Serra Design Inc. is proud to offer you, the Interior Design professional, collectively in the workroom over 150 years of upholstery expertise. From frame building, cutting, sewing and upholstering right down to the last «hand stitching» of the skirt. Including over 40 years years of design and manufacturing expertise in the fabrication of custom upholstered furniture myself.

Process:

The process begins with understanding your clients needs and presenting working solutions to you the design professional.

Additionally we offer our own line of furniture, which can be adjusted by any 1″ increment to accommodate you specific needs.

We begin your project with a CAD drawing and work with you through to the completed pieces of furniture..

Environment:

It is our commitment not to use old growth timber. Our furniture frames are constructed with renewable sustainable hardwood, utilizing timber grown for this purpose. We use many Green products in the construction of our furniture as well.

History

Established in 1984.

We started making upholstered furniture workroom on the peninsula to be positioned to accommodate our clientele from Silicon Valley to San Francisco and points in the East Bay. We felt strategically this location right off the Broadway exit on 101 would be a mid point destination for designers traveling to the San Francisco Galleria Design Center.

As Founder, Principal Designer and Creative Director I felt a strong urge to express myself artistically through this furniture medium. Daily I do not feel I am at a «Job» but able to render a product that is not only aesthetically pleasing but comfortable to live on.

I am always looking for ways to make design improvements, and we are quick to have them implemented in our furniture.
