Best fried chicken I’ve ever had hands down. Chicken was very moist and tender inside and has a nice crispy outside. Fries and the biscuit are on point too. Definitely worth checking out if you’re ever around the area.

Best fried chicken in town! But why is the owner so mean? Why does he charge like 8 bucks for a drumstick??! Lower your prices and go to church Mr fried chicken owner!

Yes it is expensive, yes it takes a while for your order to be made but by gum and all of its eternity the best damm fried chicken I have ever had. I have never had such a moist and juicy white breast meat in my life. Usually breast meat is dry if not eaten in a timely matter, not from this place. The place is small and out of the beaten path somewhat but we’ll worth the drive. Definitely worth the price of admission lol

If you’re in town stop by. This is some good chicken. A two piece order will feed a family. I don’t come around this area to often but I eat here every time I am.

Haven’t had broasted chicken in years. When I saw this place mentioned on our Sun Lakes Facebook site I decided to check it out. Read the reviews first, and since they were all so unbelievably good I drove there myself. what to my amazement did I find but there was no exaggeration in any of the good reviews I read. Definitely worth the drive.

This was the first time we ate here and I have to tell u the chicken is out of this world! I think this has to be one of my new favorites! We had a family pack the potatoes were good some seasoning would of been nice the coleslaw was delicious, the biscuits well they were pretty terrible hard and dry. But I would overlook that if your wanting great chicken. I grade it excellent on that alone, would I come back most definitely

I made a review for this place a few months back when my husband and I were on our way to Palm Springs — but it was never posted. So here we go again… I give this place 5***** because the food is great!!! I haven’t had chicken this good since mom use to fry it up on the weekends — Johnny’s brought me way, waaay back with his crispy and oh so juicy chicken. As a matter of fact we are on our way back this weekend just to go get some food here and drop by Brew Rebellion for a few brews… and we live over 2 hours away!!!

I found Johnnie’s through the help of Unilocal and I enjoy their food. Broasted chicken can’t really go wrong, especially with cold slaw. The chicken is crispy and juicy, especially if eaten right after it’s been brought out. The green cold slaw is pretty good. I suggest you order a la carte, and not get the family menu because the family meal«deal» is so unnecessary and expensive. The food here is really expensive, I mean I can’t compare the huge pieces of broasted chicken with KFC, but the price difference almost makes it worth going to KFC. It is a shame because if it was a little cheaper I would come back so much more often.

Horrible customer service, the owner doesn’t seem to care, he seemed like we were bothering him coming into his restaurant, my 6 yo was asking him a couple questions and he got annoyed, we were the only people in the restaurant… 3 chicken breast, 1 side coleslaw, half order of fried pickles, 48.00 i won’t be back there again.

Holy Pressure Cooker Batman! This is absolutely hands down the bestest darned fried chicken I have ever tasted in my 55 years of life. I don’t really understand the whole concept of broasted chicken cooking, but it machts nichts because all that really matters is the flavor. Prior to being cooked to order, the chicken pieces were perfectly seasoned with a light flour mixture and then fried to perfection. The skin was very crispy and the meat was fully cooked, yet dripping with natural juices. Our french fries were prepared exactly in the same manner as the chicken, so of course they also had that perfect lightly seasoned flour taste. It is indescribable and so all there is to say is you just GOTTA go try this chicken for yourself. This chicken was so good that I didn’t even sample the Buffalo sauce we were given because I didn’t want the sauce to detract from the excellent flavor of the chicken. Now that’s really saying something considering that I’m from Buffalo. We also ate the creamy cole slaw which was excellent, not too sweet but not too sour. The only change I would make to the slaw is to throw in some back bacon bits made from Georges Deli up the street. The biscuits were on the doughy side and lacking in flavor but who cares? Eat the chicken & fries! Chicken combo meal & drinks will run you about about $ 12 per person, but this chicken is worth every single penny.

Food was good but overpriced the owner is very rude and super mean to his employees. We witnessed several uncomfortable moments during our meal. I will not go back!!! Take some classes on how to manage your employees, the quality of your food may start to improve!

Decent food((hence the three stars)) but the menu was grossly overpriced. We wanted to leave without spending a c-note so we got a 7 piece and a 4 piece order of chicken fingers, which came with french fries and side salads. Each order of chicken fingers come with 1 free dressing, those being bbq or honey mustard — ranch comes with a surcharge. We also got a large fountain drink, refills are extra. The bill came to just over $ 33. The side salads weren’t good at all and the person at the register gave us the impression the only salad option was cole slaw. On the first order we got the cole slaw because he worded it as «so cole slaw a ok?» … Uhmmm sure… Same question for 2nd order so we decided to skip it until we ourselves realized there was potato salad and macaroni salad as other options. The register person was cool with adding in a side of potato salad after we had paid. Once we got our order, the salads were presented in small styrofoam cups and appeared to have food coloring, for example the cole slaw was colored green. All in, the presentation of the salads and the salads were unappetizing to eat. The slaw was fed to the trash bin. The chicken fingers and the French fries were quite tasty. However fried food is fried food, so it’s hard to understand the pricing model.

Apparently this place has been open for a long time, but despite being from the area, I never knew about this place until recently. The broasting technique(pressure cooking and frying at the same time) ends up with a pretty nice fried chicken — crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Would have liked the coating they used to be a little more complex tasting but still some of the best fried chicken in the area. Will be back to try some other sides — was not particularly impressed by cole slaw although I’m not a cole slaw kind of guy to begin with.

I finally stopped in after driving past this place for 15 years… The prices are kinda pricey… But once you eat the chicken(Cooked fresh to order) The cost doesn’t matter. The staff were friendly and the place was clean…

Bought the 8 piece dinner with coleslaw and mash for 28 $Everything was very good, but a bit pricey. They threw in two skimpy wings in the dinner combo and thought that was cheap considering the price. Chicken-very good, crunchy, juicy, and made to order Coleslaw-very light and sweet. Mash and gravy-pretty good, but the gravy… Awesome Biscuits-eh Had to pay extra for the buffalo wing sauce. Could at least throw in one or two with the order then charge the others. If I would’ve stayed in house, the sauce would be free; so, what is the difference? Cashier(assuming it’s the owner) isn’t the happiest guy; However, I could care less as long as the food is good. The guy is a bit salty, but he took the order and gave me the food without any problems. If you want better service, then go to Hooters; but, if you want better chicken, come here. I’ll be back, rarely. $$$
