I had a bad experience at the Valvoline on Mall road, but I figured, probably just a single store issue.
NOPE. I had another BAD experince with the people in Burlington too. They lie to the customer trying to up sell to thier most expensive synthetic oil. Fooled me the 1st time, but when I challenged the lie, the great customer service oriented guy ARGUED with me…
I don’t mind the attempt to sell a higher value product, but telling out right lies and then arfuing with a customer when challenged… Not a tactic that builds trust and brings customers back.
A real shame a good Brand name like Valvoline is getting ruined by poor sales training and the use of out right lies.

This quick lube shop can be a bit pricey, but I give them props for accepting competitors coupons (up to $ 10). My service has always been super fast and friendly, and I never felt pressured to go with the up-​sell product.
Because I drive a clunker, on several occasions the mechanics here have pointed out minor issues that I should have checked out (leaky gaskets, old hoses, etc). Since Valvoline doesn’t sell any of those iservices, I knew they were sincere in their concern for my vehicle.
Last time I noticed they have free wi-​fi. I guess this wouldn’t be pertinent if you were going in for a fast oil change, but if you have to wait for other services you can surf the web.
