This is where I grab lunch whenever I’m having a blah or sick day. The food is fresh, wholesome, and healthy, and tastes so good! The staff is beyond friendly; I always walk out with a smile.

Can’t say enough good things about this place! My boyfriend brought me here for some soup when I was sick with a cold and it was like coming home to my grandma’s kitchen. They had so many soups and every one was delicious — I know because Mr. Soun offered us samples of all of them! We didn’t even ask! They change them up all the time, but I had an amazing black bean soup and bought 2 more kinds to-go(tomato basil and veggie). Awesome spot, truly a community gem, will definitely be back for more soup!

This is my second review of Souper Roll Up! I just wanted to mention that the owner is an absolute sweetheart. I went into the café on June 23rd(my birthday) to grab a quick banana-avocado smoothie before work. It’s now mid-August and the owner remembered me, and that morning, and gave me a free cookie today as a late birthday gift. The cookie was delicious.

Good food, great prices, and very kind owners. I saw they accepted credit cards and didn’t know there was a limit(cash only under $ 10). The owner made an exception so I could eat there. Great service and I’ll be back again, with cash next time ;)

Best«home style» soups and wraps in the area! Everything here tastes like something your(really amazing cook) mother would make you for a nice picnic. The soups are made fresh daily, and are served with a big piece of french bread. The wraps are made with fresh ingredients, and are amazing. More than that the people here are very friendly.

One good reason to go there is that they use real dishes and cutlery(no plastic) and they recycle the plastic bottles! For less than 10 $ I had a big gazpacho soup(a full dish) with a vegetarian wrap, and they also asked me if I wanted free bread with the soup. I tasted the spinach soup and it was delicious. Classic music in the background and very friendly staff. No restroom

Curry vegetable soup with chicken on Thursdays is the highlight of my lunch week. If you get ½ sandwich and soup with a drink it is ~$ 10. Reasonable. The wraps are really good. Teriyaki chicken is my favorite. Great family owned and run lunch spot

I work down the road, so started going here more often. Everything has been great so far. They have an ever-changing list of soups/chowders that have all been fantastic. As well as the sandwiches/wraps. The owners are also very friendly every time I’ve been in for lunch. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and service. I’ve been here twice and both times I enjoyed a soup and half sandwich. Have not been disappointed. This is one of the many small restaurants/cafes that make Inman Square a great community.

It’s cold and wet out, which is an apt description for what feels like 90 percent of the days from October to March in the Boston area. So soup is always craved! When you walk in it’s warm and the smell is comforting. Then you have glance at the menu and the prices seem good, and then you walk up to the cashier notice the list of specials which normally includes at least three soups and a wrap. That’s what you want to order from, the specials board. The soups rotate and so does the wrap. I have had to date the chicken noodle(where the noodles are perfectly chewy and the broth flavorful), the chicken barley(filling and just warms you up), and the chicken and vegetable curry(perfect balance and wonderfully not mushy vegetables). The salads are always fresh and large. When you get your food and notice the size that’s when you truly realize the prices aren’t just good they are amazing. I work close by so for me this is a winter must I go in order two quarts of soup and that’s lunch for awhile, and its always perfect. It’s noticeably family run and they are always so nice and friendly which makes me want soup even more.

First time going to Souper Roll Up Café today because of all the positive Unilocal reviews and sure enough first thing when I walk in, I meet Soun, the owner, who was incredibly nice and outgoing. He could tell it was my first time and helped guide me through the options. I knew he was genuine and not just small talking when he actually shook my hand to introduce himself and repeated my name during the service, I’m assuming in an effort actually remember my name. I got a BBQ chicken wrap and the vegetarian split pea soup. I went at an odd hour(3 pm) and the chicken was clearly fresh and moist still and the lettuce and tomato ripe and fresh as well. The wrap had a good BBQ sauce to tie it all together and overall a great sandwich. The split pea soup was a great starter, reminding me of my mothers homemade split pea soup minus the ham, and it will definitely make me go back to try more soups or the split pea again with the fall and winter cold coming. I look forward to trying there other options in the future.

So let me just start off by saying healthy food isn’t quite my preference when I go out to eat. In my humble opinion, it’s almost always flavorless and lacking. Upon arriving, I looked at the menu and couldn’t see myself really craving any of the options. I chose the ½ roll up and soup combo. For my ½ roll up I got the chicken tarragon, and for my soup, chicken barley. The soup came first and I was far from disappointed. Super fresh vegetables and a generous helping of chicken completely wow’ed me. The roll up? Even better. Again, plenty of well seasoned, quality chicken matched with fresh veggies. Also, whatever dressing they had used was like nothing I’ve had before. Complemented the wrap perfectly. Another issue I have with wraps and soups, is that they never usually satisfy my appetite. I assure you this was not the case. I ate almost everything and am still full a few hours later. In addition to the really delicious food, I must also include the same praise for the owners as everyone else has in their reviews. Friendly, helpful, welcoming, and obviously want your experience to be the best it can possibly be. How can you not check this place out?

Yummy! This place is fantastic. Everything is so fresh. I had the soup and roll up combo with broccoli soup and the California roll-up and it was so delicious! My husband had the tarragon chicken and it was also delicious! A very unique flavor. To top it all off, the service is fast and friendly and the place feels like you’re in someone’s home. Will definitely be back!

Souper Rollup is located on Cambridge Street in East Cambridge on the Boston side of Inman Square. it is a cozy and friendly little neighborhood spot run by a wonderful couple who are as kind and sweet as all of the reviews below say they are. The service here is second to none in terms of efficiency, friendliness, and overall hospitality. There are many fine dining establishments that could learn from the earnest and sincere graciousness of the owners. I have had more than a dozen different types of soup here in the past two years and have been pleased with all of them. I noticed earlier a woman reviewed the soup and said she did not care for the texture. I am sure they do not use cornstarch to thicken their soups, it seems to me that they use a roux, made out of flour and butter(just a guess, but quite different from cornstarch IMHO). Regardless, they always have an unthickened soup on the menu so if you do not care for roux thickened soups there is always an alternative. They source their breads from local bakeries, they buy their chicken from Mayflower(down the street), they use incredibly fresh ingredients, and it shows. Everything is made in house from scratch and the food is simply incredible. I have not had a better experience in East Cambridge and I am sincerely not easily impressed. So thanks for all the great sandwiches and healthy healing soups. My family and I absolutely adore this spot and urge anyone to give them a try. My single complaint is that they are closed on Sunday which is my day off with my wife and daughter so we have to find another place to go for Sunday lunch.

I have been coming here occasionally for about 2 years. I believe it is a husband and wife who own this small, hidden gem in Inman Square. They are the nicest people running an eatery that I’ve encountered since moving to Boston. They will remember your face and welcome you back each time you return. There is not much ambience, but it’s cozy due to the food and customer service. What’s even better is that the soup is flavorful, hearty, and delicious. For these reasons, I suggest visiting this café if you are in the area.

I went in here on a cold day for some very delicious healthy chicken curry soup. I was very impressed with the rapport the staff had with whoever walked in. They treated me ever so kindly and it was all quite affordable($ 4.50 for a big soup) Give it try!
