Hampton Inn & Suites Camarillo

Stayed here for one night on our way up the coast. Front desk clerk was really polite and friendly. Suggested a great Mexican restaurant across the street. Room was exceptionally clean and also quiet. Comfortable bed. Nice size bathroom. Not a fan of the sliding bathroom door. Nice little breakfast included.

The lady at the front desk Marta was extremely kind and apologetic for reasons beyond her control or in fact Hamptons control.
She handled the day like a Super Star. Wish her the best.

Very disappointing. As an Honors Gold member the Hampton Inn is my hotel of choice for business travel. The biggest reason is, that no matter where I am. I know what I will get. It’s comforting after a long day of seeing clients.
Everything was fine at check-​in. The clerk recommended a few local places to eat. I received an upgrade as well. The room was large and there was no lamp on the desk; there was not enough light in the room to compensate so it was difficult to work from my computer.
The following morning I noticed there was no in-​room coffee pot. Again, I use Hampton because they are all the same. This has never happened before. OK. Deal with it. No big deal.
After a long day at work I arrived back to my room to find Housekeeping in it… at 7:15 PM! When I complained at the front desk the condescending clerk said «sir, we were at 100% occupancy last night». I congratulated him, then asked him how this related to my room not being available at 7:40PM.
Of course when I woke up there was no invoice under my door… like every other Hampton. And of course when I went to check out I had to ask a breakfast clerk to find someone for the front desk as no one was there at 10:00am.
I will continue to use Hampton Inn. But will never use the Channel Islands location again.

My husband and I normally stay the Hilton Garden Inn but happy to check out this chain. This was our first time staying here and we loved it! Free hot breakfast like omelettes, sausages, waffles and fruit, pastries, oatmeal. Free parking and wifi. Professional friendly customer service. Very clean and modern hotel with décor. Pool and jacuzzi in the back. Fast food restaurants walking distance with a short drive to target and Ross. We had a wonderful experience!

The newly renovated, modern décor and fixtures in the rooms makes this one of the nicer Hamptons I’ve been to recently. I’ve stayed here several times in the past and have always had a good experience, especially with the front desk staff
The nightly rates are also usually very good, but the new rooms put this location over the top. I especially like the cool slider-​door for the bathroom… genius
A 5-​star Hampton Inn

Stayed here while our condo was being fumigated. After looking at reviews of other places around the area this was the cleanest sounding one! For a two night stay we paid $ 300 after a work discount. More than I’d like, but it’s worth it knowing how dirty other hotels were in the area. It lived up to the expectation! It was clean and the reception got us on our way very quickly. The parking is outdoor only and be careful if you park under a tree because sap will fall and it can be a hassle to remove it! The room was clean, big, and roomy. They gave us a handicapped designed room for some reason but it was nice having lots of space. The room also had a refrigerator which was useful. One thing about the sliding door in the restroom is that if you don’t pay attention then you might pinch your finger in between the handle and the wall. One complaint is that the door of the room had a big gap at the bottom. It let all the noise in the hallway into the room. There were parents yelling at kids in the evening which got very annoying. If you’re there in the afternoon when housekeeping is working, the get ready for a LOUD disturbance. Lots of banging and noise and even really loud music, but the music may have come from another family next door. None the less, its gets very noisy. The breakfast was good for what it was, but it’s nothing special because 90% of it is prepackages items. Juices, bagels, hot eggs, hot ham, waffles, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, hot oatmeal and toppings. The entire hotel was under renovations, so the hallways and elevators were a bit «messy» but the parts that looked done looked very nice. Best choice for the least expensive and clean place. There is another hotel down the freeway but that’s definitely a lot more expensive. No complaints except for the noise.

Everything’s is so nice and clean. It has a very modern look and feel to it. The guy at the front desk was very nice and courteous. They have a fitness area which is a plus. The bed is so comfortable though, so soft.

Even though the hotel is going through renovations, the hotel is very clean. The rooms are spacious and very nice. The hotel has the nicest fitness center of any Hampton Inn I have stayed in. The only problem I gad was with the housekeeping. The first day, my room wasn’t cleaned at all and the second day, the room was cleaned, but the door was left open all day. Fortunately, nothing was taken, but I was very concerned. The staff was very responsive when I reported it. I would stay here again.

5÷15÷15 — Stayed here for a wedding weekend. The hotel was under construction but it didn’t bother us at all. in fact the changes they were making were really great.
+ Can you say comfy sheets? The standard king room has the softest sheets and duvet. This is not the fanciest hotel I’ve stayed in (obvs) but it may have been the most comfortable sheet sets I’ve ever experienced. Crazy to say. but I might go back to Camarillo just to stay in the hotel.
+ Large open breakfast and dining space near check-​in. The space is well-​styled in a way that is modern and tasteful… not an ugly hotel dining room. And it has a ton of big windows and natural lighting.
+ Pool outside was full of kids swimming. Several patio tables and chairs for lounging.
+ Quiet — even with construction and the nearness to the freeway, noise is not an issue.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

Hampton Inn & Suites Camarillo is a great place to stay for the weekend. It is right off of Highway 101. Even with a face toward the freeway, the highway noise is not noticeable. They are currently undergoing renovations but some of the newly completed rooms were available for guests. The King Bed Room comes with free wifi (internet connection is slow), 32″ HDTV, sleeper sofa, dual work desks, coffeemaker, thermostat-​controlled AC, mini refrigerator, dual use slider door for closet and bathroom, large sliding glass door shower, and brand new fixtures.
* For Hilton Hhonor Gold or above members will receive bottled water and snack upon check-​in.
They have free hot breakfast every morning for hotel guests. The great room and breakfast nook has been recently renovated with new tables, chairs, lighting fixtures, counters, and TV to watch the morning news. Here are some of the items you might find to cure your breakfast needs:
* Make-​your-​own malted waffles
* Chocolate and blueberry muffins
* Mini danishes
* Hot brewed coffee (regular, robust, decaf), hot tea, and hot chocolate
* Juices (orange, cranberry, apple)
* Scrambled and hardboiled eggs
* Sausage
* Yogurts
* Fresh fruit
* Oatmeal and cereals

Compared to my last visit in this area this place is super clean, doesn’t stink and there’s no weirdos hanging around watching your every move. I would definitely stay here again. I feel safe and I predict a good nights sleep. There’s a lot of remodeling going on but it hasn’t bothered me, no noise or anything. The room is super spacious and bed is comfortable and clean. There’s perfect workspace here and free wifi… I have gotten a lot of work done already.

This was a nice hotel, very clean, comfy beds. I found the color scheme to be sophisticated, somewhat business feel. Not a fan of the bright blue advertisements in the elevator, just tacky. Breakfast was blah, but I didn’t expect organic kale and pasture raised eggs. Nothing really healthy; eggs were poor quality and overly salted, as was sausage. There were lots of options in the land of carbs: bagels, muffins, waffles, cereal. Didn’t try the coffee. Great price for including a gym, pool, computer room, and wifi in the rooms. Definitely nicer than the Best Western about a mile away. I think our king bed plus sofAbed room was somewhere around 120 a night.

We were in town for a family wedding. The room was spacious clean. The beds were comfortable. Free breakfast and wi-​fi were also a plus. If you need to do some shopping it is very close to the outlet stores. If we are ever in the area again, I would stay there again.
P. S. Don’t try booking this hotel through Expedia. There are some sort of problems between their system and Expedia. Expedia booked a hotel for me but it wasn’t this one. The reservation confirmation number didn’t even match the hotel’s system. Apparently this is happened to other people who have tried to book through Expedia. While I was on the phone with Expedia trying to figure out what happened, three other parties checked in with their reservations made on
. I recommend going that route.

We stayed here and «Martha» at the front desk has an attitude with guests. Also, someone dropped a glass near a trash can at the far side of the pool. Martha told everyone to clear out. The whole place! Should have taken 5 minutes to sweep it up but we waited all afternoon and night. They just wanted everyone to leave as she was stressed. Claimed they had to sweep the whole pool (again, a 10 min job). The glass wasn’t even close and the is VERY VERY slow. What a nightmare! Didn’t pay for this! Otherwise the place is just ok.

There are 3 things that are important to me when I stay in a hotel/​motel, only 3.
Is it safe? Is it clean? Is it reasonably priced?
Well, I booked this room thru Priceline at a decent rate. The room was very clean and I felt relatively safe staying at this location.
Overall, it was safe, clean and reasonably priced.

First time in Camarillo and I don’t plan on returning, but I I ever do I WON’T stay here.
This place needs a good going through and all details need inspecting.
Shower had shoddy repairs, all hardware is extremely worn and needs a thorough cleaning or replacing, toilets lack proper flow, and bath towels are of the small variety.
Breakfast is free, and you get what you pay for. Trash was overflowing, bacon was greasy (overly greasy, even for bacon), fruit appeared to be from the discount bin, unorganized (one stack of styrofoam plates hidden in a corner in the center of the selections, jelly nowhere near toast, etc), I didn’t even see any juice. It’s ‘served’ till 10, but they stop bringing food out about 8:30 it seems.
Some friends were in another room, they said the AC made so much racket at first they thought someone kept jiggling the door handle.
The housekeeping supply room is always wide open so every time you enter/​exit the elevator you have a nice view of supplies and the wide open window with no screen, as well as the OSHA violation in the form of a permanent mounted extension cord with a triple outlet attached to it. Nice touch of class, matches the hole in the wall nicely.
I was happy to leave and got one more big «F you» when I walked up to my car that I had just washed and detailed yesterday. Their sprinklers are set so bad that my car got blasted overnight clear across the sidewalk. Not a little bit, clear up to the roof line, the entire side of the car.
Let’s see, TV isn’t mounted, wires ran by a 6yr old apparently. Elevator has trash on the floor. Details, details are key.
The bedding was clean and there is a fridge and microwave in the room, that’s a plus but not enough of an offset to warrant any more than two stars.

A nice, clean place to stay. The rates are reasonable for the area. The rooms are comfortable and there is free wi-​fi available. Coffee and tea are provided and are free. The room also had a large refrigerator and microwave. A real plus is the fact that everything on the bed, including the bedspread and duvet are changed daily.

Stayed 2 night w husband, very clean, nice beds. Nice breakfast in morning and good location. Happy hour in evening drinks & munchies. Would stay again, employees also very professional

Not to shabby… I came here for a Saturday night as I had a wedding to attend to close by. A definite upside was that we were able to check in early which was nice.
The rooms are actually quite spacious, which I was not expecting. The beds are comfortable, I would have preferred a more comfortable comforter. They have a large fridge, coffee machine and a microwave, which is great!
There is only one elevator which is a shame because it takes quite some time.
We ended up having breakfast there, which is free and they had such an array of food surprisingly. They had oatmeal, make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, sausage etc. The only downfall was how messy the eating area was. Eventually a lady came to clean up, looked like they were a bit understaffed.
There are plenty of fast food places to eat at, which is a definite plus!
Overall, I did enjoy my stay. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, good breakfast and good location.

Mediocre at best.
The rooms are small even though they’re supposed to be suites.
I stayed in Room 150, the view from my room was a McDonalds and an El Pollo Loco restaurant… pretty sad!
The bathroom had a permanent sewer stench that just wouldn’t go away.
I asked the manager about my chances of getting another room but was told they were fully booked, even though the hotel looked half empty during our entire stay. The staff for the most part were friendly, so I can’t really fault them. Not a good place to spend your night if you’re looking for good value and quality.
