When you cross the border from US to Mexico,
You need to consider two things.
Which are Mexico Auto insurance and FMM
(Mexico Visa).
When you want to drive your car in Mexico,
you have to purchase auto insurance before you
pass the border line. (Mandatory)
You can purchase auto insurance near the border but
you can purchase Mexico Auto insurance from some
internet websites such as


etc.
(Mexico Auto insurance is between
$ 20 to$ 30 per day based on your car value)
Also, when you visit Mexico for business trip,
you must get FMM (Mexico Visa) at the Mexico immigration office.
If you stay less than a week, you don’t need to pay for visa fee but if you want to stay more than a week or
you have plan to visit Mexico several times within six month, you need to pay visa fee around $ 20.00 at the bank.

When you cross US border from Mexico by cars
you can choose three different lanes such as
Sentri (Gast lane but You need to apply this permit in advance), Ready Lanes, and general auto lanes.
Border is very clouded Friday and Holidays.
Try to avoid rush hour, Friday afternoon and holidays.
When you meet immigration officers,
you need to give your passport or
related document and then follow their instruction, sometimes they request to open your trunk or roll down windows.
When you cross the border you can take
highway 7 North and then you can take freeway 8.
