Specialties

We stock products from every major imaging products manufacturer including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Leica, Olympus, Fuji, Pentax, Samsung, Epson, Sigma, Tamron, Adobe, Sandisk, ProMaster, Manfrotto and many more.

We welcome trade-ins and we maintain a diverse used section that changes daily — and we stock plenty of used 35 mm cameras which are perfect for your first photo class. Don’t be surprised to see some rare cameras in this case such as 4×5 press cameras, Hasselblads, twin lens cameras, and more.

For students and fine art photographers, we carry the deepest stock of films and papers (both color and black and white, digital and analog) in the Boston area. We offer student discounts on most consumable products and extend student purchase programs offered by our vendors

.

And, if there happens to be anything that we don’t have in stock that you may need, just let us know, we can get almost anything in within one business day from our local warehouse.

History

Established in 1889.

November 17, 2011 — Boston, MA — The Retailers Association of Massachusetts presented Hunt’s Photo & Video, New England’s largest digital imaging equipment retailer, with its 2011 Retailer of the Year Award in recognition of Hunt’s continuous dedication to providing customers with exceptional products, unparalleled service, and originality in all that they do.

Hunt’s is a legend in Massachusetts, known for its relentless focus on three basic principles: unparalleled customer service, a highly trained and experienced sales staff, and competitive pricing. «To be successful we need to offer our customers an experience they are not going to receive anywhere else,» says Hunt’s President Scott Farber. We sell photography in our stores, not cameras.“

With locations in Boston, Cambridge, Hadley, Hanover, & Melrose, MA, Manchester, NH, Providence, RI, and So. Portland, ME, Hunt’s Photo & Video serves the needs of students, hobbyists and professionals.

Meet the Manager

Ora L.

Manager

Raised in New England, Ora has photographed all over the country and is in love with the community and atmosphere that only a small city brings. He attended college in Boston and has lived in the city and surrounding suburbs since 2004.

Ora is a landscape photographer with a taste for panoramics, and enjoys off beat portraiture as well. He works primarily with classic rangefinders and their modern counterpart, mirrorless ILC’s. A self professed camera nerd, he loves the intricate designs and precision of the tools as much as the art form itself.

Ora has worked for Hunt’s since 2006 as a salesman in the flagship store in Melrose. Having worked daily with professionals, students, and lovers of photography prepared him to assume the position of the Kenmore Square store in January of 2013.
