Q Nails

I have just recently moved to Burnsville and needed a new mail salon because I’m a little obsessed with getting my acrylics done. Week before I got my nails done at a salon in Wayzata and they were already peeling and falling off (gel) so I decided to give this place a try. I was so pleased. I made an appointment and they kept to the time and got in right as I was scheduled. The staff was nice and smiling, the place was clean and very relaxing. Loved the décor!!! My nails look beautiful and Linda did an amazing job. The place is on the higher price range but you get what you pay for! I am for sure come back in 2 weeks for my fill again.

This is definitely the nicest nail place I’ve been to in the area. It’s very clean, with high ceilings and neutral décor so it doesn’t feel cramped like a lot of salons. The staff is always friendly and do a great job, and they even wear matching «uniform» shirts, which I think makes it feel more professional. When buying a salon gift certificate for a friend, I always come here to give them more business and I know my friends will be well taken care of!

The salon is extremely clean and they autoclave the instruments prior to using them for each individual customer.
The technicians are friendly, courteous, and polite.
I went to Mindy and am now with Lin. I am TOTALLY satisfied with her, She does a perfect mani/​pedi for me every time, and is very accommodating.
Q nails is the best — and I’ve been around!
I don’t understand how someone can berate this salon, as a previous client did. If they were so bad why did she go to them for 5 years? and why just once a month?
Also I don’t think they overcharge. They are comparable to other salons.

I absolutely love Q nails! Lynn is one of the sweetest, most compassionate people that I’ve met. I I’ve been seeing her for several years for my nails & highly recommend her talent. She is a true artist at what she does. We have become very good friends. Further, I would recommend any of the wonderful people that work there as well. It is a relaxing and enjoyable visit that I look forward to.

Maia here! The girls@ the salon know Me… So read on and understand what I am saying not only to you but anyone who is thinking of stepping foot into your salon. BEWARE!!! Q Nails short cuts the work and they will Over charge You!!! It’s all about quantity and NOT quality here! And I agree with the previous posting that they paint nails well but that’s Absolutely it!
I once inquired with Aimee about doing an almond shaped pink and white overlay with a pointed pink arch, which I even showed her three images on My IPad… She said she could do it for Me, well I arrive for My appt. and sure enough Aimee doesn’t have the proper tool to complete My pink point… So I have a different tech work on My nails. Now as I am in the chair with a different tech, I hear Aimee speaking in her language to My tech in a hostile tone, with attitude out loud… I say to My tech, «Why is she upset, she assured Me she could do My nails a certain way and she can’t so why is she complaining@ you?» So it was My fault Aimee lied to Me and claimed she could do a job she most certainly could not??? Yes, they carry themselves in this manner!!! Appalling isn’t it…
Don’t set an appointment cuz they will NOT hold it… I had a 10AM appointment with Lin and@ 10:04 AM, I walk in and she just began someone else’s nails! What??? She tells Me twenty minutes… Really?! I leave as this was absolutely Unprofessional! And the Final straw for Me coming here!
I had been coming to Q nails once per month every month since 2010 for a full pink and white overlay and am letting you know the service and techs quality has diminished. Had I experienced a pink and white set anywhere else I would have known I was being cheated on My services a lot sooner…
Spending $ 100, yes ONE HUNDRED Dollars per visit ($ 25 just for a tip cuz I appreciate the service industry) for a simple pink and white overlay was justified when Mindy was there. She’s been gone over a year and I had been seeing Lin (the chair closest to entrance) for the last year. Nails were okay… I like My nails thinner, more natural looking since I have the length. Never had natural looking nails from Lin, real thick nails where you could see where she filled them in cuz they were hazy white in certain spots. She would always stop My appt. and answer phones, do waxing etc… I stayed cuz genuinely I thought she was sweet and did an okay job. Now I know the process and know better! So now you know how they treat loyal customers and gracious tippers…
Went to Epic Nails and saw Ken for a completely new set of pink and white overlay and WOW! His process was clean and efficient! Total cost was only $ 35!!! He did an acetone soak which Lin NEVER did when I would begin a complete new overlay. She would file them down with her tools (quicker process but not the proper way to remove existing gel) which was why My nails were so thick! Not only do I feel Q nails has been cheating Me for My Bill but they were short cutting on My manicure also! She was charging Me for her incorrect removal and splotchy fills ($ 75)!!! Not cool and shame on you girls for pulling that garbage on Me all these years! Kiss My Big Bill GOOD BYE!!!

Pretty disappointed. They can do an okay job but be careful when it comes to designs! The only thing they have mastered is solid colors. All I wanted was a fill and French tip manni. She didn’t fix the whites!!! When I asked her why she said it was because my nails grew out. Yeah no sh*t!and she wouldn’t paint over the tip saying I would have to replace my set with even more expensive nails.
So let me get this straight, they can give you a French pedicure no problem but when you want your tips painted white it’s a huge issue. NEVER stepping foot in there again! The only reason they get a second star is because the nails themselves are really nice, but their painting skills suck.

Lovvvve this place. I’ve been here a couple times; both with Mindy and she’s amazing. I drive out of my way to come here. They do such a fabulous job and it’s affordable. It’s great to know you can treat yourself once a month and not break yourself doing it. Check it out you won’t be disappointed. Btw– both times I had specific pics of nail art I wanted that appeared complicated but Mindy delivered!!! Love my toes!
