Roadrunner Shuttle & Limousine Service

Requested a town car for pick up to save time getting home but waited an hour for the driver to pick me up. When driver finally arrived, he told me to wander around the outside pick up area to find him, didn’t answer the phone when I tried calling. I then got scolded by the dispatcher for not staying in one place! I would have stayed in one place if the driver didn’t tell me to come find him. Very unsettling experience! I would definitely not recommend this town car service.

Liars! I called in my reservation a week before my pickup. Lousy roadrunner made me wait 45 minutes in that awful exhaust filled & noisy LAX waiting zone. They just blame it on «Ye Olde Standby» «Traffic.»
Do not use these creeps. Van is bouncy, rough riding with no USB or 12VDC outlets. There’s even a hole in the floor where I can see the road though it.
Every seat is filled so that means I’ve got lots of out of the way stops until I finally get home.
What the F was I thinking?
Next time Über for sure.

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. Not only did they give us the wrong bus they didn’t even drop us off at our destination. We had to walk up a hill. Since we were going to be at our destination for a while the bus driver went to go get us the correct bus we paid for. He showed up an hour late so we just had to stand there in the clod waiting for him. And when we called the customer service line they literally laughed at us. Didn’t fix the problem and didn’t even apologize. I am reporting them to the BBB!!! They need to be out of service

Please do not use this service!!! We ordered a party bus and they sent a shuttle bus instead. When we dropped off at our location the driver dropped us off at the bottom of the hill. We were forced to walk in heels uphill to the restaurant. The driver left to switch our shuttle bus to a party bus like we ORIGINALLY ordered. He came back an hour late. They did not accommodate anything they were rude and did not even apologize. This was for a bachelorette party and it was RIDICULOUS! On top of everything they left our belongings in the shuttle bus!!!

Gave us the wrong transportation. Had to walk uphill to get to our destination. Brought a different bus that was an hour late and our drinks and food was not transported to the new bus. Really upset. Called customer serve and wouldn’t give us any accommodations. Even though this was over a 10 ppl party it was for my cousins Bach party. Horrible, HORRIBLE! Don’t do business with this place! Reporting them to the BBB! This business made too many mistakes and didn’t help us or apologize.

I booked a one-​way airport transfer from LAX to Ventura. I booked a town car; premium service. This was to include a meet and greet.
I arrived in the lobby of Terminal 4. Flight was early, but I figured the driver would be on top of that given that he had my flight information.
I called the company to find out why he wasn’t there. The dispatcher hung up on me the first time and it took seven minutes for him to figure out where the driver was waiting. The tardy driver was at Baggage Claim 1, my flights bags were at 2, and I still don’t know why he wasn’t where all the other drivers were located, especially since I advised the dispatcher that I was waiting by all the other drivers.
When I FINALLY found the driver, he was carrying a handwritten sign on which my name may have been written in pen or pencil. Regardless, it was impossible to read from a distance.
The driver greeted me disheveled and flustered. He did not have a luggage cart. In the end, because of the lack of cart, I had to person 2 of my own bags. If I wanted to do that, I would have booked a shares ride van. Oh, and they have my credit card information at this juncture, so it’s not like they’re not going to get paid.
We FINALLY made our way to the car. During the limited conversation, I learn that the driver was late because HE WAS DROPPING OFF ANOTHER PASSENGER UPSTAIRS AND HE «HOPED» HE WOULD MAKE IT! Well, he didn’t.
The icing on this cupcake is that the car, a Cadillac of some sorts, reeks of icky fast food. Why? Because he left the wrappers on the front seat! There are trash cans all over LAX! It is so disgusting.
The car was too warm on the drive to my house. No music and no air. I found my own air and I decided to use this unexpected quit time to follow-​up and cool down.
Finally, the driver is speeding up the 101, driving at speeds exceeding 80 mph. He’s cutting in and out of traffic, making this the least relaxing ride ever.
My advice to the reader is to hire another service. It’s just not worth it. My time and money is worth too much to be subjected to this subpar level of service.

I’m not sure if you’ve ever had a feeling you were forgetting something for a business trip and realized T-​Minus 15 hrs before your flight that you don’t arrange for a way to get to LAX.
That’s what happened to me! We are a one car family because most of the time that’s more than enough for us. My week long trip with the car parked somewhere near LAX wasn’t going to work.
Was Über seriously going to pick me up around 2 am so I can get to LAX, I doubt it; besides I’m not a fan of non-​professional drivers! I sent an email to Road Runner, they are based in Camarillo, and I wanted to support a business in my home county.
I got a confirmation back assuring me they will pick me up at 2am! professional drive and all.
Sure enough 2am on the dot, a van is in front of my drive way and we’re gone. We picked up two people; really, I barely notice because I’m taking a quick nap. It was super easy to fall asleep because the drive was great, no-​herkey jerky driving, just smooth quite riding. The driver didn’t even have the radio on, which I wouldn’t mind, after all its super early in the morning!
It seemed like I got to LAX in no time at all. Great experience. My only critique; when they confirmed the pick up that’s all I got… one email. I guess that’s all I needed but It would have been reassuring if I got another email saying «hey, I’m picking you up in 2 hrs be ready» or something like that… just so I know they didn’t forget about me. I guess I have trust issues ! LOL
I can only speak from the perspective of being driven to LAX and based on my great experience, I’m calling them back for my next trip… probably a little sooner and planning than this first time.

Always on time, I love this service doorstep to LAX! You have to be flexible on the airport pickup end of things. Take into consideration if you are paying for Shuttle van all riders need to be on board. I’ve never waited more than 20 – 30 minutes for van and other riders. Once all onboard you leave the airport and are on your way. If you want exclusive service pay for a limo! I don’t know why people would give bad reviews because they had to wait to be picked up at airport. Let’s face it LAX is super busy and they keep your cost down by trying to coordinate several riders. I will always use RR and love the no stress service they offer. They drive safely and are very friendly. Keep up the great service!

On our return trip from LAX, the propane van ran out of fuel on the side of the freeway, in the middle of the night. There were four adult passengers and two children who had to wait there and then change vans, praying we wouldn’t get hit by a passing vehicle. The driver was fine; it was not his fault, as he checked the fuel before leaving, but it still ran out. I’ve left two messages for customer service (was told that «Dominic» was the only person to speak to and my only option was to call him back after 3 p. m…really?). A week later, and no one has returned my call. I just sent an email as well, but do not expect a response. The incident was annoying and unsafe, and while I understand that things happen, a business should put at least SOME effort into making things right with their customers. I do not plan to use them again at this point.

This is a truly terrible service. It took me 4 hours to get from LAX to Santa Barbara — should be 2 hours. Their site claims it will only take 30 minutes longer than a private trip; don’t believe it.
Airbus costs less and even if you just missed the previous bus, it still won’t take this long. Maybe Woodland Hills works for these guys but taking it to SB is a bad move. Obviously tough to make a multi-​passenger service work, so maybe I’m the idiot for thinking they could do it in a timely manner. Next time, I’ll drive myself, take Airbus or take Über (also would’ve cost less).

It’s hit and miss for me. I have had to wait over an hour for a pick up at the airport after never seen a van and making several calls I got a driver who had everyone car sick. He rode the brakes so much and did not know how to read or use a GPS so we the passengers took over directions. I even had one who was so low on fuel we had to change vans half way home. But for all my bad experiences I have had more good ones. The drivers who pulled my bags up to the door, the drivers who shielded me from the rain and helped me out of the van, and making sure the interior temp was not to hot or cold for me. So since I don’t like leaving my car in a dirty airport lot I will continue to call them. Plus for one of my bad rides I got a free ride from them my suggestion is call, be nice and they will offer the next ride, one way at least, on them.

Roadrunner Shuttle provided transportation services for the bridal party and out-​of-​town guests for our August 2015 wedding, and they were a pleasure to work with! They were extremely accommodating (stopping at various locations, including three hotels and an after party), and their minibus was clean and in excellent condition. Our driver was prompt, courteous, and professional, and Shelley made booking a breeze. Thank you, thank you!

What a dramatic deterioration in service. I’ve used Roadrunner for 15 years and initially was satisfied but now I am finally done. The delays have increased and the past 2 trips had problems and unreasonable delays, the first one being a pre-​dawn pick-​up from home and the most recent, Oct. 18, 2015, being a pick-​up from LAX. The wait at LAX was exactly 55 minutes and then we still had to cruise around LAX to get the 7^th and 8^th passengers.
My Oct. 18 ride had been an earned «free» one because of the number of previous trips I’d done on RR. When I complained to RR about the 55 minute wait, I simply asked that they replace my free trip. I’d been told by Serena on the phone in my calls from LAX that RR reviews any delay over 35 minutes and may offer some compensation.
Dana, one of the supervisors, told me when I called the next day that RR would review my complaint and possibly give 10−15% off a future trip — which was not satisfactory to me – and that he’d refer my complaint for review.
When I called today, Dana told me that my request had been rejected. I’m assuming the decision was made by Dominick Perez, the Assistant Manager, who’d sent me a form email after my complaint was lodged, saying RR would investigate. Ultimately, I was offered nothing by RR.
RR is clearly cutting corners and damaging customer service for financial reasons. The competition has increased and RR will have to improve or die. The competition is not just from other shuttle companies, but in April 2015 Mayor Eric Garcetti stated Über and Lyft will be legally authorized to do pick ups at LAX after contract negotiations are complete; Über and Lyft have done drop-​offs for quite some time. Incidentally, I’ve used Über in an emergency recently and was very satisfied.
When I mentioned the numerous negative Unilocal reviews to RR’s representative, Dana, he told me Unilocal can’t be trusted for anything. Sorry, Dana, everyone who uses Unilocal knows to take reviews with a grain of salt. Sure, a business can have family and friends post glowing reviews and competitors can post phony negative ones. But when a business like RR has so many negative reviews from long-​standing Unilocal reviewers, it DOES have value to those of us searching for reliable transportation services.

Suck fest! 45 min waiting @ LAX which included having them drive right past me. Soend the same amount of money to park your own car & get home sooner.

Not so awesome is the hour wait to leave the airport to start the trip home. The other passengers and I were told that we had to wait for another passenger from another flight to arrive and join our group before we can head out. I understand the business need to gather passengers from as many flights, I get it.
The good thing with RR is that the location stops are along the 101 and limited the stops in the valley. Our driver was able to navigate through the surface streets during rush hour (7pm) to get us from Burbank to Calabasas in 35 minutes… That’s pretty amazing!

I waited for 45 minutes (called with my luggage at 10:58p) on Friday evening as I saw 3 different Roadrunner shuttles go by me at LAX. Called customer service two times and they assured me my van (#302) was coming shortly or «just a few minutes away» and the other 3 vans were for different parties going elsewhere — one she even mentioned was taking a large party to Goleta. I thought to myself; I’m going to Santa Barbara, they could easily drop me off on the way. Logistics? Efficiency?
Finally, a Roadrunner shuttle stopped at my curb in Terminal 6 as I vigorously waved the driver down at 11:45p. I saw the van number was 200 something, so figured as she rolled her window down she would tell me to wait longer for #302.
Interestingly enough, she said they changed my van number, but forgot to communicate this fact with customer service. ???
This van proceeds to take me to Ralph’s parking lot where an additional 3 Roadrunner shuttles are just parked randomly throughout the lot with no passengers in them. I am then transferred to van #311 and taken straight to Santa Barbara.
Just weird. Slow and confusing.
Use Roadrunner in a pinch, but don’t count on timely results, effective communication or an overall good experience — especially after a long day of travel.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY. We had booked a wheelchair van weeks in advance. When the van showed up, it wasn’t a wheelchair van. The driver called dispatch and some arrogant obnoxious individual was yelling over the radio that there was no note for a wheelchair van on the order. I told them that my father was unable to walk or get into the van. The driver suggested that he could lift my father into the van, to which I issued the appropriate, «hell no». The driver then told me that the would be able to get a wheelchair van to us in 2 hours! We needed to get to the airport early for my parent’s international flight.
So we ended up not using their service. I asked about a refund and the driver told me I had to call the office myself. So I did. And the same obnoxious person answered the phone (after a very long wait) and said they would have to review the tapes or something to see if I actually ordered a wheelchair van for a refund (something like that).
Anyway, I contacted Amex and opened a dispute for the charge which, of course showed up on my credit card on Monday. I also called the company so they could also open a ticket and resolve this issue.
Let’s see what happens. I’d hate pay $ 137.00 to a company for their obvious error and my family’s increased stress that day.

I have unfortunately had to use Roadrunner a few times now because they are one of the cheaper options from Ojai to LAX. They are generally unpleasant to deal with, but the price was cheaper than any other car company. However, after my last experience, I will NOT be using Roadrunner again.
I had last minute booked a reservation with the company for the following morning to get to the airport from my house about 1.5 hours away. It was very late so I called back in the morning to check to see what time my car was coming. They confirmed that I had a car coming at 7AM that morning so I thought I was set. At around 7:10 I called Roadrunner to check and they told me that they would not have a car coming for me because my reservation was too late and that they would be refunding my card. This is pretty ridiculous given that they already confirmed my reservation before, but partially understandable because I had a late reservation.
About a week and a half later, I look at my debit card statement and the Roadrunner charge for 120 $ is still on my card. I called Roadrunner and they told me that they cancelled the transaction but that the accounting department charged it anyway and that it ‘wasn’t really their fault.’ It was DEFINITELY their fault and their mistake. If I had not checked my credit card statement, these people would have kept my money. Absolutely ridiculous that they confirmed then cancelled my reservation and charged me anyway. I will be telling everyone I know to AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This WAS a great service until they expanded. Ride times went way up and service went down.
Also every time I use my free ride they stick me on a three hour tour of Southern California.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!
We had a minor disagreement about payment with the driver and he blew up on us in public. He started cursing at my husband and threatening him in the middle of the street. We were willing to pay the difference of the price disagreement but he was too busy yelling and calling us names to listen and drove off. We also called the company later in the day to report the driver, and all they had to say is that it was our fault for not confirming the price when getting on the shuttle and that our driver is the BEST driver they have. Seriously?! ZERO CHARACTER!
