Pizza Pub

The pizza pub slightly exceeded my expectations, which were quite low. Pizza was alright, certainly not «best in the upper Midwest» as the menu touted.
Noisy atmosphere, but that made it a decent place to bring our small, loud children!
Service was very nice and prompt.
I’d go back again.

I can’t give Pizza Pub a 5, because honestly — it isn’t the perfect slice of good ‘ol, authentic Mid-​East coast Italian pizza; however, for us here up the sticks of Cambridge, MN, it’s the best slice in town, and packs a bargain for bunches with their inexpensive «all you can eat» pizza buffet, and no toppings are lacking on this menu. From plain cheese to garbage pie, it’s always piping hot thanks to the patrons packing the buffet line.
I don’t recommend dining-​in for anything other than the buffet unless you’re ready to wait for half-​time for a server, and the end of the game for grub. They are a friendly bunch, but the crowd seems to be overwhelming for ticket orders. At least they have a few older but entertaining games for the kiddies to play while waiting though, as long as they don’t spend your meal ticket during the excessive wait.

We stopped at the Pizza Pub on our walk home to a friend’s house and loved the pizza selection. Our server was very helpful in recommending a few favorites: the buffalo chicken and the special (loaded) pizza.
Our friends who ordered the «large» beer were tickled to find out they were a whopping 34 ounce liter size. Prices were great and in all came out to just over $ 10/​person including beer.
We really liked the pizza and the way it was prepared with toasty crust and hefty portions of toppings, cut into small squares for easy sharing.

The pizza is pretty good! The service is terrible though. After waiting almost 40 minutes for a small (6 inch) pizza to come to my table– when there are only 2 other bodies in the dining area mind you– I was forgotten about until I walked up to the counter and asked for a refill and my check. My waitress, along with 4 other ladies and 2 young men, all looked shocked when they saw me. So I’m going to guess that yes, I was in fact forgotten. When it’s more important to stand behind the counter and chit chat when you’ve got patrons sitting 3 feet away from you with EMPTY glasses you’ve got a problem. If you like good pizza and don’t mind it taking forever go for it, but I won’t be back.

My experience at the pizza pub was the worst ever. Firstly it took over 20 minutes for the waitstaff to come and take our order. After 45 minutes we begin receiving our food for a party of six. I ordered a hamburger. I took one bite and the hamburger tasted
smells even worse. The waitstaff came over to the table asked how our food was and I looked at her and I said it was awful she goes oh great and left didn’t bother to ask what was wrong with the food ready thing I could not finish it when I was asked the waitress if I could comp my meal again I was ignored. I will never ever go there again. There was a party in the lower level all the waitstaff were down there and it continued to flocked on there and no one upstairs got any service whatsoever when I looked over at the bar area Louis three staff standing there talking about their yesterday experience. They were rolling silverware up and napkins. Totally ignoring everyone then as I was watching one girl blew her nose in a napkin threw it away it did not bother to wash her hands and went right back to rolling silverware-​ish-​ish-​ish. I wrote an email to the company explaining the situation and my experience the only thing I received in response to my email was oh will look into it nothing else. No response back after they supposedly «look into it». Hopefully this business closes due to their on sanitary conditions they’re spoiled food and they are god awful service.

⁵⁄₅ For local bars/​pizza. Great pizza, they have a lunch buffet that is really cheap. Also, good drink specials and a good place for a night out. That being said, during the day it is a very family friendly place.

They also have two decent pool tables and free for a couple hours on Wednesday nights.

Best pizza for miles. The Pub Special is my favorite pizza ever. Chicken Alfredo pizza is super good too. The buffet is slow but worth every cent to try different pizzas. Their sodas are frequently not great and they’re spendier than other pizza places but worth it.

Looks like they have recently remodeled. I was not expecting it to be this nice especially because it was located on main street (seems like most business spend their money closer to the freeway).
Pizza was great, but the service was even better.

I’ve been here a few times. The food is adequate with a spicier pizza sauce. The bar seems to be for the 20 something younger crowd. The video games are usually busy. Delivery is best. I prefer the North Branch location.

I happened to be in Cambridge one evening and there wasn’t much to choose from in the way of dining that wasn’t fast food. It was pretty much this place, a Little Chinese establishment, or a little café right next door. I flipped a coin in my head and chose this place.
Upon entering I was greeted right away and was told I could sit wherever I would like. Although the place has a bar, it’s kid friendly, they have a pool table and video games and there’s good seating away from the bar area. The pizza was better than I expected, I’m guessing this is the best pizza joint in Cambridge.
Althugh I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here, I would definitely come back here again if I’m in Cambridge. Our service was great and the pizza was pretty good too.
