my friend and I purchased a Groupon for a facial here. We called and emailed no less than 6 times each to try to set up an appointment and no one ever responded. We got our money back. Don’t bother.

I was, sadly, taken in by the false promises of the owner, Rochelle, that she would make up for a cancellation and closure with no notice, and that she had closed because of a serious plumbing problem, but would soon reopen. She implored me to upgrade my Unilocal review because it was hurting her business.
I did that based on her representations.
The purpose of a Unilocal review is to convey impartial information to other consumers. So, that is what I am doing here: if this place reopens, it will be a shock, but even in that case, the owner is a completely dishonest businessperson, who cannot be trusted.

I bought a special for 3 facials, and when I went to book my second facial, I found the place closed with an eviction notice on the door. If anyone hears that they are reopening or if there’s a different location I’d love to know.

* NOTE: This Spa is now CLOSED. No surprise there.
First of all, signage is confusing. Signs at this location say AI MediSpa (and after a little research I discovered this was indeed The Oaks Spa) so I drove right past it — scanning Old Topanga Rd for a ‘nice spa looking’ place, pulled over, double checked address/​GPS and turned around.
Photos on Unilocal are all ‘generic’ spa photos and none of the actual facility. I would be very interested to see the interior & treatment rooms, because it doesn’t look like much on the outside.
We had (pre-​paid deal) appointments for ⁹⁄₁₉ and the place was locked up. I see others had an issue with closures due to the plumbing repairs, however the signs when we arrived said they’d reopen on ⁹⁄₁₉. After waiting in vain ½ hour past appointment time and getting no answer to phone calls, we left.
I received no call or email at all regarding the closure (despite them having my info & confirming), and phone is still not being answered.
*Update: I did receive a very unprofessional voicemail a day or two later. I have no intention of ever doing business with this spa.

I had to kill 3+ hours in Calabasas and noticed The Oaks Spa. Barbara welcomed my walk-​in and made massage appointment in half-​hour. While waiting I was offered beverages and was entertained by light and meaningless conversation — exactly what I needed. :)
Massage started practically on time and I was impressed with tranquil atmosphere at the salon and masterful massage techniques. I felt like a newborn after one-​hour session. Everything was the way I like.

Horrible customer service. Went there on ⁸⁄₁₅ for a massage and facial (conejo deal). Waited 45 minutes for the massage. After massage waited an hour and facialist still was not done with another customer. Receptionist offered to re-​schedule, so was out 2 hr and 45 minutes of my time for an hour facial. Went today for the facial only to find they are CLOSED and have been EVICTED according to notice on door. No phone call and I drove 40 minutes and took off early from work. I have left 3 messages as their phone answering machine still picks up. I am out the money and my time and have nothing good to say about this place.+

My wife scheduled me for a massage treatment on Sunday, we got the Email confirmation and all, I parked at the address, no sign of the place. Called many times but with no success. I confirmed the address with the next door vendor and drove around the place for 20 minutes… Nothing.

I usually don’t get facial or massage, but I had couple of hours to spear before a meeting in calabasas, so I decided to get a massage, great relaxing environment, great massage, they offered me the package deal so I got a facial as well, my skin was fantastic for a whole month, so I decided to make this a habit, definitely recommend this place.

Literally the best facial I’ve had in a really long time. Ask for Mia. She is seriously old school and knows her stuff. She dug in deep and cleaned my face like it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. She has motivated me to get them more regularly. The place is lovely and the staff are extremely nice.

I went to daily method and saw the spa and got a facial it was very relaxing and the staff were all very sweet. I highly recommended it.
