Camden House Bed & Breakfast

I stayed here for two night last weekend while I was in town for a wedding. The reception was also held at the venue so I was staying in one of the four rooms with the bride, her parents and a bridesmaid in the other three rooms. From the moment I got there, I was impressed with the house, the bedrooms and the staff. The couple who run this B&B are so helpful and friendly! Need a pen & pad to write a note? — they’ll grab it for you! Running low on champagne but the bride is still a bundle of nerves? — they have a stock you can purchase from!
My room featured a beautiful raised bed, sitting room and huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub. I stayed alone but it would have also be very comfortable for two people. The other three rooms were equally nice (and two of them were even bigger!).
As an event site, Camden House was amazing. For the wedding, there was a tent set up out back, tables & chairs, a stage for the band, a dance floor and three bars — all outside! You could set your drink on the higher cocktail tables, take a seat at the lower tables to eat some food or spend your night on the dance floor in front of the stage.
I had a wonderful weekend at Camden House and if I ever find myself near Camden, SC again I will stop by!

A charming home with loads of character. Upper porch is so peaceful. Owners are fine hosts to have in this somewhat sleepy antebellum getaway of a town. Worth a stopover.
