Dave’s Heating & Air Conditioning

Dave is absolutely fantastic I can’t believe I am just writing my review now. Two summers ago my A/​C stopped working. This was after other companies had come out to «fix» it, charge me hundreds of dollars, and then have it break again month after month. It was then that I called Dave. He came out the next day and took a look at the unit and he suggested replacing everything. He followed up quickly with a bid and gave me options in there since I wanted to keep the price as reasonable as possible while still getting everything the house really needed in an HVAC system. I ended up choosing the middle priced option. I got two other bids as well, but ended up choosing Dave because his bid was reasonable and I felt very comfortable with him.
Because it was summer and everyone was having A/​C problems and I needed a whole new system ordered he couldn’t do it the same day but he was able to get me on the schedule for about a week or ten days later (since the job was so big). He showed up each day when he said he would, he was respectful of the house and me, and I’m pretty sure he left the house cleaner than when he got there. The guys who worked with him were all incredibly funny and nice and respectful.
In the month or two after installation I thought I had problems with the A/​C unit, twice. I would call or text Dave and he would always respond back to me and calm my crazy. The first time I had been using the A/​C non-​stop and it iced over so he was able to text with me to assure me it was ok and tell me what to do. The second time, when I thought the A/​C unit wasn’t working at all he even came out to check on it the next day and I had just messed something up with the thermostat (i think, I don’t know all the proper HVAC words). Oops! But he was super sweet about it.
Two years alter and I am super happy wth the HVAC system as a whole. I still get so excited every time I see the extra closet space I have since Dave moved the furnace to the attic… one day I’ll paint it and put shelves in.

Dave was nice enough to tell me, over the phone, what my problem might be with my central a/​c. He gave me the correct info and fixed the problem without even coming to my house or asking for any money. I’m sure he can’t do this for everyone, but it was simple enough that he could do it for me. My A/​C went out on an exceptionally hot day and I called Dave’s to see if he could come out that day. Unfortunately, he was out on another appointment and not able to come rescue me, my 7-​year-​old twins and our 2 mutts. It was Friday and I was NOT looking forward to an entire weekend of sweltering heat. But Dave came to rescue on Saturday morning at 7:00! He arrived on time, was super courteous and didn’t try to take advantage of my complete ignorance of all things A\C related. I wouldn’t hesitate calling him again or recommending him to others!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dave was available EARLY on a Saturday morning, I found him here on Unilocal when my unit crashed. He came quick to fix my A/​C and was very reasonably priced. He knew what the problem was before he opened up the unit, he knows his stuff! I would highly recommend him.

This guy is one heck of a mastermind when it comes to A/​C Units! I was experiencing some trouble not having sufficient air blowing into my master bedroom at my condo. So I called up Dave, and there was Dave to the rescue. He began by asking me all sorts of questions, which lead me to truly appreciate and really admire him because I know people like Dave are extremely hard to find (Reliable and Honest).
Long story short, I was able to resolve the issue with some tips and tricks from Dave, an hour after my call with him, I saw that my room was down 7degrees cooler :)
I strongly recommend him to anyone experiencing any type of issue with their air handling units or heaters. Definitely going to share his contact info with all of my friends and family! He saved me tons!

Dave’s Heating and Air is a reputable company. I have used them for both fixing my air conditioning unit as well as maintenance on my heating unit and they have exceeded my expectations every time. Also tells you what options there are for upgrades when useful while never pushing a sale or any unneeded repairs. Dave is a lifesaver. When we were hit with the recent heatwave in SoCal my 25 year old system decided to take a dump. Dave and his son Michael came out within hours of my call despite having a full load, diagnosed the problems (there were several) and fixed immediately. He gave me good guidance (I vetted it on the internet with lots of research) and got me back up and running within a day. He’s plugged into other contractors (in our case an electrician) to assist in the job being done properly. When we recently had a failure not related to the fix (in the low voltage section) he came by immediately and repaired the problem. Had us back up in hours as the temp outside soared to over 100. He understands the customer’s needs and is sensitive to the situation. In other words, he won’t sell you a bill of goods. Have used him before to replace the blower on my furnace unit last year. Same treatment. I feel totally comfortable using him and highly recommend him.

Short Story — My A/​C wouldn’t stop running and my house wouldn’t cool down. I contacted Dave for a system check-​up/​tune-​up and he was available very quickly. He and his son Michael arrived at my home and immediately went to work. Professional, clean and courteous! They tuned up my A/​C and also determined that I was low on refrigerant, which is why my house wasn’t cooling down.
Fast and efficiently, they fixed my A/​C! They are like angels helping those of us residing in the hot west San Fernando Valley!
