NC Jelly Donuts — best donuts in the area… outstanding. They put Dunkin & Krispy to shame. :-)

Love the owner here– such a nice lady! Donuts are large and extremely affordable. Filled donuts are made on spot and there is always an abundance of cream/​jelly in every donut.
FYI: There is a $ 3 card minimum here.

I should have taken a photo of my doughnut. Really, it was HUGE! A coworker brought these into work and I had the raspberry jelly filled doughnut. It didn’t lack in size or in filling. In fact, I made it about ¾ of the way into it and I was stuffed. That didn’t stop me from finishing it of course. We don’t have a NC Jelly in Greensboro, but we do have Donut World and they are amazing as well. I’d love to have a doughnut taste off between them because I was definitely impressed. I need my coworker to buy doughnuts more often.

The best donuts from variety too quality. They even fill them in front of you. The prices are very reasonable too. Give them a try you’ll love them.

The doughnuts in this place are out of this world amazing! Number one they are gigantic! My fiancé and I got a dozen donuts and they needed to use two boxes just to fit them all. The dough was just the right amount of dense and fluffy to make a fabulous doughnut. Then if you want a doughnut filled with something they do it right there for you, so you know it’s all completely fresh! We have been in there quite a few times since our first visit and I plan on going back again and again!

Best donuts in town! The chocolate cake donut is my favorite! They beat KK and Dunkin anyday of the week!

SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL!!! these doughnuts from NC Jelly Donuts are outstanding. They definitely put ol’ Dunkin & Krispy to shame.
A little tough to spot if you’re not looking for it, this little family owned doughnut joint is in a row of strip shops, right beside WingZone & they turn out some pretty awesome doughnuts & massive apple fritters at a steal of a price.
A small place with about 6 tables available if you want to sit & have a doughnut & cup of coffee, but most folks I see, including myself, are getting boxes of these treasures to go. Super nice folks working behind the counter & running the place.
Any doughnut you order that has a filling, whether it be jelly filled, cream filled or custard, is pumped in at the time of order. Everything I have tried here is just magnificent from the Red Velvet to the Chocolate Cream Filled to the monsterous Apple Fritters. I haven’t tried their cinnamon rolls, but they look amazing & are the largest I have ever laid eyes on, they should call it a Cinna-​BOMB.
I ordered a dozen of these assorted treats to go…

…and they are so big they all wouldn’t fit in the box, the lady had to put 2 in a seperate bag & even threw in a cinnamon-​apple filled pastry as a free sample. All that out the door for a steal at $ 10.50, no way you get this quality of product & quantity at that kind of deal from the big chains.
If you’re around Burlington & looking for some bangin’ doughnuts, you should make a bee-​line to NC Jelly Donuts.

Hands down best donuts I’ve ever had! We live in Mebane, so that’s the store we go to (they are right off exit 153). I take my daughters there almost once a week. Not only are the donuts amazing, but the staff is super friendly and attentive. They don’t care if my 4 year old takes a long time to pick out her donuts and they always go to the back to put power on the donuts for my older daughter if they are out of powered donuts. If you like donuts with filling, they do that there, right in front of you so it’s nice and fresh. They have a wonderful selection of cake donuts. I love their old fashioned glazed donuts. I highly recommend them. They are also super reasonable in price. A ½ dozen, quality donuts is only $ 4.50. DD and KK are no competition for NC Jelly donuts.

I’m not sure I can enjoy Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts after eating these donuts. They are, by far, the best I’ve had on the east coast. Second only to Top Pot in Seattle. Don’t let the dumpy strip mall location fool you. Do yourself a favor and try these donuts.

I love donuts — and I love this place. We live in Mebane and NC Jelly Donut just opened here and it has been excellent. Great prices, very friendly staff, and most importantly, delicious donuts. Haven’t had one I don’t like yet. This will definitely be my go-​to place for donuts for a long time!

Blown away. Friendly staff. Awesome donut, apple fritter and cheese Danish. And when I was checking out the price almost floored me. Seriously ¹⁄₃ of what I was expecting and what other places charge. Amazing. Took an apple fritter home to my husband and was just as delicious 12 hrs later. Haven’t tested them out for day olds but I would bargain they are just as good the next day. Skip KK and DD…

Just had breakfast at the Mebane location in Kingsdown Commons, BEST DONUTS hands down!!! A must if you are wanting a GREAT pastry at an amazing price!

Hands down, NC Jelly Donuts has the B-​E-​S-​T donuts in Burlington. Skip Dunkin’ Donuts and drive right past the Krispy Kreme — you should go here. I’ve tried almost every variety of donut available here and haven’t been disappointed once. Their cinnamon buns and apple fritters aren’t just good… they’re mind-​blowingly good. Feel comfortable buying an entire dozen and taking them home. Their donuts will stay very fresh, indeed much longer than anything you’d get from the big chain donut shops. Their staff is always super pleasant, cheerful and helpful. To top if off, their prices are extremely reasonable and beat the other guys in town. Honestly, I don’t have a single bad thing to say about them! Go local with your donut purchases — support NC Jelly Donuts!

When I first came to NC in 2006 I was bummed at the complete lack of a donut culture. I’m from Los Angeles County, a place with 1000 donut shops, most of them independent. There’s a donut place on every corner generally serving fantastic donuts and truly awful coffee. Up until last week, the only place to cure my longing for a true California-​style donut had been Donut World in Greensboro. Now, with the arrival of NC Jelly Donuts in Burlington, donut nirvana is just that much closer to my abode in Durham.
The first time I drove by NC Jelly Donuts, I knew that it had to be run by California transplants. Most of the donuts in NC are made by Krispy Kremes and Dunkin’ Donuts, two places that tend to ship in their donuts on trucks (with the general exception of KK’s glazed donuts). In California, donut chains have a hard time staying in business because of all the independent donut shops that beat them in flavor and price.
I walked into NC Jelly Donuts and recognized that California donut smell. I saw the case and based on the high ratio of cake donuts, I knew I had come home. I ordered the largest apple fritter I’d ever seen in my life and a maple-​glazed cake donut topped with peanuts. I paid $ 1.95 with tax. As I was paying I cut to the chase and asked the owner if she was from California. She said «yes» and added that she worked at her uncle’s donut shop in California for 20 years.
Back to the donuts. Along with being the largest apple fritter I’ve ever held, it was the crunchiest and tastiest. I couldn’t eat the donut right away. When I got to it a few hours later, I was blown away by its simultaneous crunch and softness.
It’s a good thing that I carpool most days. Otherwise I’d be at NC Jelly Donuts every day.
