Good atmosphere and great food. I just wish they were open on Saturday.

Get the Manhattan. It’s an orgasm in a sandwich. Jesus Christ.

Amazing sandwiches, fresh ingredients and a pleasant surprise from the areas normal dining options. My reuben was stacked high like a true NY sandwich and grilled perfectly. Can’t wait to go back and try one of their desserts.

Good sandwiches, great dessert. Service and attitude can be spotty. The Robert Redford pie and Turtle Cheesecake are essential for the visit.

We were looking for a simple late lunch as we rolled off the Interstate. Christian & Jake’s looked like a potentially interesting alternative to the chain restaurants that surround it. Boy did we luck out! For the vegetarian, there was an impressive number of choices. For the non-vegetarian, selection was also good. I had the pastrami Ruben, which had a very satisfying mound of pastrami surrounded by plenty of sauerkraut(topped by melted cheese — which was a little strange). The vegetarian had the tuna salad.(Ingredients: generous scoop of tuna salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado slices, fresh lettuce.) Good food at a very reasonable price and we went away, two happy diners. The bottom line: basic healthy food at a good price, done well. That deserves five stars.

Traveling from Florida to Indiana and saw this place on here. It was 10 times better then any road food in the area. I ordered a French Dip(not on the menu) Wife had the chicken club and Daughter the Cuban. Everything was outstanding. I got the Robert Redford Cream Pie for dessert and daughter got Carrot cake. The server forgot the Mac Salad but was crushed when he realized it so I’ll let him slide. A little pricy but you pay for what you eat!

Great stop for travelers who want to sit down for a few. Huge selection, tons of vegetarian options(that AREN’T just salads), and giant portions. Prices range around $ 7/person, which is super affordable for quality and quantity. All around a great stop!

This is a great stop on a road trip. They were pretty busy when we got there so it took about 10 minutes to get seated. The servers are hustling, bussing, seating and serving. Despite their busyness, the staff was very friendly. The bread is clearly homemade and amazing. I ordered the Newport which was ham and potato salad on onion bread. It was truly delicious. Hubby had a salad and a pimiento cheese bacon melt. Very tasty! They had a whole page of vegetarian options that looked great. They had a dessert case full of cakes and pies… Robert Redford pie looked amazing. I resisted bc I was full. It was hard

Ate here have to say it was a great lunch stop. The Georgian was very good when I got it on onion bread. Chips had no selection just ruffles not a healthy option

Cozy, upscale bistro in the heart of downtown. I had the daily special of French dip with aujus and it was a very generous portion for 8.99. I could not eat it all. I look forward to trying other dishes here as the other plates being delivered to other tables looked good as well. The cheesecake display up front was nothing short of cheesecake factory standards!

First, let me say that the food is great. I enjoy eating here very much. The problem is that their hours are not consistent. I understand that they are closed on Friday nights and Saturdays because of their faith… not a problem. I have eaten here 4 times, and it was great. I have attempted to eat here three other times. They were closed on two different Sundays for personal reasons(illness and a wedding). They were closed on a Monday night. I didn’t bother to go to the door to find out the excuse this time. I will never again make plans to eat there. The hours are too inconsistent, regardless of the reason.

Good alternative to the fast food alley of The Highway 53 exit in Calhoun. Very popular with locals. Specialize in up-scale sandwiches and soups, with large portions. Good selection of hot teas. Friendly staff, but can get busy at lunch. Great selection of desserts.

Giggidy. What a phenomenal place. Possibly the best sandwich spot in the state I’ve been to in the past few years. Literally heaven for a vegetarian like myself(especially for a sandwich aficionado like myself). I’ve driven by this exit on I-75(exit 312) literally hundreds of times over the past year and have never thought to stop in(even though I’ve heard great things about it from peers and have read the glowing Unilocal reviews). I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened up the menu and saw nearly a page of vegetarian options. From faux chicken to faux bacon to fresh veggies — they had all their herbivorous bases deliciously covered. I ordered the veggie chicken BLT on wheat. Priced at $ 6.95 with a side of chips and a pickle spear, it was quite the value. I informed my waiter that I was in a bit of a rush and the sandwich literally came out within 5 minutes(major kudos goes out to their wait staff for the prompt service). The sandwich was huge — definitely enough to fill you up for lunch. I loved the faux chicken and faux bacon that were on the sandwich — they definitely didn’t skimp on the quality of their artificial protein. The soft wheat bread that it came on was as fresh as the rest of the ingredients in this mouth-watering sammich. I absolutely cannot wait to return to this spot. If you’re a vegetarian and in the area, you’d be a fool not to stop by this place

Best little deli in Georgia! I have to say, I have never had better sandwiches other than in New York. This place rocks. The«manager» who you all called names, is one of the nicest, friendliest women I’ve met. Give her a chance. She’s the grandmother of the boys whose name is on the marquis and she is not too healthy. She is doing the best she can for them to make them a success here, as they are in Dalton, GA. She has patience and if the person she fired is the one I’m thinking of, she was justified! Just go in, sit down and enjoy your ginormous servings and not so ginormous bill at the end. The service is great even if there is only one girl there. She’s a doll.

Good food BUT every time I have eaten here, the older woman at the register is atrociously rude. I once asked her about the picture she had on the table to just make small talk & see If I can see a different side of her, nope. We recently ate here for a coworkers birthday lunch and everyone complained about 1 thing, the older woman at the register, no surprise there! Well, we haven’t been back since!

Perfect stop. I was starving, I didn’t want a little Bistro and cup of tea… My wife won. So glad she did! We had bowl of vegetable beef soup, the New York and a Reuben. Top shelf. Was perfect. But… I couldn’t walk away from the one piece of big fatass Peppermint Cheesecake SCREAMINGATME. That stuff should be ILLEGAL. It is life threatening. My toungue about lapped my brains out by the time I finished it. Any of the other 6 or so choices looked equally inviting. Christian told us the deserts were all made right there. ALSO, for you lettuce lickers out there, was a nice variety of interesting looking choices on about half of the menu. Our waitress so polite, sweet, happy and normal. Thank you. Was just looking for some grub and had a great experience.

Love Love Love this place! Everything I’ve tried was awesome and very yummy. My fav is the Chicken Salad sandwich and my close second is everything else! Most recently I tried the KimChi Ruben… OMG my mouth is watering as I write this. Salads are excellent too! Desserts…don’t get me started. My for now fav is the Chocolate Cake Cheesecake. Its really rich. Couldn’t eat it all soooo had to save the rest for later and it was still really good. I highly recommend trying out the other desserts tho. They have something for whatever mood you may be in, but you maybe taking it home for later. I come here more than once everytime I’m in town and always will. Try it… Enjoy it

Ok — it gets my 5 star, but it’s a weak 5 star because of one heavy set mean woman who I was grateful only took our order and then went to work elsewhere — where I don’t know — maybe cleaning the bathrooms where she belongs. She was a grouch and I was afraid she was going to hit me for ordering a side salad. Ok — that was indeed the only negative about this place. But before I finish my review — I want to state a correction. The absolute delicious pie slices are NOT $ 7.00. I’m not sure if any are, but a lot of the cream pies that I saw and the one I had was $ 4.25 and it was well worth a lot more then that. Just because it’s a «mom and pop» place or two brothers place like this one and it’s not a white cotton table cloth place — doesn’t mean they have to give their deserts away for free. High priced places — over priced placed charge you these same prices, but give you a fraction of the serving — so the person who made that comment must not be too experienced in eating out. Now on with the review — I couldn’t tell how clean the place was because it was mobbed — I felt lucky we were able to get a table for 5 people. I will say that the table was clean — not sticky like in some deli places — the utensils and plates were clean as well — so I assume based on what I could see — the cleanliness was good. Having said all that — I have to comment mainly on the portions and the flavor of the food as well as the extreme variety that they offer. I have NEVER seen this many types of sandwiches — from the«Build Your Own» to Vegetarian Specialties to Peanut Butter Melts with Marshmallow, PB, Bacon on your choice of 8 different types of bread. They also have soup and sandwich and salad and sandwich combos — some great pickles and Salad Plates too. If you cannot find something on this menu you should just stay home. The pricing is also amazing and I didn’t see many people able to finish their meals — I did because I split my sandwich with a colleague so I could have a scrumptious piece of peanut butter fluffy pie that I’m sure didn’t raise my blood sugar at all. Now about the service — aside from the fat lady — our server ended up being right on target and was running his butt off making sure everyone he was serving was happy and had what they wanted — amazing man! This is one of those places I will surely return to if I’m ever back in Calhoun and the locals should consider themselves lucky to have this lunch place around!
