I’m not sure what has happened to Leo’s. Maybe they have cut out quality for quickness. I have lived here all my life and Leo’s was the place to go for breakfast, it was fresh and homemade. I always order eggs benedict because it has always been my favorite whenever I have gone there. But this morning my husband and I ordered take out, we ordered 3 orders of eggs benedict, 3 orders of corned beef hash and the order came to $ 42.00.At first I was like that seems a bit much for that but I thought it’s always been good. We got it home, and I was soo disappointed and disgusted. First, the hash was a canned corned beef hash, probably hormel. You think that if your a breakfast place that they would make corned beef hash from SCRATCH. Second, the eggs benendict was horrible the eggs were hard as rocks, the english muffins were soggy and not toasted, the ham was a sliced deli ham not canadian bacon like it’s supposed to be. All in all very, very disappointed this a another home town restaurant that my family will not be going to anymore. It’s sad really that the locals can’t have a good place to eat with their families. So disappointed.I’ll have to go out of town to get a good breakfast…

The short and sweet of it: Affordable diner food in a good atmosphere — you can drink and(apparently) come late at night! My friends have been going here for many(30?) years and swear by Leo’s. It was my first time eating there with them. The cushioned booth seating fit our 5-person party with one sitting in a chair at the end. There are also tables. The atmosphere was light, clean and airy. We easily got a table on Sunday because we arrived around 11:15, after the church rush. My friends recommend the regular French toast and Italian omelette. I recommend the home fries; their version has potatoes cut into squares with hotness in the sauce. Not quite spicy but a pleasant kick, which I loved. The couple next to us got bowls of fresh strawberries and separate bowls of what looked like real whipped cream. The bill for 5 of us came to $ 60. I think that’s a great price for the amount of food we got. If I went back, I would definitely get a mimosa and a bowl of strawberries with cream on the side for the table. I enjoyed going to a place my friends have considered a Cape staple for so long. I’m more of a late night person than early morning person so I might try out their night hours sometime. Someone else recommended their steak tips with the home fries. After bar hours? Fun! Some of their hours listed in Unilocal were wrong — for example it said they’re closed on Sundays which they’ve never been — so I took a picture of their posted hours as an update. Hopefully it gets updated soon.

LEO’S! If anything sums up my childhood of growing up and living on the Cape, it is Leo’s Breakfast Restaurant. Buzzards Bay may have grown, but some gems never change. Oh my goodness. The years have come and gone but NOTHING about Leos has changed, not one bit– and I wouldn’t have it any other way, period. Growing up, my friends and I would go to Leos as there wasn’t much else for a teenager on Cape Cod in the winter time to do. Recently, I met up with a few high-school friends(we’re in our 30’s now) and grabbed some much needed Leo’s breakfast. The restaurant looks just as it did in 2002, not a table, chair, or coat rack had moved /been replaced /updated– I was glad! Their food is exactly the same, waitresses were as warm and inviting as I remembered. When I eat at Leo’s I know I am home. If you are looking for an «old Cape Cod» breakfast joint where you can eat your food, sip on your coffee, and enjoy hours long conversation with friends, THIS is the place for you. It is a gem, and if anything ever happened to this establishment I would be devastated!

Took a long time to get our lunch. Place wasn’t busy, either. We had fish and chips. We were served fish which comes pre battered and frozen. It was awful. French fries were soggy and greasy. Coleslaw tasted like it was from a pre made commercial supplier. The Place needs a good cleaning. Maybe breakfast is better?

Just okay had waffle which was not hot and tasted like bisquick. We had heard great things but its probably more about the local flavor than the flavor of the food

The food is good but the service is terrible. Whenever we call in a take out we get put on hold for long periods of time. The people who take our orders always seem annoyed that we are calling in. Perfect Example: We called in and were asked to hold. The woman put the phone down and never came back. We hung up after waiting for 5 minutes. When we called back 5 minutes after that the phone line was still busy. No one ever came back to the phone!!! The food isn’t that good that it out weighs the crappy service. Hey Leo’s now that you renovated the inside maybe time to renovate your staff!

Excellent food. There was a wait for Sunday brunch, however, quick turnover. Service was excellent and quick. Food was delicious.

Delicious traditional diner fare. Prompt friendly service despite the mob scene on July 4 at 9am. Can’t wait to go back.

Good food, at an affordable price. Coffee could be better, and it would be nice if they had cream for the coffee as well, but they only offer milk with it. Service is always quick, and waitstaff is friendly.

It was… okay. If you’re looking for no frills eggs and toast sort of items, then look no further!(My French toast was cold though, and my linguica was dry, but everyone else seemed to enjoy their food… Maybe I just had bad luck.) If you want something a little more., I don’t know, creative or thought out, there are many better choices on the cape. I was appalled that a seaside town would advertise a «crab omelette» that, upon further clarification, was actually prepared with imitation crab meat. Seafood salad and eggs just made my stomach turn. Service was inconsistent; went with a group of 9 that was split into 2 separate tables, which at first we all appreciated. Until we realized that my table had a very slow, albeit nice, waitress; about 3 minutes after we put in our order, the other table’s food was put. They were done eating before we even got ours, so they had to wait around for s while. Again, however, the waitress was nice. She was older. Ish.

Took over an hour to get regular scrambled eggs and bacon! Nothing special about the food. Regular diner quality. Wouldn’t come back.

Only thing good about this place is that they serve bloody Mary’s and mimosa’s. Went in on a Friday morning, not too busy, only 2 waitresses, Unfortunately, we had the worse out of the two. Sat down, asked for two mimosa’s and we were told, well, I’m too busy for that right now but I’ll be right back.(wait, what)?. She comes back with them within 10 mins. Now the wait for ordering food. Yup, 25 mins we waited to place a food order, though she walked by about 10 times telling us she’d be right with us. Meanwhile she’s going from table to table complaining on how busy she was(we don’t want to hear it, we just want to eat). Finally we got to order, we had eggs bene, and French toast and we both ordered a side of sausage. It was obvious that they put those sausages into the fryolator to heat them up, they were utterly disgusting. red potato home fries were bland, service was awful, place needs to be updated(it’s stuck in the 70’s).

I’ll give it 3.5 stars, needs to be refurbished inside and out, décor is old and faded, looks the same since I was a kid 15 year ago. On a happier note the breakfast was good, portion sizes were great and prices even better. Ended up with 2 coffees and 2 meals with toast and home fries for under $ 20. It was crowded but it’s seat yourself first come so at least you aren’t waiting at the door. I would give it another try next time I’m in the cape area.

This place opens after the bars close. Huge bonus points for that! Food is excellent. Huge fan of the streak tips and home fries. Very friendly wait staff, not much bad can be said for this place!

Went in today, even though this page says it was closed.(I guess they need to update their hours). It was so busy that we had to share a table with a very nice family.(not sure why the staff couldn’t separate the tables). The coffee was good and constantly refilled. The food was very good. Unfortunately our server did not hear my request for cheddar cheese in my omelet so I was given American which I don’t care for. I ended up having to eat it since I was very hungry and I did not see the waitress again until after the meal was finished. She was quite slow taking our check from us and there was a line of people at the door who could have easily used the one or two tables we were occupying. All in all a good meal at a decent price. The service just needs to be a bit smoother, although the people are extremely friendly.

Stopped in here on my birthday for breakfast and all I have to say is yum! I thought I had previously found the best place on the cape for eggs benedict — but I had NOT. Leo’s was the BEST, amazing and delicious. and best of all they serve momisas and bloody marys!

Great eggs, moist fluffy pancakes, excellent bacon, and all for a reasonable price! The place was packed when we got there this morning, and at first we were disheartened, seeing so many people leisurely reading their newspapers and taking cigarette breaks from eating. BUT– once we were seated, the waitress was attentive and prompt with coffee, etc… Cons: the décor leaves ALOT to be desired, and I can’t imagine when the carpet was last cleaned. Despite this, we will definitely go back because the food was good.

Well done breakfast here. Excellent potatoes were had as was just super linguica with the eggs. Just a perfect cup of coffee too for the days start. They do a tremendous business here for the breakfast crowd and there was nothing to be disappointed over.

Typical breakfast place. The décor was last updated during the Carter administration but it appeared clean and heck that’s what a good breakfast joint should look like right? Prices are reasonable the coffee was hot and the pancakes were great, will be back for sure.
