Slumberland Furniture

Not a good experience. Bought a custom leather sofa. Quality of work was terrible. Slumberland will only repair the stitching issues. Sofa took 6 weeks to be made and another 5 weeks for Slumberland to only repair it. Slumberland in my opinion has terrible customer service and Lazy-​boy has terrible craftsmanship. STAY AWAY from Slumberland in Burnsville. They DO NOT have your best interest kin their mind. I will never purchase another thing nor will I ever recommend them to anyone until I am 100 percent satisfied, which I do not believe for one minute they even care. We are just another dissatisfied customer.

Decent store. overpriced today prolly didn’t have any sales going on.
It was more traditional than contemporary furniture. Some trendy and chic pieces overall.
Doug helped me try a few chairs. Couldn’t find what I was looking for. no luck on magazine table though!

Worst customer service ever! Between the salesman and the manager they made several mistakes and blamed it on one other, not professional especially from the managers standpoint. I was patient and patient throughout the process but what is the icing on the cake is I wrote corporate and no one even called me back. I have never wrote a bad review on a company as I know everyone makes mistakes but this was absurd. I was the one calling them to try and see when my furniture was going to be here and to schedule another time to go to the store to tell them the correct furniture that I ordered as someone switched my coffee table
I went in on ³⁄₂₃ and ordered what was on the floor and decided just to get the couch and loveseat and order another glass coffee table i liked. I did a down payment and called back a week later to pay the remainder. Finally after waiting a month to get my furniture, the color was not what i ordered and they gave me the coffee table and end tables that were in the set which was not what i ordered. I told the delivery guys that and they said i could use the furniture they brought till i got my right stuff since i had already been waiting a month. I called and spoke to 2 different people and said I would need to call back tomorrow when the salesperson I worked with was in the office. that shocked me as why couldn’t anyone else talk to me. Still i said okay and waited for teh call the next day. When he called me he asked me to come in the next day to sort it all out so i went out of my way after work to go to the burnsville location. I said for all the hassle and me waiting and several things being wrong i wanted a discount. He said he would do $ 100 and I didn’t argue. Then we scheduled a delivery for the following friday. Well, the wednesday before i get a call saying now someone made another mistake and they cant deliver it till the following tuesday or they can deliver it that thursday but i would have to put the coffee table together myself. What a joke i thought to myself. I scheduled it for that tuesday and the more i thought about it the more i was like their customers do not matter to them. They barely apologized and keep blaming other people for their mistakes. I called back the next day and said i want $ 250 off total for all the time and everything that has went into this. They said best they could do was $ 150. After talking to several family members and friends they said they do NOT appreciate your business and that I should cancel and go somewhere else. I thought about it and thats exactly what I did. I really did want to start the process over again but I want a company that appreciates my business and treats me well. I ended up going to HOM and so far I have been treated well and overall I will save money which is actually nice. I have never complained or written a review on a company but i wanted to warn others as it was a complete disaster and I was and still am disappointed how everything went down and how I feel no one actually takes accountability. Oh and I forgot to mention they also overcharged me and now I am expecting their will be something else that goes wrong with getting my money actually returned to me!
Honestly the only pleasant experience was the delivery people they were both so apologetic. The ones who initially dropped off the furniture and then the ones who picked it up. They also apologized which was nice but besides that it has been one headache over another. I just can’t believe that It has been over 5 weeks and now i am back where I started with them. CAUTION if you decide to spend your money there is all I have to say!

I bought a bed here the sat before labor day ⁸⁄₃₀ and it was delivered the following Thursday ⁹⁄₄. I had to go back and get another bed as it was much too soft and was able to pick another and exchange quite easily.

However, the soonest they could deliver was the next Thursday ⁹⁄₁₁ which I agreed to. I get a call Tuesday saying they would have to reschedule for Saturday ⁹⁄₁₃ instead because the mattress didn’t end up on the truck. I was not happy but agreed once they said they would credit me back the delivery fee.

Today my mattress was supposed to be delivered… the truck pulls up with the box spring… but no mattress. They have no idea where it is. So they are saying he earliest I could get it delivered is Monday but it will probably be Tuesday ⁹⁄₁₆ if they can find it!!!
I talked to a sup Rick who apologized and offered me a 100 gift card; but after all this hassle I don’t think that’s good enough-​especially since there is hardly anything at the store that’s under 100! Even the pillows are 99!
I am still waiting to hear back from them if they found it or not and the timeframe of when it is going to be delivered. I will update this review when I get that information.
Don’t buy anything here unless you can carry it out yourself!!!

Bed couldn’t be delivered until Wed ! They upped the gift card to 150 when I talked to Rick on ⁹⁄₁₅. However the gift card didn’t get made until ⁹⁄₂₀ and I just got it today ⁹⁄₂₆. They also told me on ⁹⁄₉ that they would refund me the delivery charge and told me 7 – 10 days… it was just refunded ⁹⁄₂₄. I really wouldn’t have minded the almost extra week if they had been honest the first time and told me it could take up to 30 days. I will NEVER buy anything from this store again unless I can take it out to my car.
