May very well be the dumbest people in Cambridge. You’ll be fine as long as you order by the number and don’t ask ANY questions.

Very badly run restaurant. I’m surprised McDonald’s corporate allows this place to run. Some examples of why not to go here: 1) The person cooking fries was completely untrained and did not even know how to scoop the fries. He appeared disheveled and was not wearing a uniform. At first, I thought that he was a homeless person that just walked in and starting playing with the fries. 2) An older Asian woman(perhaps the owner) was chatting behind the counter with the manager about her troubles with traffic on Mass Turnpike even though there was a line of people during lunch hour. Again, no uniform and right off the street. No very hygienic. 3) The team was completely confused about orders which created even longer waiting times.

This place was disgusting. Every table was slimy, the chairs had dirt on them, and the bathroom was covered in vomit(the boys bathroom). Once we heard that we couldn’t think about going into the girls! If that is how they keep the floor, what is the kitchen like? We all had ice creams and fries. It was eh, I don’t want to go back ever again in my life.

Here at McDonalds at 6:20PM and the place is a mess. Manager is standing around, tables are DISGUSTINGLYDIRTY. Is it because poor people live here that the staff doesn’t feel the need to clean the place?

The quality of the food is good, but the service is absolutely horrible. The majority of employees are extremely unhappy everyday and apparently now they do not give out cups of water which I find ridiculous.

Came here in the morning for breakfast… wow…it’s been so long! I didn’t realize how small their breakfast sandwiches had gotten!!! They’re like baby breakfast sandwiches. The service wasn’t bad at all, perhaps even better than most McDonalds I have been too. We got our food ordered and ready to go in about 5 minutes. This location is pretty convenient, right on mass ave… perfect for one of those late night McDonalds fries urges! The décor is also pretty modern. The place was pretty clean when we got there in the morning. The restroom was also surprisingly clean. Just a note, you have to push the door somewhat in order to use the restroom. I wish there was a sign or something. I ended up waiting for the restroom when It turned out the place was empty. Lol. –_-«’.

I grew up in a suburban area with a McDonalds at the edge of my neighborhood. I have fond memories of this place and really don’t expect much considering its McDonalds, but I can’t deal with this place. Maybe it’s because of the location with sketchy and homeless people that always try to come in, but the staff here have given me unnecessary attitude when I look like the least sketchy person in the restaurant. I have a small appetite and get full off of a McChicken sandwich, so that’s what I ordered once. The cashier gave me a look and was like«AND?», to which I replied«that’s all please.» Then she said«THAT’S IT? JUST A MCCHICKEN?» as if only ordering one thing under $ 2 was the worst thing in the world. Also the 20 minute signs are off putting, totally understandable given the location, but if I’m not lollygagging and still eating food that I paid for, I don’t want to be kicked out. Anyway, even though this place is a 10 minute walk from where I live, I gladly go out of my way to eat at the McDonalds on Western Ave in Allston. It’s tons better over there and it’s an added workout for eating McDonalds, haha.

I like the new renovation and the fact now that they have a self serve soda machine so you can get free refills thats why it gets 2 stars but this place isn’t the most sanitary .I watched a homeless guy put his mouth on the coke part of the machine and drink directly from it yuck!!.I told one of the staffwho just looked at me like it was a regular thing, disgusting .I hate McDonald’s as it is but this spot makes me hate It more!

Barely! The place is poorly maintained, they have a 20 min limit, AND they charge 63 cents more for an ice cream cone than EVERYWHERE else in the area. That’s about a 60% increase compared to locations that are MUCH cleaner, MUCH nicer in the whole Boston area.

The Central Square area has many nice places to eat — this is not one of them. The atmosphere is unfriendly(20 minute maximum, the signs say), and neither of the two reasons why I sometimes eat at McD apply here: there is lots of reliably good food for ok prices in the neighbourhood, and the hours are not great either. If you want a quick snack, better head over to Falafel Palace, which is open until 3 am and has tastier food.

By and large, a McDonalds is a McDonalds and there really isn’t much new under the sun, but this particular location deserves a review… and not necessarily for good reasons. I’ll preface by saying that this is pretty much Hobo Central in that at any given time, there will be at least one piss-stenched homeless person either outside begging for change or INSIDE the establishment, lookin’ to cash in a few pennies for a cheeseburger. Often times, the police are called to escort any number of troublesome characters away. In other words, I get why they lock the bathrooms and why they impose a strict 20-Minute dining policy in the restaurant. Here’s where I’m going to complain just a little… and I’ll preface THIS by saying I know I’m gonna come off as a pompous, arrogant snob for saying this, so I apologize in advance. My seven-year-old daughter and I were kicked out of their McDonalds a couple of weeks ago for exceeding their 20-minute rule. First off, up until that moment, I wasn’t aware they even HAD the rule, but it’s posted, so I didn’t complain. I got up and left like a good boy… but when I looked at my receipt, I saw that we were actually kicked out 21 minutes after the printing of my receipt which means they timed us to the minute. I spent about $ 13.00 between me and my daughter and I was on my Macbook, checking emails and whatnot. Yes, I’d totally understand their strict adherence to the 20-minute policy if the place was packed… but there were exactly two other people dining in when I was asked to leave, meaning there were still plenty of seats available. I don’t know. I don’t think it would have killed them to relax the rule a bit for us. For one thing, we spent a good deal of money there, Plus, we weren’t being at all loud or disruptive… and let’s face it: kIds eat slower than adults anyway. Plus, I wasn’t one of the aforementioned unbathed«gonna buy a small drink and refill it all night» hobos that frequent the place. But then came the coup de grâce. My daughter needed to use the locked bathroom… and when I approached the counter after having vacated our seats, I was told we had to buy something before they’d buzz her in. «Um, no offense, but I just spent $ 13.00 here. How much more do I have to spend for my daughter to use the toilet?» The same manager that kicked us out did, to his credit, buzz her in, but wow! That’s hospitality for ya. Again, it may seem petty to some and I really do understand how working in THAT particular McDonalds might make someone jaded, but you don’t have to treat ALL of us like the homeless loiterers you have arrested for trespassing.

Unfriendly staff that seems to be annoyed being bothered by its customers. They also charge you to pay for a cup if you only want tap water. First and last visit to this McDonald.

I never write reviews for corporations and fast food chain restaurants, but this is the worst mc donalds restaurant i’ve ever been to!!! C’mon…you’re thinking, it’s mcdonalds, how bad could it be, right? I came in here because it was snowing outside and I needed to use the restroom FIRST before I ordered. C’mon, do I look like someone who can’t afford to buy something and wants to use a restroom for free? I do respect«customers only» bathrooms okay. I usually or plan to buy things if I need to use their restrooms. The restrooms were locked and I asked the lady working there. I told her I’m going to buy something but I need to use the restroom first, ASAP(im sure you’ve been in those situations)! And she replied«you need to buy something first» and nodded towards the cashier. Really? I don’t have a problem with buying something first, but she gave me some attitude as if I don’t have money and I just want to use the restroom. geez woman. I could just give you a damn $ 20 to open the restroom for me. Then as I stood in line(there’s only 1 cashier open) the guy in front of me is taking his sweeeet sweeet time. «Oh yeah… i would like a pie. Ohh cherry pie sounds good! Mmmmm yeah cherry. Ooh yeah. What do you want man? Ill get you something. Ok let’s get 2 of #9. Get a drink man. Cmon man, it’s on me.» You get the idea. Here I was about to pee in my pants and punch him in the face. I swore he took like 5 mins to order. The worst thing is that theres 2 other workers next to him, doing nothing, they couldve easily opened up a cashier and take my order, right? there’s also other people behind me waiting for this guy. As bad as fast food chains customer service are, I’ve never had worse than this! It’s not like it’s at a shady stop next to the highway or something, it’s a newly renovated good looking mcdonald’s on central square for goodness sake! Sadly I’ve heard other people saying that the manager doesn’t care. Of course, it’s McDonalds. No matter how bad it is, they will still get customers. Even if I don’t need to use the restroom, I wouldn’t go to this mcdonalds again in the future. Who needs attitude?!

Not a friendly location. There are signs all over with a 20 min dining room limit while eating. So I can’t enjoy my time at McD and savor all the calories I’m ingesting? The staff was as friendly as the signs. There was a lady asking them 3x to buzz her into the restroom. It was only the 4th time that they told her that she has to push hard on the door after the buzz. Worst McD ever! First time in my life that I felt so uncomfie eating a Filet O Fish meal besides the fact that I had no idea where they hid the straw machine.

I was hesitant on checking in/writing a review for McDonalds… but, I have to… they’re Iced Coffee is seriously amazing. Where have I been this whole time? It’s so cheap, and so much better than dunks… and quite frankly, kind of liked it a tad more than Starbucks as well. So yay McDonalds… I like you for your coffee.

You’re probably wondering why I came I here. Really, it was just for the iced tea. But I do like this McDs, only because it reminds me of the 80s McDonalds I used to go to. Why? It has two doors and that same old look. The doors slide open, similar to those like CVS… like a panel. Other than that same as everywhere else.

I never bother writing reviews for corporations, but this is a rare exception because of how crappy the experience of eating at this location is. If you want to be treated like a human and not a dollar bill don’t go to this location. If you want to eat outside and be treated like the same customer who eats inside don’t go to this location. If you want more than the official single packet of sauce per 6 chicken nuggets don’t go here. If you want a refill without having to buy ANOTHERFULLDRINK don’t go here. No seats available, went to sit outside, had the wind knock my drink off my tray, and even then COULDNOTGET A REFIL. Don’t bother talking to the manager, she doesn’t care what actually happened to you, rules are rules and she does not bend them, even if it means you will never go back again.

Am I really writing a review about McDonald’s? I am. This place is disgusting, truly disgusting. However, let me stand up for this place, the neighboring Wendy’s down the street and Taco Bell in Inman Square is gone; this is the last fast food in Cambridge I can think of. So, fellow Cambridgeians, we need to unite and keep this place in business. Although the customer service sucks and the food tastes sub-par, they have the best diet coke on this side of the Mississippi. I remember, vividly, one time a few months ago when I purchased a fish sandwich(I know, why would someone do that? I was on a fish kick, leave me alone). I opened the cardboard box containing my mouth watering sandwich while my friend judged me. I sunk my fangs into said sandwich and: splash: miscellaneous liquids jumped onto my friend’s face. Disgusted with what I saw, I finished the sandwich, downed a McChicken(with cheese and onions) and vowed to never come back… … I came back. But seriously, the Big Mac is the new laxative.
