Cannondale Sports first opened in 2013 with our current location opening the following year with the goal of bringing our passion of cycling to the Cambridge community! One of the best bike shops in the Boston area, especially for high end bike maintenance. The staff are brilliant and helpful, and the maintenance work is always top notch. Key things to look for in a shop, in my experience.

Glammy store, wonderful customer service. Really bummed the tools outside are rusted in place and I couldn’t fix my flat after buying a tube in the store. Now I have to walk around like a slow poke all night!

I decided to get back into biking as a way to stay fit and hopefully cultivate a new hobby. I quickly realized that it was time for a new road bike, if I was going to take this up seriously. After looking at a ton of reviews and weeks of online research, I decided that $ 800-​$ 1000 was a reasonable budget for a good entry level road bike and that a LBS was the way to go.
After visiting a few bike stores in the area where I was consistently ignored, I called Cannondale Sports in Cambridge. Despite not having the model in my size (58″), they suggested that I come in for a test ride. The General Manager Craig took the time to talk to me and never once tried to upsell me of some of the nicer models that they had on the shop floor. Not only did he offer to order the model (Synapse alloy Sora) for me but was willing to price match an online sale price that I noticed REI was offering.
It was refreshing to see a LBS that actually cares about their customers. I would highly recommend them if you are in the market for a new bike!

Purchased a Bad Boy 1 bike here last fall. Great bike. No issues.
Called a few weeks back asking about a child seat to attach — voice on the phone was annoyed with my query. Guess, it isn’t a common question. I asked how much do they cost, what brand… etc.
Stunned silence.
He should have simply said I don’t know.
I followed the question with how much to install, and he said $ 1 a minute — and he wasn’t sure how long it would take.
He did say he would call me back with pricing and makes of child seats.
Again, that was two weeks ago.

I took advantage of a great sale on tune-​ups at the tail end of Snowmageddon. From the price of their bikes I thought that they might be out of my price range or bike snobs, but happily they are neither! I have an old Cannondale bike, they nicely called it «retro».
They did a fantastic job tuning it up, replacing a few parts and generally making it feel like a brand new bike… all for a very reasonable price. Better yet, they were really nice, friendly and didn’t try to sell me a new bike or extra parts that I didn’t need. My bike is truly a pleasure to ride now — thank you Cannondale!

I was riding my bike home when *sproing! something went wrong. I happened to be near the store, so I popped in and they kindly took my bike back for repairs. About 35 minutes later, a broken cable and housing had been replaced, and then I was back on the road.
The folks I talked to knew their stuff — they showed me bikes that would be a good fit for the type of city riding I do, and are made in my (giant) size. yay!
Yeah, the prices of the bikes can be a little steep — but A) you get what you pay for and B) they have some good sales.

What cyclist does not check out bike stores? I think I have been in everyone in the Boston area. I am «over the top» satisfied with everyone at the Cannodale store — friendly, knowledgeable, looking to do the best that they can for the customer and lets face it, they sell Cannondales which speaks for itself!

Wow … Cannondale «Green Machine» nirvana. Friendly staff and beautifully laid out store. Oh, and the bikes are amazing. Zbest road bikes are on second floor.

An employee of the store did reach out after the initial review in order to help correct the situation, and got me set up with a new light to replace the broken one that I have.
Given that it was the same person as before, I do wish that the response was more proactive than reactionary, but that’s neither here nor there.
In any case, I would recommend dealing with the store first since the corporate contact response seems to be pretty abysmal.

Awesome store, bike geek heaven!!! Get bike, get fitted, go!!! They have everything from patches to $ 8k downhill bikes. Go upstairs and check out the 630 gram evo nano carbon carbon fiber frame made of ballistic grade carbon fiber.
Outside they have a 24⁄7 vending machine and repair rack!!!
