The guys here are just so great! I had problems with the air pressure in my tires and they showed me what the psi should be, corrected it AND how to do it myself in the future — all for free. They definitely have my business going forward. Nothing like kind, honest, reliable workers!!! THANK YOU everyone (and Julie at the front desk for getting me set up!!)

Tony was great, he got the front bumper of my car fixed quickly and for a reasonable price.

Service was quick but the detail job left a bit to be desired. The windows weren’t cleaned well and some the dash didn’t look like it had gotten more than just a wipe down. Not sure we’ll go back

A-​Z did such an incredible job on my car! I was heading on the road for a long trip and wanted to get my car detailed before the drive. They were able to fit me in that afternoon. My car– inside especially– looked and smelled brand new when I picked it up after work.
I will definitely be coming back.

Good shop. I just had my 1999 black Z3M coupe’s hood and door jams painted here. They did great body work and the paint was nice. I’m meticulous and Tony was very patient with me. They initially missed a small item as would most shops but after letting him know, he took care of it immediately. There are a lot of shady shops out there that don’t take pride in their work but Tony was honest and let me see the different stages of the process so that I knew I was getting what I paid for. I’m also very happy with their pricing. I got a few quotes and A-​Z was cheaper by ~ 15%. Overall, I’m happy with the price and quality. I’d definitely recommend A-​Z in Cambridge, MA.

Came here through Unilocal quote and consultation for dent repair.
I went to Webster Auto and CLM auto as well for quote but they were in the 2k-​3k range. That was because they would have had to replace my driver and rear door.
I was on a budget so went here and told the guy, Rob, what I looking to have done. A quick fix.
He charged me $ 30 for a small paint job over an area that had chipped. About three inches wide and one and half inch tall. And pulled out the dents for me! Unfortunately a small part of the paint went away the next way.
Not bad — but I should’ve gotten more services done to take advantage of the Unilocal deal :).
Great customer service too!

They did a decent job on a rough situation. My dog had thrown up in the car repeatedly when he ate the Christmas stocking (he’s ok now!)
We cleaned it up mostly but a month later a smell was still lingering. We brought it in to A-​Z and they had a great deal for a full interior detail for $ 99. Plus, on Unilocal,there was another deal for $ 75 worth of service for $ 50, so it all cost me $ 74!
They were really friendly and got it done sooner then expected but my only feedback, and to be fair this might have been too much to expect, there is still some vomit residue in the seams of the leather seating. Can barely tell but for that much I was hoping it was perfect. Still very happy with the job and they cleaned the outside as well so thanks!

I just recently got my car detailed there, inside and out. I’ve had my car for 5 years and have never gotten it detailed before so the inside was pretty grimy, if I do say so myself. When they were done with it, it looked like a brand spankin’ new car! So worth it!

Wont ever go back banged my rims on my bmw said it was there yhe car is 3 weeks old wanted a scatch fixed culdnt even match the paint went to the dealer like everyone told me too the fixed all of it and the dim a to z banged up they break things and try to over charge you to fix it stay out of this shop no good

So I really want to give them 4 or 5 stars because I’ve dealt with them in many occasions and usually they’re customer service skills are pretty good. BUT I’m quite upset at what happened after my last visit… a bumper repair and a car shampooing /​detailing.
Let’s talk about the detailing. I had some mildew smell due to my own fault of leaving my sunroof open while it rained terribly one night. So I talked to these guys and seemed like the shampooing was worth testing out. (I’ve had other water damage in the past and i’ve never gotten it detailed in 6 years so it was time). $ 140 to get a fresh nice car back, not tooo shabby.
I got it back 5 days later (Shampoo was done first day, I had my bumper fixed during this time and couldn’t schedule my pick up). I get it back, the guy says they kept the windows open in the shop during night time and should be dry but it wouldn’t hurt to crack a window open on a sunny day.
Well… 5 days later, I’m in Maine for work, and I noticed that the carpet underneath the mats are all soaked! (not moist, it was wet wet wet!) This was in the trunk area (i had this clear plastic mat that covered the area) and the back seat! You know, when you leave your car for several days, you expect they wouldn’t put the mats on unless it’s dry. If it wasn’t dried out completely say something more than an optional «oh it wouldn’t hurt to crack your window». I live in Somerville, I don’t leave windows open that often! Luckily in Maine I was at a site with no cars and sunny afternoon so I left my windows and sunroof open. But still to this day it pisses me off. For a few days a bit humid smell lingered but now it’s better (probably because it’s cold).
Bumper — this was fixed alright, except now my headlight gets condensation in it. It’s only on the side the bumper was touched so I’m pretty sure something happened during the fix but when I called in about this (before I noticed the wet interior of car) they said it wasn’t them but it might be as easy of a fix as a tiny crack that they need to silicon. But after finding out my wet interior I haven’t felt like even going to them to fix this.
I’ve been in Boston for 6 years. These guys have fixed about 4 bumpers on my Rav4. 3 at the location in Brighton, where I also had a $ 11 000 repair after a terrible accident that was not my fault. (I had to go back 6 times for them to get it right but at least they were patient until I was satisfied). I used to swear by these guys and recommend them to my female friends that are as lost as I am when it comes to car repairs. This was the first time using Porter location. I think I’m going to try to find a new body shop now.

Anytime I’ve needed car work done I’ve come here. Scott is great at keeping the price down-​and even fixes things I didn’t mention with no added cost! Highly recommend them. I go out of my way to get to this location now because good, trustworthy mechanics are so rare.

A-​Z did an amazing job detailing the interior of my car!
Not only did they vacuumed, washed, and cleaned every compartment, button, seat, floor, mats, ceiling, sides, dash, interior windows, trunk, steering wheel, safety belts, and etc… in the car, but the clerk alerted me of glass previously broken in the outer line of my trunk and spare tire compartment.
A-​Z even threw in a free wash, a side mirror detail, a tire detail, and honored my $ 50 for $ 75 Unilocal coupon. In the end I only spent $ 75 for the whole service. Even the host clerk was courtesy enough to ask which parts of the interior to focus on before the detailing.
KEEP IN MIND SERVICE TAKES 4 HOURS SO PREPARE FOR A MORNING OR MIDDAY EXCURSION!
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for more from A-​Z Auto Center, and I will be returning back with maybe their double package of exterior and interior detail.

I had basically my entire car repainted about a year ago after it was damaged by hurricane Irene. AZ did an amazing job and even to this day i cant tell where spots were painted and what is original. they even replace the clear shield that was on the hood and did a better job than the body shop that originally installed it.

If you want to pay double the price for your repair and be pulled around, go here. I can’t help but agree with what other people have posted, that they can charge what they want and do half ass repairs because in Cambridge, everyone’s car gets hit at some point and they have enough business to not care about being the best anymore.
The person who did my estimate quoted me for double what the other auto-​body shop I had the work done at charged me. The worst part was, when he came back with a rediculous quote for a tiny scratch and I asked him to break it down for me, he explained everything to me like I was stupid. Told me everything was «right out of the book.»
Anyways, please think twice or at least get a second quote.

I’ve been taking my car to A-​Z since September 2009 when my car was side-​swiped while parked outside of my apartment. Found them on Unilocal and figured the reviews looked positive enough and the location is really convenient. Scott fit me in the next morning and took the time to explain everything they were going to need to fix, what the cost would be, and how long it would take etc. They also did me a solid by charging me only what my deductible would be so that I didn’t have to get my insurance involved.
Since then I’ve taken my car here for everything — from oil changes to a 30K tune-​up etc. I needed a ton of work done at 30K miles, including having the tires replaced. Scott let me purchase online and have them shipped to A-​Z which saved me a bit of money, and isn’t something they normally let customers do. He also recommended I go with rebuilt rotors instead of buying dealer parts which work just as well and are cheaper. I’m all about saving money when possible.
Took my car here again yesterday to have the brakes checked and an oil change. I needed new wipers and opted for the regular $ 14 kind versus the fancy $ 22, but when I went to pick up my car Scott told me that they didn’t have the $ 14 ones left, so he gave me the $ 22 wipers and didn’t charge me the difference. That’s customer service.
I cannot say enough good things about A-​Z. The receptionists have always been super nice and helpful, too.
Seriously, take your car here.

The people at A-​z do a good job with repairs. I brought my car in after a hit and run and they definitely made it look brand new (and dealt with my insurance company… which everyone knows is a royal pain in the a**).
So why three stars? First of all, the woman who works at the front desk is ridiculously and insanely unhelpful. When I brought my car there the first time, without even looking at the car, she told me the repairs would take «two to three weeks» (the manager later told me 4 – 5 days). Second, any time I called, she continued to give me misinformation about my car. Dealing with her was unbeliveably frustrating, and I can’t for the life of me understand why the A-​Z Auto Center keeps such an incompetent receptionist. Finally, getting a return call from these people is nearly impossible.
If you do go there, talk to Lee– he knows what he’s doing, and he does a good job.
