disappointing experience. I needed a quick trim before work and I noticed Rubik’s Cut was close by. The first thing that should have warded me away was the complete lack of customers, it looked like a elementary school gymnasium with office chairs and beauty mirrors placed randomly around the room. Some woman called me over to a seat in god knows what language and proceeded to shave away the sides of my head DISPUTE my repeated telling her not to. She then ignored my further requests regarding the hair still clinging for life on top and the awkwardly uneven shaved hair on the back of my neck, insisting that she knew what I was asking for would not look good on me. My hair is pretty fine and very soft so when it is cut with clippers it sticks strait out and I look like a goddamn chia pet. I doubt this woman had any type of formal training because she scraped my neck dozens of times with her shaver and comb leaving red marks and a few cuts. I CANNOTSTRESSENOUGH how pathetic this salon is. Please for the love of god do not come here unless you want to spend $ 20 to be asked how short you want your hair shaved. Buy some clippers and save yourself the pain and embarrassment of a sliced neck and uneven cut. WHYDID I EVERGOHERE? :(

A cut above SuperCuts, so to speak, but in the same price range. I’ve not had to wait here, and they’re open Sunday, so this has become my haircut of choice. So far, good results each time.

Decent place for a quick cut. I go here every couple of months. I wouldn’t go out of my way if I were you, but if you need a simple cut this is the place. A plus: the ladies that work here have always been friendly…

One of the cheaper places to get a hair cut if your in the Peninsula. Last time I was there it cost me 16 bucks. The place does not take reservations, so if your in a hurry don’t count on speedy service. Stay away from the younger stylist /barber’s bc Rubik seems to hire folks straight out of beauty school. The older ladies who cut there arent bad at all, but kinda have a gloom and doom attitude about there job.
