Cambridge Analytic Couch specializes in handcrafted analytic couches and daybeds. We offer classic, upholstered scroll couches, adjustable multi-​angle couches and flat daybeds. Our Cambridge retail showroom/​workshop has been making custom furniture since 1976. Cambridge Analytic Couches are built to last, using solid hardwoods and high resiliency foams.

Business Owner

John Buster, founder and designer of Cambridge Analytic Couch, has been a furniture designer for over 35 years. He has handcrafted beds full-​time since 1976 and began making analytic couches in 1978.

As an undergrad at Stanford University, Buster majored in Humanities and History, with a specialization in Ancient History. He then went on to study law and civil rights at the University of Wisconsin. Afterwards, Buster served as a civil rights trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice. When he later went on to travel abroad for five years, Buster was able to independently study art and design in Italy, Germany, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. In his free time, hobbies Buster enjoys include furniture design, travel, foreign languages, geography and geology, reading, politics and doubles tennis.

Buster believes «less is more» and focuses on functionality, practicality, durability and simplicity in his designs.
