Years ago I bought the white room-​darkening shades for my 10-​rm. house in Davis Sq., Somerville from John at Mohawk. I love the service I’ve had and I love the shades (most look good as new). It is ALWAYS a pleasure to deal with John.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am to John at Mohawk Shade who has twice helped me out of difficulty with grace and expertise. I bought my complicated blind set-​up from a purveyor who has since disappeared; when I needed to know how to adjust the blind cords, John stayed in his shop past closing time until I could get there so he could (at no charge) show me. This week, a technician (perhaps John himself?) from Mohawk came from Cambridge to Boston at very short notice to replace the brackets on a shade that had been sucked into a vacuum cleaner by its cords (don’t ask); my tenants needed immediate action, and immediate and expert action is what they got. I wish all businesses had such capable, KIND, responsive people at the other end of the phone line.
