I want to love Intarawut. The guy who works there is really sweet, the merchandise is beautiful, and they do an amazing job wrapping up presents so that your gifts look beautiful. But the truth is, the merchandise doesn’t seem to change much. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for six years, and dropping into Intarawut fairly regularly since it opened– truth be told, I always know what I’ll see. And most of what I see is *really* expensive(especially since you can get similar looking things at other stores in Cambridge). The other downside is that the hours are irregular(though more regular during the holiday season), so if you’re planning a visit, check the times first.

Fabulous little store in the middle of a residential area with Asian(mostly Thai) jewelry, clothing, and home decorations that are both really affordable and beautiful. Their necklaces and earrings make particularly great gifts. The owners/store managers are very low-key and let you browse quietly, but if you have questions they’re extremely nice and helpful. I think they’re open Weds-Sun(they have a big«Open» flag hanging outside when they’re…open).

This store is awesome. It’s a great place to get unique and reasonably priced gifts. Examples include: floating candles in the shape of a flower wrapped in a beautiful silk box topped by a small asian coin, or lovely silk gift boxes filled with incense and candles, colorful embroidered/leather bags and coin purses, silk pillows, scarves, and jewelry bags. Lots of gifts in the $ 5 — $ 15 range. They also have unusual pieces of jewelry and antiques. Also the staff are friendly and helpful.
