A & G Repair Service

Crappy service. Rude phone rep and 2^nd rep that visited was bothered by questions. It has taken me 2 months to have my issues reviewed twice and the problem is still not resolved. I do not recommend their services at all and hope to find another company to resolve the issue.

The Company has HORRIBLE customer service! While the technician came out for the first service call timely, nothing after that was timely.
The service tech ordered a part at the beginning of June for an LG TV — we heard NOTHING from the company about what the status of the part was. When we called them their standard answer was the part was coming from the factory and they have no control over that. Waited another 10 days and called LG directly and they conferenced A&G in to the call. I guess it did some good because miraculously A&G called the next day to install the part.
So service tech comes out — middle of July and puts the new part in — voila — TV still does not work he has to order another part!!!
Today I call A&G to find out where the part is — notice middle of July to almost the end of September … I am told that they closed the ticket on ⁸⁄₃ because LG was going to handle the repair directly.(which turned out to be a lie) I ask who closed it — «oh, don’t know cause I can’t see the ticket any more since it is closed.»
So now I just spent over an hour talking to LG and they said that A&G closed the ticket, no one at LG closed it. So now, we have a TV that was a year old in April that hasn’t worked since April and it’s the end of September.
Also, LG told me that any technician can order parts and have them expedited from the factory which only takes a day. So now we are starting all over with a different repair company and you better bet I am going to tell them to expedite the part so we can finally get the TV working. Horrible customer service. Just horrible!!!

I would not recommend this company to my worse enemy. Greg is a very rude man. I received a call from him Wednesday Sept 2^nd a week after I called my protection plan for service. He than proceeded to have an attitude with me simply because my protection plan did not fax him the complete model number. In which he asked me if I could check for him. He told me it’s located on the back of my washer, well me being 5 ft 2 in. I could not move the front loading washer with the dryer on top of it. He was very upset about that. Sorry I wasn’t strong enough for you Greg. So he told me there was nothing he could do with out the model number, I stated «Sir I’ve waited a week for someone to fix my appliance could you come out to get the model number diagnose what’s wrong with my washer then if I have to wait another week that’s fine. And with his tone mean and attitude rude and horrible told me he did not have to take my call and that he was going to hang up on me. Before he hung up I asked so your hanging up and refusing to service my washer because I can’t move it for you? He then preceded to hang up on me.
Maybe you were having a bad day Greg but it was not my fault your a liar and a scam. I’ve reported you to home depot extended protection, Angie ’ s list and BBB

*Extremely* rude. Nicor Services dumped this company on me to repair a dryer. I will spare you my essay. The reviews from others mentioning the rude, beligerant man who calls are very, very true! His attitude was totally unprofessional and unwarrented. Who calls to inquire about a missing repair guy if they weren’t home? Apparently we were here if we know they didn’t show! The voicemail left by a lady that I returned immediately stated clearly that they may have been calling the wrong number. I wasn’t arguing over what might have just been a miscommunication. I was just trying to find out if someone was coming, and… he lost his mind! Throwing around weird and false accusations. Completely nutsy-​coocoo…

Greg, is a complete jerk. And has terrible customer service skills.
Prior to having his worker come to my house to repair my Haier washer (which was under warranty… THANK GOODNESS! I would never give A&G a cent of my own money… EVER), I received a message stating the time window that they would be coming by, but to call with any questions. I had a question, so I called. But never heard back. So I called again. Greg, was very short and rude with me. He stated that he said what he needed to in his first message and felt he didn’t need to return my phone call. Awesome, thanks for your follow thru.
After his worker came to my house to fix my washer, Greg promptly called to tell me I’m a liar, various other rude things and hung up on me. So I called back to let him know I didn’t appreciate being hung up on and I was going to follow up with Haier in regards to the service I received. Instead of realizing he’s a jerk and screwed up, he continued by saying I will get hung up on because I’m a liar and nobody does business with liars. False. I’m not a liar.
I’m on the phone with Haier now to tell them what crappy service this company offers.
I would NEVER recommend using them… EVER. If I ever need my washer serviced again, I will ask for a different company. I will not allow A&G into my home.

They came to my house and quickly repaired my TV at a very reasonable cost. The service man helped me take my 55″ Samsung off the wall, he then quickly identified some bad connections on a circuit board. Rather than charging me to replace a brand-​new board (which would have been a lot more $$$), he re-​soldered the bad connections. After testing to be sure it was fixed, he then helped me re-​hand the TV back on the wall. He was very prompt, friendly and courteous, and I would definitely use them again.

The owner of the company, Greg, was exceptionally rude and sarcastic to me. I had called to have my TV serviced for something we had done by the same company approximately two and a half years ago. Greg assured me they could order the correct parts for my TV since they already had the model number of the TV on a previous receipt. Low and behold they ordered the right part but incorrect for the model TV I had. Instead of apologizing, he was a complete jerk and told me I would have to wait an additional week for them to get the right part. After almost 2 full weeks of waiting from my initial phone call to them, they finally fixed my TV. In addition, he tells me the repair guy would come some time after 4 pm which ended up being 7 at night. To top it off, the repair guy made an attempt to ask me to dinner which made me super uncomfortable since I am a single girl living by myself. I would definitely think twice before calling this company!

They took my 57 in Samsung and replaced bad chinese made capacitors which made the TV faulty, and I had it back within a week. The price was fair, and I was treated exceptionally well. I see six bad reviews, which for a place that services hundreds of units weekly, that isn’t a bad number at all. It just goes to show that sometimes you can’t please everyone. Anyways, if your TV has an issue, come here.

The owner or the person who calls for appointment time was rude.

DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! Sporadically, I had no center channel from my Pioneer Elite AV receiver. Sometimes it was fine (or at least it seemed to be) and at other times not. So I brought it to this place for service. The man who greeted me was friendly and professional. I was told that the unit would be tested the following week, but it might take a couple of weeks to identify the problem because it happened inconsistently.
So I would not be without a surround sound, I purchased a new Pioneer Elite receiver. After a couple of weeks I called and asked the woman who answered the phone how the analysis was coming. She told me that the units are serviced in the order that they were brought and I should wait for them to call me. I asked for an approximate time frame and she refused. «We don’t do that. We will call you when we know what is wrong.» I asked to speak to the man that I first talked to and asked him for an approximation which he provided.
I waited for the call, but no call. So I called and was told that there was no problem with the unit so I should pick it up. (Why was’t I called?) When I arrived I was brought into a room where the technician had it on his work table. He was very nice and professional just as the man that checked the unit is. I explained that the new receiver worked perfectly, so the problem couldn’t be the other components or the cabling. But he found no problems. He asked me to let him know how the receiver worked after I tried it at home.
So I took the receiver home and switched it out with the new unit that was working perfectly. Turned it on an NO CENTER CHANNEL. I called and ask to speak to the technician. The same rude woman that refused to give me some idea of how long my receiver would be in service said loudly, «WHO IS THIS». Not, may I ask who is calling like any normal person would.
So I hung up and called back and said, something is not right. A guy told me to bring the receiver in, which I did. Immediately after walking in the door I was asked in an angry tone, «did the technician demonstrate the unit working properly?» Taken back by the rude manner of this punk, I responded «no». I followed with,“let me think about it for a minute”. To which he responded, Well, did he or didn’t he? Make up your mind!” He asked, in the same coarse way, «What did he do, just shoot the … with you?».
Then he brought me into the technical room to demonstrate that there was nothing wrong with the receiver. He was very demeaning and condescending to the technician: Did you or did you not show him that this receiver worked perfectly? Obviously embarrassed, The technician didn’t say a word. He demonstrated that the unit did work properly and sent me on my way.
Home again, hooked the unit up — same problem. I asked somebody that knows more than I about electronics for help. «Do you have the audio on your DVD player set to PCM, by chance?» I checked, and yes I did. I changed the setting and all is well and good now. $ 50 later, that was the problem.
I don’t fault A&G for not asking me about the audio settings, though that would have been nice. And the way the technician was treated. Terrible!
It is not possible to build a successful business treating customers like this. People do business with people. They will not do business with people they don’t like and the brat woman and punk guy are not likable. Perhaps they are married. they deserve each other.

This firm was sent to my residence to repair a Samsung Microwave/​Convection Oven that cost me a fortune. The clown they sent out could not even get it opened, so he stated he needed to take it with him to repair. They kept it for 2 and one half weeks and brought it back with the bottom damaged — all the way across. Also the lamp did not work and the door was loose. It is very clear that it was dropped. They will not fix the damaged they caused nor will they even acknowledge they did it. (they denied it), let alone give me some type of restitution. I am stuck with an expensive microwave that I cannot use. I have some photos and a video showing the damage.
**** DO NOT Ever USE these clowns**** I am calling Samsung and the BBB on these crooks.

This place is terrible!!! Dont trust them. I think they are scam artists n must have something going on with companies n getting paid to falsify claims for electronics. I had a warranty on my 50 in screen tv with Phillips (who are scammers too), and they came to pick up my one year old tv and took them 4 weeks to call me back! They waited till my warranty was up. which was almost at the end… and then called me telling me they can’t fix it, and Phillips don’t have the parts. plus they clamied there was liquid damage inside. So thankfully I had an extended warranty with Target, and after 3 months of giving me lies I decided to have Targets warranty team come check my tv out, for another opinion, and guess what??? NO LIQUID DAMAGE AT ALL!!! There was nothing of the sort when they pulled apart my tv right in front of me… I already contacted BBB on both of them, and they better stop making fraudelent claims because people like me don’t go without a fight! Avoid this place!!!(oh n I asked if they had proof of pictures) they said they don’t have them anymore, and gave me a run a round with that!

Toshiba said my 2−½ year old 55″ LCD wasn’t worth fixing, you proved them wrong. I never expected it to be fixed, let alone a quick turn around on my defective TV. The price was fair and sure beat dropping another thousand on a new TV. Your staff was very informative and keep me up to date on the progress. If I ever need to get another TV repaired, I bypass those that are in my town and head over to A&G.

I had warranty repair done on an Onkyo receiver. The repair took the amount of time they estimate– 3 weeks. Service was great and the repair is working fine so far. I chose them over other locations around the city since others felt a bit sketchy.

I took a Kenwood receiver for a diagnostic last week.
Although Im not having the unit fixed there (unit is old, too expensive) ’ the people I spoke with were very polite.
