This place is heaven! Great places for a first date. The service was amazing and the food was even better. I love how personal the store is. By far one of my favorite places in Burlington!

In a nutshell: Prepare to wait for food as the restaurant appears short-​staffed. However, you will not be disappointed when you get it.
My family of 4 ended up waiting around 40 mins for breakfast/​lunch, the place was not packed. In the interim, some dirty tables around us that never got cleaned in the time we were there. Not a huge issue for me, just pointing out that they seem very short-​staffed. We ordered waters and two coffees to start. In the 40 mins we waited, got coffee filled once. Mugs are large, but still… service needs improvement. The staff was not unfriendly or anything, just not enough of them in my opinion.
At this point, my wife and I are prepared to write this place off as a mistake, one we will not repeat.
Then the food came.
If I were rating on food alone, 5 stars easy. Everything was incredibly fresh, colorful, prepared correctly, and honestly, simply amazing. Portions are HUGE and prices are very reasonable. Seriously, best brunch I’ve had in a while. For the food alone, I would come back.

Bathroom review:
It’s a single-​occupancy bathroom. Spacious, dimly lit.
The floor is a gray tile, which is very attractive, with a nice rug on it.
The toilet is unassuming, with an empty box of seat-​covers above it.
There’s an overflowing garbage can on the floor next to the toilet, which would have been nicer closer to the door.
The sink is an old-​fashioned, wall mounted unit that looks like something out of a rest stop.
There’s an empty paper towel dispenser on the wall that I fussed with before realizing there’s a roll of paper towels on the table on the other side.
The art in there is wonderful. Real, serious bonus points for this.
There are two toilet paper rolls on the wall, and handlebars to get up with.
The soap dispenser on the wall is old and metal, with a store-​bought liquid handsoap placed on top of it.
On the way out, I had to backtrack through the room to throw the paper towel in the garbage by the toilet.
There’s also a mirror on the wall above the sink.

Best sandwiches in the valley hands down! Josh and Carrie are awesome and I’ve been eating here since they originally opened in Sedro Woolley.

Huge HUGE portions. This is almost a downside — I don’t know how anyone could finish one of these plates without being stuffed to the brim.
Also toast served with already melted butter — amazing experience. And the fresh jam was fantastic too.
BEST breakfast I’ve had in Washington.

What a cute spot! My husband and I stopped here to get some sandwiches to-​go for a picnic after reading some great reviews. Needless to say, the reviews helped us find one of our favorite little places in Burlington! I haven’t dined in yet, but we plan to soon either for breakfast or lunch. Their menu has a great selection! I had the Gobbler wrap and my husband had a make-​your-​own cold cut sandwich. Both were really good and HUGE, very filling for lunch. :) we will definitely be back!

I wish I could do more than 3 stars, but they aren’t quite there yet…
Stopped here for breakfast on a whim because I saw it was no longer a Sahara Pizza location, and noticed «Breakfast All Day» written on the windows as I drove by.
I wasn’t sure if it was self-​seating when I first came in, so I went to the counter and asked. The man working was friendly and said menus were on each table and that I could pick a seat. (He quickly came to my table with water.)
Their menu is enormous! It was definitely hard to decide what I wanted to eat because they are thorough with the descriptions and it all sounds yummy. The breakfast section alone was awesome (hello Grilled Peanut Butter, Banana & Honey Sandwich; you’re on my list).
The man came over after a few minutes (who I discovered was the owner) and sat across from me with a notepad to ask if I was ready to order because I «looked a little confused». Indecisive is more like it. I ordered an Americano and the Southwest Breakfast Panini w/​fruit.
My order took quite a while (and they initially forgot the side of fruit that comes with the sandwich) but I wasn’t in a hurry and realized it was just two of them running the show. He checked on me a couple times and apologized for the wait.
The biggest con for my experience was my coffee… Something was really nasty and off when I tasted it, and it was only somewhat warm (not piping hot like an Americano should be!). I told him and decided to get a drip instead. This wouldn’t have been so bad for a random restaurant, except that they have a full espresso menu, so I expected a proper Americano.
Anyways, to the food: terrific. Super fresh ingredients. Real, fluffy, scrambled eggs that were seasoned. Soft focaccia bread. Om nom nom.
The restaurant is owned and run by a husband & wife team who (you can tell) are working their tails off! Lots of respect for how calm they were during a little rush this morning. Room for improvement: part time server for the busy times to help them out, wi-​fi would be great, better coffee.
Don’t come here if you’re in a hurry or can’t show some empathy for the fact that they are short staffed. They’re trying, and they seemed like nice people. AND, he took the coffee off my tab before he brought it to me.
Do come here if you want some delicious and unique food options with a homey, laid back atmosphere and the classic rock station on the radio. :)

Sometimes service is a little slow (they get busy) so I like to call my order in ahead but they have great soup and sandwiches. They also steadily aim to please and its no problem to customize your order!

Great, innovative food, quality staff that’s friendly and helpful. Great local place. Everything is made fresh and it shows up in what comes to your table. Yes, it takes a bit longer, but if you want quality be patient. It’s worth it!
I will be a regular customer. Try the clam chowder. Awesome. The Cobb salad is a tribute to Bob Cobb and the Brown Derby, where this great salad was invented. Homemade gorgonzola dressing just makes it, along with the fabulous bacon. It’s always about the bacon!
Relax and enjoy some great food, priced right, good portions.

My toddler and I were in Burlington for the day visiting the Children’s Museum and needed an easy spot for a good lunch. I ordered the spinach salad with grilled chicken added, my daughter had a grilled cheese and chips. The one server was friendly enough, though definitely not looking to make friends. Our drinks came out quickly, but then we waited. Over half an hour. On a Thursday where there were only 3 other tables with people. When the food finally came out, they had forgotten the grilled chicken and the dressing. Once we got that squared away, the food was good, but not great. The chicken was super wet as if it had just been defrosted from the bag and without one speck of seasoning. The balsamic dressing was VERY tart– definitely not homemade. Other than that, the salad was fresh and a good portion. My daughter’s grilled cheese was average– one slice of cheese between two pieces of dry sourdough. She ate ¼ of it and we took the rest home. On the plus side, the location is convenient, it appeared clean and it’s very reasonably priced. We would return if we were in a pinch, but would definitely order something different and only go if we had plenty of extra time.

This place looks pretty unimpressive from the outside but all hidden gems like that I guess! The chowder was spectacular and the staff was really friendly and hospitable. The food was fresh and they even have gluten free options! My two year old loved their waffles! They have quite a large menu that will have something for everyone. They have a HUGE list of flavours of milkshakes. Bigger than anything I had ever seen. There must have been over 20! I would suggest a peanut butter and chocolate mix! Try this place out, you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

We were driving through Burlington and decided to stop for sandwiches. Both of our meals were good but not great– the service was good but slow. We weren’t in a big hurry so it was ok but could be a problem for some. It was really nice that the lunch meals come with potato salad/​chips or salad. Breakfast looked good and would be worth a shot to try!

Was in Burlington for a soccer tournament and was looking for a café style lunch. Found Hootie Tootie on Unilocal.The restaurant was what we were looking for and the food was awesome. Everything is fresh and delicious! Would recommend to everyone.

Stopped here because I was craving soup but ended up getting the veggie sandwich. It is so hard to find a good vegetarian sandwich and I never would have expected to find it on a street corner in burlington. I’m not picky about décor and I don’t need a waiter or waitress to hold my hand and tell me I’m important, if those things don’t matter to you either and you’re just looking for a good lunch, look no further.

I stopped here with my family on a Saturday morning. It was close to noon. I was excited that they served breakfast all day. We picked the last table that was big enough to seat the three of us, which was right by the front door. There were about 3 other parties in the restaurant. The place wasn’t as big as I thought it would be. It was really hot in there. It felt like it was about 85 degrees. I was glad we were by the door. We got our waters and menus right away. I also got my coffee right away. We placed our orders and waited. And waited. And waited. A table near us got their food, so I was hopeful that ours would be out soon. However, an older couple sitting across the room were still waiting, and they had been waiting when we walked in. Finally, after waiting for over half an hour, we finally got our food. I had to ask for more coffee. I hadn’t been offered a refill at all while I was waiting. My son’s order wasn’t exactly what he had ordered, but we didn’t want to wait for it to be fixed. I had ordered eggs benedict. There was a massive amount of hollandaise sauce on my plate, about twice as much as there should have been. It had a different sort of taste. My son told me that his waffle was really dry, and my husband said that the maple syrup tasted questionable. I’m not sure what that means, and I didn’t ask. As we were finishing, I noticed that the couple across the room finally were getting their food. I couldn’t believe how long they had to wait! There was only one server, and he was heavily tatooed and not very friendly. He never checked on us once. My husband said that we would probably never go back. Overall, terrible service and not great food. On a positive note, the bathroom was cute!

I just had the best panini sandwich that I’ve ever had in my entire life. Burlington is blessed with this amazing couple. They are so amazing. The biscuits and gravy are the best quality and best price In town, I won’t be surprised if they become burlingtons favorite restaurant. We ordered delivery and we were so happy to see how amazing the sandwiches truly look. They are HUGE! The meat is the best quality, the bread is top notch. So amazing, will be returning again and again!

It was 11:30 and when asked if I could buy lunch, a customer of mine in Burlington smiled and said I know just the place! An associate and I followed his pickup north to old town on E. Fairhaven, parked on the street and walked in to a little restaurant/​Deli with maybe 6 or 8 tables. Painted on the main street windows were bold announcements that breakfast was served all day and a sandwich board sign stood just outside the door proclaiming famous clam chowder.
We sat at an open table Inside this warm cozy place and noted the lunch menu under the glass at each table. Various sandwiches and wraps were described in detail and each ingredient description so delicious sounding that I couldn’t decide between the salami smothered in melted pepperjack cheese, peppercini peppers and tomatoes or the Hot pastrami Reuben style. I finally ordered the whole salami sandwich with panini bread that was available in half or whole portions (half of this behemoth would have been plenty) and on the side of this gastronomic delight that flowed cheese oozing like lava was my choice of soup (clam chowder, chicken noodle or sweet tomato basil. I decided on the tomato basil which paired well with the meal. BTW, the chowder looked thick and chewy, abundant with clams. That is mine next time for sure. As noon approached the room became busy and full with hungry guests of all ages. This husband and wife team were working hard to keep up with the cooking (her) and table service (him) but they did a commendable job.
Frosty cold Coke products are served in the can along with tall glasses of ice water. Another sign by the kitchen touted world famous milk shakes. After seeing the portion sizes of each meal, I wasn’t even going to consider ordering my favorite chocolate milkshake! My associate was ogling a ginormous omelet at another diners table and decided on eating breakfast for his lunch. When his meal arrived, every thing in the kitchen that conceivably could be folded inside 3 eggs was there except for the golden hash browns nestled next to the cheddar cheese covered omelet. This was the full meal deal along with 2 thick slices of sourdough toast and raspberry jelly topping it all off. Dan is a large man that enjoys his groceries and he bailed before finishing his feast.
Yes, we will return. Try this place because its a treat worth parallel parking for!

Stopped in for lunch. They had a lot of choices for lunch. I tried the grilled Pastrami Reuben with a cup of split pea soup. The sandwich was fantastic. Extremely generous portion of pastrami. I have a big mouth and it took extra effort to open wide enough on my first bite. The service was excellent and friendly. They even had a classic rock radio station playing great tunes. This place is located right on the corner of Fairhaven and Spruce street. This is a great place for lunch. The sign in the window says they serve breakfast all day open 0900am-6:00pm. Give them a try. I was glad I did.

A friend and I tried this place on a recent visit to Washington. It’s a bit off the beaten path but was a worthwhile lunch stop while we were out antiquing and avoiding the detours on I-​5.
The food was great and so was the service. Nice menu selection of sandwiches. They offer a half sandwich with choice of side which is great since the sandwiches are HUGE. The milkshakes looked good but we were too full to try one. Maybe on the next visit.
