For over 37 years, Frameworks Picture Framing has served Boston’s northern suburbs with a commitment to personal service and good value. We are not a franchise; we are proud to be independently owned.

Our friendly and knowledgeable team — with over 200 years of picture framing experience — will work with you to get or exceed the results that you are looking for.

In addition to offering fine custom framing, we also offer a Do-​It-​Yourself Workshop. We cut your materials, provide space and tools — and instruction.

History

Established in 1978.

Frameworks started with the simple idea that quality framing does not need to be expensive. By making available a wide range of materials and providing options from custom framing to a DIY workshop to ready-​made and ready-​to-​go frames, we have continually worked to deliver and build on that original idea for over 37 years.

Business Owner

I started at Frameworks as an employee — enjoying the creativity, materials, and customer interactions. In 1988 I bought the business and moved the store to its current larger location directly off ¹²⁸⁄₉₅ at Exit 33A (Rt 3 South).

I am particularly proud of my team. In many cases, we have worked together for over two decades. The total picture framing experience on staff is over 200 years. I also love the many materials and mouldings (with over 4000 samples alone) that we have available. With our depth of knowledge and rich base of materials, I feel that we are uniquely prepared to work with you to find the right way to frame and display your special art and collections.

We enjoy working with our customers and value the many relationships that have been built over the years. We look forward to working with you!
