At a very young age I was very fortunate to see some of the masters of magic perform. The first two magicians I ever saw perform on television was Mark Wilson and Dai Vernon who performed on Wonderama hosted by Bob McAllister, one of my favorite childhood shows. In fact I dedicate one of the tricks in my show to Bob which children and adults absolutely love.
My father took me to see my first live magic show in New York starring Doug Henning who appeared on Broadway in the 1980’s in The Magic Show. I think my favorite magic show of all time was also in the 1970’s at the Felt Forum featuring the chilling master of illusion, Richiardi Jr. That show featured about 5 more magicians including Dody Wilton. I don’t recall the names of the other performers and I no longer have that Playbill but the show was absolutely incredible. Another amazing master I saw was the Indian master Imam who performed at The Magic Townhouse.
