What can you say about an Irrisponsible owner and staff that takes their smelly green bags of trash and dumps the chemical laden yuck daily in the City’s bins on Huron Ave? How clean is the interior and what they use on our hands if they don’t care about the neighboring businesses, nor the abutting home owners when they dump their debris on City property.

In general, I’m not one to go for a salon-quality haircut, but I thought I’d try out Salon @ Huron Village today. I had Kasha and overall I’m satisfied with what she did. I had great treatment and she really did a nice job. I paid $ 60 for the cut though, which is a bit out of my price range. Also, I asked her to take an inch off and she really took around 2 – 3 off. Still, it’s really cute, so I don’t mind so much!

Very professional and nice staff! A small but cheerful and relaxed environment, they are all good here but Miriam is the best! She always listens to what I want and gives a simple haircut a stylish edge. I’ve gone through many hairdressers in the past 8 years and for the last 2.5 I’ve stuck by Miriam. I’ll continue to go to her even if I move out of the area. The cost is average to a little steeper than average but it’s well worth the price. My hair grows out so nicely in between haircuts that I don’t have to go as often as I used to with past hair dressers. Thanks Miriam! (You can pay w/credit card but you need to leave a cash tip)(Miriam & Natalie also do updos for weddings)

Panicking because I’m going out of town tomorrow and my hair was out of control, I called this morning and they were able to fit me in this afternoon! Even better, the woman on the phone asked whether I had long or short hair before deciding who I should see — I love getting a haircut from someone who actually understands short hair. All the staff were really friendly and laid back, and I got a shampoo and great haircut from Kasha in about 45 minutes. Really, what more can you ask? The haircut cost $ 60 — a little steep, but I’ll be going back anyways.

So I had gotten an unfortunate haircut that seriously needed to get fixed somehow. Kasha saved me! I showed her a picture of the edgy, yet girly ‘do I wanted and she gave me a gorgeous haircut that was exactly what I wanted. Not only that, she squeezed me in at a moment’s notice and was really sweet about making sure I got what I wanted.

My boyfriend who has a big curly fro grew up in Boston and until recently went to Salon Le Pli in Harvard Square for haircuts. Several of his favorite stylists just left Salon Le Pli to open up The Salon @ Huron Village, so we went to support them and check out their new space. They do a wonderful job at cutting curly, curly hair — you know, taming the beast and all. He got a great haircut and we both really enjoyed hanging out in the salon. He’ll definitely be going back when the fro gets unmanageable again.
